Date Night Dinner From the Costco Freezer

Well, that Chocolate Fudge Pie pudding I made for the boys may not have been a great idea.

Hey Joaquin’s lip looked a little like my red upper lip only his was brown. Smile

I don’t know why I do that to myself when I’m tired. It took a long time to clean up, but that fudge is so delicious it was worth it to share the love.

And then I could really appreciate our date night dinner and wine afterwards.

Dinner last night-

IMG_1310IMG_1316

Costco raviolis with Classico tomato and basil sauce and some roasted squash.

IMG_4809

That was before I poured some red pepper on there.

IMG_4811

Ha ha ha! Nothing beats Ménage a Trois from Costco for $6.99 a bottle. Mmmm…..

IMG_0086IMG_0087

Our dessert was even from Costco. Have you tried these?

IMG_4812

They just may be one of my new favorites.

This morning I was back on the treadmill before STUFT Boot Camp. Not for a run though. Smile

IMG_4813

Yes, that’s some ointment on my upper lip. Let’s not talk about it. Hey, I look like Spiderwoman with my leg like that. Ha ha ha!

I was blending up a Lazy Mama Mocha Spinach Smoothie. Mmmmmmm…

IMG_4816

Right now I just polished off some Cold Cooked Cocoa Coach’s Oats. Whoa, say that 5 times really fast. Smile

Cold Cooked Cocoa Oats

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup nondairy milk (I used vanilla soy milk)

1/4 cup oats (I used Coach’s)

1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt

2 tablespoons cocoa (I used my favorite cocoa powder)

sweetener of choice (I used 2 Splenda packets)

cinnamon to taste

splash of vanilla

Directions- Cook the oats in the microwave or on the stove top with the water and soy milk following directions on package.

Stir in yogurt and all other ingredients. Cover and refrigerate.

I was clipping some coupons in between oat bites.

Now I’m ready for a Target trip later today with the boys.

The coupons I’m most excite to use?

IMG_4823

Oh yes, Flatout and Vitatops. Yay!

Speaking of Flatout, here are a few things (other than my usual Gotta Love Costco and More Costco Love purchases) I bought from Costco last week that I thought worthy of sharing.

IMG_4562

These are new. They used to carry the Multi-grain wraps (which I like better). Hopefully they’ll switch back, but I love them anyway. Smile

IMG_4557

Andrew and the boys loved these.  They were very easy to make on the stove.

IMG_4561

I love Kirkland organic salsa and now they sell it in these two smaller containers rather than the huge one. Yay! It tastes like fresh made salsa.

IMG_4559

I just had some if this new Kirkland Greek Yogurt in my cold oats. It was good and cheaper than the FAGE tub they sell. Definitely worth a try.

IMG_4560

Love this stuff. Check out my afternoon of freezing to see what I do with it. Smile

New things I don’t usually buy, but caught my eye.

Have you tried any of these?

Okay, I’m calling it a day. I hope you’re having a great weekend so far. I’m hoping to add a video of a “Move of the Week” on my workout page later.

In case you missed it. Flat Kitty had a VERY busy day yesterday. Smile See what kind of trouble he caused here

What’s your favorite thing from Costco?

I like the dumplings. I stir fry them in some olive oil for a long time so they are crispy.
