Happy Friday! Who can say “no” to free coupons? And on a Friday? Ha! I don’t know about you, but I am a SUCKER for free things. I am totally one of those runners who loads up on the free goodies at the end of a race. One huge plus about having the boys and the stroller there (after sucking wind pushing them through the race) is the fact that I have more storage (less noticeable hoarding).
Today I got the opportunity to sample these new Activia Selects Products from Dannon.
After my run this morning it was time to dig in. I’m pretty picky about yogurts. I never really crave just a yogurt (unless it’s frozen yogurt) and to be honest I was a little afraid that I wouldn’t totally like these. Yogurt has to be the right consistency for me. I can’t stand runny yogurts and steer clear from ones that are made with aspartame.
First up was the French Yogurt.
Can I say amazing? It was really creamy. I think the 5 grams of fat help with the whole creamy texture. I don’t know exactly what “French” yogurt” means (I probably should), but it was impressive. It was much better than I expected and it had huge chunks of fruit on the bottom. YUM!
Next was the Greek one.
Higher in calories than other Greek yogurts, but it was worth it. Not as sweet as the French one (that was like a “dessert” yogurt), but thick and creamy just like the carton says.
YUM again! I like that the whole yogurt had the strawberry flavor mixed in.
After my attempt to consume my samples on the quiet patio by myself failed, I had to venture inside to see what all the commotion was about.
Oh, of course. There were some others that wanted to help.
They helped me with the French flavor. And they did a great job of finding all the fruit chunks at the bottom.
“Ugh, oh.”
Once they polished that one off I took the rest of the Greek one and added some oats, chia seeds, Kashi cereal and SunButter.
Holy moly AMAZING!

Oooo there are so many ways I love to eat yogurt! My fav is with PB2 or sugar free cheesecake jello pudding and peanut butter puffins mixed in, so good!
What’s sunflower butter like? I know I’m late in the game in this and everyone in the blogworld has tried it but me….so I’m just wondering, is it really that good?! 🙂
Oh, and I like you on FB, yay! 🙂
OMG- YES! It IS that good. Different taste than peanut butter for sure, but if you like nut butters, you will LOVE it! And thanks for the FB like! Happy Friday!
Yes I love love almond and peanut butters and I can tell we have similar taste buds ( 😉 ) so if you say sunflower is that good then I am definitely going to get some! And I just got my Activia coupons (thank you!) and I can’t wait to try the yogurts! Happy Friday! 🙂
I used to eat Activia every day…for years! memories!
And your comment to me about all that’s going on in San Diego right now…yes, it’s a huge weekend!! With so many bloggers in town!
I am a yogurt-for-breakfast girl. But, I am unsure what is better…greek or regular (i.e. yoplait.) I like them both but with a little research, and only a little, it seems that the pros VS cons are about the same. What do you think?
Brandy- I really don’t know enoguh or have done enough research. I feel like the regular yogurts have a lot of sugar in them and I like that Greek ones have a lot of protein. Do you like one more than the other?
I like to add something that gives it crunch…what the healthiest thing I can add? Suggestions?
Oh man, depends on what you like. You can never go wrong with a high protein cereal. Can’t wait to see you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!
