I’m not sure if I feel worse from the race yesterday or the celebratory wine and pizza last night.
Ha ha ha! We’re classy.
I COULD NOT catch a break yesterday after the race. They boys wouldn’t nap and I was soo tired. I tried everything.
Coloring.
(Cool picture, huh? I made it online.)
Show and tell with Daddy.
(We hand raises that bird a couple of years ago.)
Some fun with containers.
Then I got desperate.
“Yo Gabba Gabba”. How did I not know about this show before?
It kept their attention for about 10 minutes. I guess that was something.
After the boys’ dinner I thought we’d revisit the whole feeding themselves with a spoon again. Thank goodness it wasn’t as messy as the sneaky chocolate pudding. Ha!
This time it was berry cobbler and I put it on the spoon for them instead of giving them the whole bowl. I might have to stick with that technique for awhile.
So….. after the finally went to bed we were ready for our gourmet feast (Papa John’s and cheap wine). It was surprisingly good although my stomach is feeling it today.
This morning I made a delicious smoothie before Strollerwise.
In the mix-
- espresso cubes
- splenda packets
- 1/2 frozen banana
- handful of fresh spinach
- 1/2 scoop protein powder (I used Designer Whey Vanilla Almond)
- 2 tablespoons my favorite cocoa powder
- 1 1/4 cup almond milk (I used unsweetened vanilla Almond Breeze)
- pinch of xanthan gum (for thickening)
It was delicious and filling and about 200 calories. The perfect treat before my morning workout.
For lunch I just had some leftover pizza. (Probably not a good idea.)
And a little yogurt parfait.
Chobani strawberry yogurt (from Costco variety pack) with a couple of strawberries, a little chia seeds, a few raw oats, and some Trader Joe’s Organic Trek Mix. Oh, what a treat.
Okay, I better get going. I have A LOT to do during nap time. Hopefully I can get some things organized on here. We’re making some changes. Woo hoo! I’m a little nervous because I don’t know what I’m doing when it comes to computers, but I have an amazing guy helping me out and doing all the difficult stuff!
Oh….. and we didn’t make it in the actual paper yesterday for the race, but we DID make it on the website. That’s something, right? I’ll take it. I’ve been trying to get in the newspaper since I was about 7 years old. My brother ALWAYS got his picture in the paper (usually while I watched from the side) and I’ve been jealous ever since.
Here’s our race photo link. It’s not a very flattering picture. I was TIRED.
Have a good one! Judah’s crying. Awesome. He must know I have a lot I need to do. What a great guy.

LOVE the pic! Yea for you!! Congrats! And take a deep breath 🙂 I think we need a lunch date to relax?? 🙂
Thanks Ari! And thanks for being my blogger inspiration! Yes, let’s please go to lunch soon!
Whoa – cool photo! Congrats on another race!
