Really? I LOVE that show. Just finished watching it. I did the first half on the treadmill and the second half while eating some Cheesy Wild Bread STUFT Style. Probably not the best thing to eat while watching The Biggest Loser, but I was having my own par-tay!
The Biggest Loser is sooooooo great! All those obstacles those people have overcome and they look soooooooo good! Not to mention Bob is my secret boyfriend and Jillian in my hero.
Quick recap of the day.
Hmmmm…. Southern California in May. Rain??????? What the???
Well, it was the perfect morning for some Banana Peanut Butter Hooligan Pancakes. I make these a lot without the banana or peanut butter when I feel like I need a good protein fix in the morning (and am craving something syrupy). Today I needed more than just a little protein fix so I added the extras (banana and Naturally More). They came out pretty well. I made a batch for the boys without the splenda or peanut butter. Banana only for them, but they LOVED it. I think I want to play with the recipe a little more to make it even better, but…..
Peanut Butter and Banana Hooligan Pancakes
- 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup oats
- 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 cup egg substitute
- 1 splenda packet
- a little vanilla
- a little cinnamon
- pinch of salt
- 1 banana
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter (I used Naturally More)
Combine all ingredients. (I like to keep the banana a little chunky and the peanut butter not totally mixed in.) Pour into a baking dish sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
Bake at 400 for 25 minutes.
serve with a little agave nectar or sugar free maple syrup.
Since we got rained out of the park this morning for Strollerwise so we all went to the mall for our workout. A couple laps around the mall and some stops for resistance training. Perfect! Plus it was a great change of scenery and the mommies got to make a few stops afterwards.
I was too cheap to buy a bagel for the boys (we had some organic Clif bars packed in our bag already), but that didn’t stop us from taking a few samples. Thanks Panera!
I’m also proud to say that I WON a squishy caterpillar from one of those claw machines. It only cost me $1.50 ( I could’ve probably bought 2 bagels for that dumb thing). It was a big hit though. We’ll see how long it stays in one piece.
I also splurged and used some gift cards that I’ve been hanging onto for over a year. Here are my purchases.
I’m feeling a little guilty that I used them on myself. I may have to return some things (that’s weird, I never make returns-ha!). But…….. it was all on gift cards so maybe it’s okay?
An apple with cinnamon and a green tea latte as a snack. Um, and do you have one of these?
Cus it’s AWESOME! I use mine everyday to froth soy milk (or almond milk) for my lattes. Look at what it does. Just fabulous!
Lunch was Best Ever Ginger Wasabi Green Salad, but instead of a veggie burger I used a teriyaki chicken breast. (I buy them in a huge bag from Costco.)
Just a little rooster sauce. He he! After about 20 minutes in the oven (or 3 minutes in the microwave) it’s yummy and crispy and ready to go on top of the salad. Mmmmm….
The boys had a veggie burger, some chicken, roasted beets, and a banana almond butter sandwich.
Tonight…… after I finished my treadmill run I had some Cheesy Wild Bread with Trader Joe’s Wheat Pizza Dough. (LOVE LOVE LOVE that stuff!) and wrapped up my “Biggest Loser Party”.
Would you take a look at this party.
Does anyone else “party” by themselves at 10:00 pm?
Okay… must… go.. to… sleep…….. My main goal tomorrow is to tackle my office. UGH.
EMBARRASSING!!!!! But….. not as embarrassing as these…..
Sorry, I just had to. Not my finest feature. Do you think someone needs a pedicure??? Ahhh!!!!!
Tomorrow is the debut of “Workout Wednesday”. I’m going to FINALLY post a basic strength training workout on here.
Eww. I really need to stop looking at this picture of my feet, it’s disturbing. Maybe this will help end things on a good note.
