The word “awesome” keeps repeating in my head with things that happened today so I need to share them really quickly.
First off, my friend Jenna taking a quick picture during Strollerwise this morning (and all the kiddos trying to use the bands with their mommies)
Joaquin escaping at our last workout stop to find his favorite yellow bus
Well, awesome for him I guess, not for me who had to chase him.
Judah falling asleep pretty much the second after he finished his Clif Kid Z bar
Awesome for his tummy, not awesome for his face.
This afternoon I had a couple of hours BY MYSELF at home. It was craziness. I still have sooo much I need to do, but I got some serious “cleaning cardio” on and it was fabulous. I did, however, find these while putting some laundry away.
I can’t believe Andrew was still wearing those. I replaced them with these new ones I got from Old Navy last week.
He he! I know- AWESOME.
A couple packages I received in the mail
Yeah, double awesome.
The huge cookie I made from one of those packs of Coach’s Oats
you know it.
I’ll share the recipe tomorrow. “Flat Kitty” helped, so you know what that means.
Now I know this doesn’t LOOK awesome.
It actually looks more like a ………
Oh well, it was delicious. (And I obviously was a little pressed for time and didn’t focus my camera.)
I used a new pack of Hershey’s Special Dark Cocoa Powder (which came just in time- I’d been out for about 5 days and was starting to lose it) to make up this amazingly rich stuff.
Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cottage Cheese
1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
splash of vanilla
sweetener of choice (I used a few liquid vanilla stevia drops and a packet of Splenda)
1 tablespoon peanut butter (I used Naturally More)
Mix together cottage cheese, cocoa powder and sweetener.
(My pictures needed some serious help today.)
Mix in the peanut butter.
You can eat this as is or roll it up in a Flatout.
It looks a little bit better like this doesn’t it.
It also goes great with apple slices or cinnamon crisps.
Oh, and don’t forget about this part.
This cottage cheese is right up there with PB2 Cottage Cheese Dip.
Oh, and while we’re talking cottage cheese, it’s a good time to feature the SOTW.
Smoothie of the Week
Cherry Cheesecake Smoothie with Carrots
Same recipe as the original Cherry Cheesecake Smoothie except substitute in a handful of fresh baby carrots for the spinach.
FYI- these smoothies may cause extreme laughter and/or goofiness if consumed in a laundry basket.
And finally, my marinara fix tonight had to come in the form of zucchini ribbons from our overabundance of zucchinis.
I prepared it just like broccoli slaw spaghetti. Mmmmmm….
I of course had some cheese sandwiches on the side, but God knows you’ve seen enough of those.
Okay, off to bed. I need to be on the treadmill by 6 am tomorrow and then I get to spend the rest of the day with the boys (and “Flat Kitty”).
I wrote a post earlier today. Check it out, you don’t want to miss the Protein Oat Pancake.
See you tomorrow for “Flat Kitty Friday” and a single serving STUFT mama cookie recipe.
