Want a Ride?

People usually are quick to tell me that they’ll meet me somewhere rather than riding together. Sometimes I think that’s weird since gas prices are so high. Then I think, well, maybe they don’t want to be seen with the obnoxious advertising sticker, or maybe my car is too dirty (inside and out), or maybe there’s just not enough room. Today, I think I realized another reason.

No, not this one, but………………

Maybe it’s just a little too much for people. ha! I remember before I was pregnant with twins and the whole family was on a plane coming back from Belize. This couple walked on with twin babies and Andrew and I looked at each other and said “Oh great, this couple with twins BETTER not be sitting in front of us.” Well, that they did and we were not happy about it. A couple of weeks later…… voila- we were pregnant with twins. God is funny, isn’t He?

If you get this blog with a subscription service, you may have missed the Anchorman clip from the “San Diego” post. Not that you have to see it, but if you love Will Ferrell (like I do) and you need a laugh, it’s a good one.

We had Strollerjam this morning. That meant rushing out the door with my go to breakfast of a Chef Jay’s Peanut Butter Protein Bar and an ice blended mocha with espresso cubes.

Then a fun car ride home (pictured above). And some smoothies.

SOTD (Smoothies of the day)-

kale, a frozen banana, Naked Juice Berry Blend, vanilla soy milk, 1/2 Trader Joe’s strawberry yogurt

And just that much better in new Safari Park sippy cups from Grandma and Grandpa (they went there yesterday while babysitting).

SOTD time makes everyone happy!

Well, maybe not “everyone”.

I guess I spoke too soon.

Before I go, yesterday was National Ice Cream Day. I DEFINITELY ate my fair share of ice cream over the weekend. I checked my email late and thought it was today (oops) so I celebrated with some protein “ice cream” for lunch.

1 cup FAGE 0%

  • 1/2 scoop Designer Whey Vanilla Almond protein powder
  • stevia extract
  • splash of almond extract
  • pinch of xanthan gum and guar gum

I stuck it in the freezer for about an hour and it had a really good texture. I served it up with a microwave protein muffin. (Deb makes a really great chocolate protein microwave muffin that I’m dying to try.)

Mmmmmmm…….. a little summer protein “sundae” (topped with almond butter mixed with a little soy milk- it makes a little amount go further). Smile

Gotta run. I just got a call and I’m going to sub an additional class tonight. That’s 4 in a row. Holy Moly. I will be soooooo ready for my Bachelorette “party”. I think some kale chips are in order.

A special announcement- Vitalicious is running a special on their Chocolate Super Sampler Pack. You can get $5 off if you use coupon code ECVQ7T3YY. Woo hoo!!!!! Chocolate variety? Yes please!

Thanks for those of you that posted comments on yesterday’s post. Your feedback is much appreciated as I’m still trying to find my way in this new blogging world. Oh and thank you also for those of you who have “liked” my Facebook page. If I can return the favor please let me know!

    And just because…………..

    Happy Monday!
