Ready for some C’s?????? (I’m hoping to make it quick tonight and get to bed to rest up for a big party tomorrow and the big race on Monday.)
Cross Country run without shoes? My day today started by meeting this nice girl while I was at the park for STUFT Boot Camp. She made it all the way to Escondido for her training run, but without running shoes. Luckily I had my boot camp shoes (pictured) AND my aerobics shoes (for the YMCA classes later) in my car. She borrowed them without hesitation (and they were pretty dirty). Looks like the run went well though!
(Not a very flattering picture of me. Why must I hunch over? I’m already short.)
Costco. No comment. I do NOT recommend going there with twins on a Saturday afternoon (on a holiday weekend) in 90 degree weather. I couldn’t even bare take any pictures. I will not be doing that again. One highlight though- on the way there Joaquin was saying “Costco” loud and clear in the car. Isn’t that nice? He knows probably 10 words and “Costco” is now one of them. Should I be proud or embarrassed?
Carbs. I should be eating some good carbs tonight to get ready for my race. Too bad I was too lazy and tired after Costco to cook. I settled for some roasted zucchini and broccoli and some cheese sandwiches with a side of marinara. It was delicious.
Crushed red pepper- I LOVE this stuff. I did a big girl pour tonight into the marinara sauce.
Ha ha ha! Not a very good picture. Where is that Man vs. Food guy? I want to challenge him! Spicy food or huge dessert. I think I have both in the bag.
Crying. Sometimes you just have to let it all out right? I just cried for about 30 minutes while trying to talk and eat at the same time (not recommended). Life always throws you a curve ball, right? I’m a very indecisive person, yet the past 2 years have been filled with huge life decisions. It’s hard trying to figure out the path God wants you to take sometimes. Moving from a steady career (and steady paycheck) to being a mom, running a fitness business and trying to enter into this healthy lifestyle blogging isn’t easy (and there is NOT a lot financially to show for it). But….. life’s all about following your dreams, taking a leap of faith, and seeing where it leads you, right? Yes, you have to work hard (sometimes that means staying up until 1 am and giving up your favorite TV shows), but if you have passion and true grit, anything is possible. Here’s the link again to the inspirational article from Women’s Magazine that I wrote about awhile back. I always like to read it to get a little extra motivation. http://www.womenshealthmag.com/life/success-secrets
Chocolate Vitatop (Double Chocolate Dreams to be exact) topped with a Cookies and Cream Skinny Cow Sandwich.
For 250 calories you just may have saved my night.
And just so I don’t make this a “Debbie Downer” post…………
Corn and Coupons (and remains of my cute little pad of paper) all over the kitchen floor. Why must they always throw food (and tear things)?
An attempt to Change up my “uniform” with a different tank top.
I guess not. Thanks Kitty for ruining most of my shirts.
And….. you did think I’d forget did you?
Cassowary- yeah, Andrew’s cassowary that was on Jimmy Kimmel Thursday night. Here’s the video. It’s freaking hilarious.
(I think Jimmy would LOVE Kitty don’t you? Maybe I should see if we can get those two together.)
And here’s some pictures of an adult cassowary (one of the parents of the “famous” bird). We took these yesterday. I risked my life to get these for you. Ha!
And here’s an article with a little more information on these
scary weird looking amazing birds.
Yeah, I picked one from the Safari Park on purpose. I have to give Andrew’s work place a little plug right? It’s only the COOLEST place ever!
Oh, and one last C
Changes- I have an awesome friend doing some things to make this blog a little easier on the eyes. Yay!!!!!! I can’t thank him enough for putting up with me!
