Oops. So much for Flat Kitty Friday this week. I had every intention of posting yesterday afternoon, but it just didn’t happen (either did the laundry getting done). Then I was going to write a post last night, but I got carried away eating some seriously spicy food.
Flatout chicken burritos (Costco shredded chicken mixed with a little seasoning wrapped in a Flatout). Topped with a habanero AND a jalapeño? Well okay. It was a little brutal, but I suffered through it with the help of a Mike’s Light Hard Lemonade. Ha! I really want to enter a spicy contest or something. How do I find out about those?
I DID find his beat-up, muddy, sweat-banded counterpart on the kitchen counter, so I made do.
And you know what? He was one happy camper because the boys and I had just gotten home from one if his favorite stores.
Yep, Trader Joe’s, (I forgot my reusable bags again. Ugh.)
We’re not boycotting anymore because they have my favorite broccoli slaw back in stock. Woo hoo!
Here’s some favorites we (Flat Kitty and I) were pretty excited about.
$.99 for this whole carton of jalapeños = one happy mama.
The cheapest spaghetti squash I’ve found yet? Even a happier mama.
Oh, and a happy Flat Kitty.
They had a new Jebediah Meritage red wine for $6.99 that I couldn’t pass up.
Trader Joe’s Soy Creamy chocolate sandwiches. Love these and they’re only 90 calories each!
These Bibimbap Bowls are STUFT daddy approved. I haven’t tried them myself, but he likes them for a quick lunch.
My favorite marinara sauce. And of course I got a little something something to go with it.
Hmm…. any guesses?
He he! Life is GOOD!
And finally we stocked up on one of our fall favorites.
We put this Trader Joe’s Organic Pumpkin to good use right away and made some Mighty Chocolate Microwave Muffins.
Yeah, my muffin yesterday may have gotten a little out of control. That Mighty Chocolate Microwave muffin is topped with some PB2 (mixed with soy milk) and some Kirkland nonfat Greek yogurt mixed with a sugar free hot cocoa packet (a recipe from Tracey).
It was FABULOUS!
Flat Kitty’s adventures weren’t over.
The boys needed a piece of him.
Oops, wait. That’s real Kitty.
There we go. The two of them together.
Silly Flat Kitty was trying to hide from the “fun”.
Too bad there’s no hiding around here.
Even when you’re behind the chair. They will find you!
Ha ha ha!
I had a really exciting day today. I won a special award and promise to tell you more about it tomorrow, but for now, I’m off to feed the boys dinner and put them to bed. Then Andrew and I are celebrating with some Filippi’s pizza, that new bottle of Trader Joe’s wine and the Modern Family crew.
Have a wonderful night!
