I’m hoping this post will be just that. I’m waiting for the water to boil for our Costco raviolis and I’m roasting some broccoli that God for bid better not burn. I tend to be a little chatty, so hopefully I can control myself tonight.
(Really yummy Costco ravioli. If you haven’t tried it, you should!)
This morning I had an unexpected decision to make. Saturday mornings I teach boot camp and then two classes at the YMCA. I’m in front of a lot of different people. Unfortunately, today ALL my “okay to wear in public” sports bras were in the dirty laundry (not the first time this has happened). So, I had to choose between wearing a dirty one out of the laundry, a padded one that was WAY too tight so from the back it looked, well, you know, or one that fit but did NOTHING for me in the front (and these days this mama needs a little something if you know what I mean).
I went with the one that fit, but pretty much made me look like I was in 4th grade from the front. I figured I had a lot more people staring at my back all day than my front. I did toy with the idea of adding a little something underneath, but I just couldn’t do it. Lesson learned- must do laundry Fridays. TMI?
Okay, so thanks to my friend Shannon who posted on my Facebook page that I have to try this……..
I searched for it at Costco the other day and I’m so glad I did! I’m in LOVE with a combination of this dip, Babybel light cheese and Flatout wraps.
I’ve been putting 2 tablespoons of the dip (50 calories) and two cheese balls in a Flatout.
Wrapping it all up and then putting in my coolio sandwich maker.
And………. TA DA!!!!!!
Oh my goodness. Delicious (and it’s NOT green). ha!
The perfect 250 calorie snack.
I’ve made it by adding some rotisserie chicken also and changed it up and made it for the boys on my favorite bread.
They loved it! A new family favorite!
Before I go, a few random mom tips:
I bought Pampers 12 hour protection to try to save a few dollars instead of Huggies Overnites the other day. Not a good idea. They’ve leaked the past two nights so I broke down today and had to buy our old standby Huggies (which work really well).
And…….. these Trader Joe’s blueberries are a great toddler snack.
But……… they are MESSY!!!!
Ha ha ha!
Hope you’re having a great weekend.
Just curious- what bra would you have chosen? (I must admit I HAVE pulled out a dirty one from the laundry before.) Oops.

I love the Ravioli’s and actually had them for lunch today (then purchased more when I went to Costco tonight). Tonight was the first time we had ventured to the new Costco. It seems to have a lot more parking (but was still pretty busy). We went to just “check it out” but ended up spending more than $200 (we joke it isn’t possible to get out of there under $100, although I have done it twice).
So Wiliam went through a stage where he was leaking through diapers for awhile at night. I bought a couple of packages of the over night (we are a Huggies family as well). After a couple of packages he seems to not have that problem any more (so I don’t have to buy the special diapers). Hope that ends up happening for you as well as buying more than one type of diapers is a pain in the rear.
I had a great time at boot camp today! Have a great week and I will see you in a couple of weeks 🙂
Oh my goodness, yes, the raviolis are AMAZING! I don’t think I’ve ever made it out of Cstoco for less than $200 (even if I only “need” spinach and bananas). Have a wonderful trip!!!!
I sadly wouldn’t have had a choice – I would HAVE to do the dirty sports bra – or someone would be taken out! This mama needs SUPPORT ( and I don’t mean that in a sexy way, but in a “this mama NEEDS SUPPORT”HA!!). But I think you made a good choice – always go with the one that fits, I think. You always motivate and I always have a blast Sat. mornings in step… Gonna miss it while I am in NY for the next two weeks☺.
I will miss you while you’re gone! Can I get a stand-in for your spot? Ha ha! Wish I had your “problem” of needing support. The grass is always greener…….. 🙂
I’d have gone with a dirty (as long as it was dry!) sports bra – but like Beth, I’m so used to strapping the girls down that I couldn’t go with a regular bra 🙂
Ha ha! Good point about it being dry- a dirty, wet one might be a little too much.
Those are my FAVORITE RAVIOLIS OF ALL TIME!!! It’s too bad there isn’t a costco near me nor do i have a costco card.
Oh man- you may need to move closer to a Costco. 🙂 ha!
We also love those ravs. In fact my 12 yr old son will eat the whole packet, and since he is the picky eater, I have a little dance of joy that he is getting GREEN in his body!! hahahahaha. Bra – def would have worn the dirty one. A little bit of baby powder or baking powder would have gotten rid of any odors
Leaky diapers – To help you with not having to change crib sheets in the middle of the night (which is a mommy’s worse nightmare) get some bed pads for continence (find in fem. isle at grocery store) Get the biggest ones. That might help. Oh, I have some (I’ve been trying to help my 7 yr old to not have to wear an underjam – she hates it, but is a bed wetter) I will bring you 2 to try so that you don’t waste the purchase if it doesn’t work. I have to say….having the daycare, I’ve experienced using a myriad of different diaper brands. Pampers are the best. I’ve also learnt that the weight chart on the boxes are bogus. You need to go according to body shape and size. Perhaps you are buying too big, or too small? And thus leaking? (I did tell you I ALWAYS have LOTS to say when it comes to kid advise!)
Bed pads- good idea. We rarely have leakage issues, but when I tried the Pampers we had issues 2 nights in a row. Grrr….. Good point about the wieght chart though. maybe I got the wrong size. I LOVE that you have ltos to say!!! Your my go-to gal! 🙂
I would have pulled a dirty one out of the laundry. Probably sniffed around until I decided which one was less stinky. 🙂 Tried your green muffin the other day. Very good taste. Think I might try to bake it to make it a little more crunchy on top. Have a great Monday!
I need to try baking them too. I may have enough bananas to make a batch this week. Let me know how it comes out! Have a great Monday too! 🙂
I would and have had to wear the dirty sports bra. Ick, I know, but a girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do!
Ha ha ha! 🙂 Perdita said baby powder does wonders!
Where is the jalapeno yogurt dip at Costco? I was there yesterday and could only find jalapeno cheddar. Maybe the yumminess hasn’t made it to Texas yet.
Amanda- It’s usually close to the hummus in the refridgerated section. I think this last time it took me awhile to find it and they only had 2 jars left. They better not be getting rid of it. Yikes. Let me know if you find it.
