Wacky Thoughts, Winners, and a Weenis


Happy Friday! I can’t believe the week is over already. Yikes!

I got up early and went for a 7 mile run this morning. I always laugh at the thoughts that go through my head when I run. I get distracted very easily and running helps me get my thoughts straight (sometimes). Here’s a look in my head this morning:

I really should have gone to bed earlier. Ugh.

What would I do without my IPOD?

Thank goodness it’s still a little cool outside.

I have to do a lot of laundry today. I hate laundry.

What am I going to have for breakfast?

Oh man, I’m hungry already.

My legs are sore. What exercises did I do last night? I must do them again next week. I know the class will love it.

I freaking love Kenny Loggins (Footloose).

I want coffee NOW.

It would be cool if I could get free Starbucks for the rest of my life.

I wonder if anyone left a new comment on my blog.

What am I going to write about first today?

This hill is really NOT my friend.

Don’t even try to race me (to another runner).

Is that a dead……?

I’m almost done. I can’t wait for breakfast!

 Kitty is not really on my good side right now because we got this cute little mat from Mom for our anniversary 2 weeks ago


And he’s already done some damage to it.



Off to do some laundry, clean up some messes,

take care of a few things


(not looking forward to that one)

and make a dent in my “to do” list (which gets longer by the day).

    So, I’m writing again after 1.5 glasses of wine and this might be a little rambley. First, how on earth do you remember everything throughout your day so you can post it, like all your running thoughts? If I don’t write my thought down immediately it is gone forever. I’m actually probably going to forget the main reason I’m writing tonight by the time I’m done. Second, the fried rice went over well with my husband but I was less then thrilled, not that it was the recipe’s fault, I just think I didn’t do a great job of making it. I thought the egg would have turned out differently but I might have added too much soy sauce. Two recipes that were well received were the broccoli slaw mac n cheese and the pumpkin muffin stuft fro yo chocolate sauce dessert thingy. Lastly, and most importantly, I’m hopefully going to get my own performance athletic conditioning class (PAC) in september and I’m trying to figure out how to structure it. When you teach a boot camp class, do you test out the same work out you teach before you teach it so you know it’s challenging enough/fits the time limit or do you make it up and cross your fingers it works? One more lastly, I love the Chocolate Covered Katie blog!!! It made me want to make every recipe she had. THanks!

      He he! I’m writing you back after 1 1/2 glasses of wine too! 🙂 So much more fun that way. 🙂 I don’t always remember my thoughts. I kind of cheated because whe nI got home from my run I jotted down a few notes. Sorry you didn’t like the fried rice. I always have to spice mine up a bit. Coolio that you’re getting your own class! Yay! I have a couple different formats I use depending on the class. Boot camp is more flexible because we’re outside and there’s no music, etc. I do a high impact 40 mintues workout inside that is pretty intense. I have a specific format I use that fits really well into a 40 mintues class with three different cardio circuits. Let’s email about it and I can tell you what I do! I’m so excited for you! How long is your class?
