Skid Marks

I’m guessing your night last night was a little cleaner than mine. After the boys went to bed I had big plans to get on the treadmill right away and then sit down to watch some TV and have dinner and get some work done.

Here’s where I was instead.


My little buddy Judah decided to leave Mommy a present on the bath tub. This guy is always keeping things interesting (and messing up my plans). SmileBrace yourself for the next photo.


Disgusting!!!!! I scrubbed and scrubbed. It took me forever to get that spot (in the picture on the right) off. What did he eat? ha ha ha!

The I got distracted trying to take a picture of my Beaker face (my favorite character from the Muppets). I wrote about how I can do a good impression in my It’s Not Easy Being Green post so I thought I’d try to prove it. I think I lost my touch a little (I used to be able to do such a good one in high school), but here you go.


I did manage to get on the treadmill LATE last night for a 6 mile run. Luckily I had a movie to watch.


It was okay and I’m hoping I can get up early tomorrow to finish it.

Today was all about breakfast on the go. My usual summertime breakfast on the go is a cold mocha with espresso cubes and a Chef Jay’s peanut butter bar.


Another favorite on the go treat is a Vitatop. I gave one up to the boys for Strollerjam. Smile


Once we ran some errands and got home it was smoothie time and let me tell you, I was really impressed with today’s smoothie.


  • spinach
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • cottage cheese (probably 3/4 cup)
  • Naked Berry Blast juice


It blended up so well and was super creamy and tasty. Mmm……. I don’t know why I didn’t think of adding cottage cheese to the boys’ smoothies earlier. Look at this creaminess.



I got a little cocky about my concoction. Joaquin took care of that.


Note to self- No more bats allowed in the kitchen.


At least it wasn’t Kitty making a mess on the counter for a change.


Oh look, at least someone’s getting use from my US Weekly magazine. Oh how I miss the days of being able to lounge and read it all in one sitting. It USED to be the highlight of my week. I mean I would RUN to the mailbox on Fridays and would be sooooo upset if it wasn’t there. Times have changed.

And….. the mess didn’t end there. I made my own while the boys were sleeping.


You would think I’d learn to use a bigger mug for my Green Microwave Muffin, but no.

I HAVE learned how to not waste any batter though.


And how to fix it up with a little PB2 cottage cheese and a little scoop of Naturally More and SunButter (I couldn’t decide which one I wanted to top it with so I just did both).


Dirty dishes in the sink- you are NOT my friends. Ugh.


But……….. broccoli slaw spaghetti, cheese sandwiches, STUFT Fro Yogurt and the Bachelorette are!!!!! Off to make dinner and plop myself on the couch for the Bachelorette. I wonder what kind of drama tonight’s episode will bring.

See you tomorrow. I will NOT burn my dinner tonight (like I did the other night)!!!!

    So, my husband was sitting next to me on the couch while I was reading your blog and he glanced over and said “She’s jacked!” I said “I know! That’s why she’s such an inspiration and I like to read her blog.” Thought you might like to hear that. On another note, I’m teaching my first non-Les Mills class on thursday. It’s an athletic training class that I’m just subbing so the instructor will already have the class scheduled out but he does some exercises I don’t like so I might substitute a few of them. What are your top 5 non-weighted exercises with a big sweat/burn factor?

      Okay, too funny that your husband said that. I am a mess aren’t I? I recently lost 2 friends on Facebook and I got worreid that I’m a little too much to handle, so your comment is MUCH appreciated! Okay, so top 5 non-weighted exercises would have to be: frog jumps (forward and back), reverse lunges (with a jump option), burpies, mountain climbers and squat jumps (or plie squat jumps). Oh and I REALLY like reverse curtsey lunges with a jump. Oops. that’s 6. 🙂 Good luck in your class! Let me know how it goes!
