Hanging Around the House and Working it Out

Hanging Around the House and Working it Out

Happy Wednesday! We had all sorts of fun at home today.
It all started with this picture my friend Cindy posted on my Facebook page.
Ha ha ha! How cool is that? Just me and my my Vita.
Then the boys and I found the perfect spot for our other new close family friend.
He fits right in doesn’t he? I figured the refrigerator door was the perfect spot. I can make sure he approves of all of our food choices. Hmm…. I wonder if he’d like my green muffins.
Speaking of green, we had a little fun at breakfast with our Gourmet Green Pancakes. I made them on my Cuisinart Griddler which worked so much better than my other stovetop griddle.
The pancakes came out pretty much perfect. This thing rocks.
And, well, since we can’t stop smiling around here we had to doctor them up a bit.
(I hope Bob didn’t see.) Smile
After breakfast we worked up an appetite with some laundry.
(Oops- don’t mind the undergarments.)
Then we tried to see if Kitty wanted to play with us.
He didn’t.
We don’t give up easily though.
We tried some tickling
(Hey, Kitty could use a pair of my new Spanx.)
a little face massage
and even some hugs.
He finally gave in,
but it was very short-lived.
(Disclaimer- No one was hurt during the snapping of this photo.)
I quickly distracted the boys and led them to their “horse” (aka- Kitty’s cat tree) for a quick ride.
Lunch was some Morningstar Farms veggie burgers. I made mine into some lettuce wraps with jalapeño yogurt dip and some fresh peppers.
while Judah could barely keep awake to eat.
Judah sleep eating.
After lunch (and a second wind), it was time to make our Move of the Week video.
Since I’m still a little soar from the Club Bob shoot, I decided we had to do my favorite move from the workout. We used kettlebells at the workout, but my kettlebell at home is a little too heavy so we made do with a little something else (just to show you you don’t need a kettlebell to do this exercise).
Video notes:
I say we’re doing kettlebell thrusts in the video. These aren’t thrusts, they’re squats with a press. Just ignore me.
Joaquin has pretty good form in the two that he actually does.
Don’t worry- I’m sure that folding chair Judah was standing on is very sturdy. Smile
Kettlebell squats with a press.
If you want the real deal for “Workout Wednesday” check out these awesome challenge videos on Bob’s website.

My Trainer Bob Cardio Challenges

They are NO joke. I’ve used a couple of them before in my STUFT boot camp classes. I can’t wait to use the other ones.
Just in case you want a closer look at those sturdy folding chairs……
Aren’t they cool?
He he!
Okay, the boys are up. It’s time to hang out for a bit before I’m off to teach spin tonight.
PS- I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this picture I sent in to Vitalicious this afternoon wins for “Fan of the Month” so I can get some free Vitatops.
(That jar was my afternoon snack of peanut butter overnight oats with a crumbled chocolate Vitamuffin on top.)
This mama needs to save up some gas money for the next Club Bob shoot! Smile
I am such a dork.
Have a wonderful night! What’s for dinner?
I think I might cook up a little butternut squash. Smile

I think a lot of us are dorks when it comes to Bob 🙂
I need to start buying smaller jars of nut butter because I need to try some over night oats in a jar soon! The boys, as usual, are adorable 🙂 my son would have so much fun chasing kitty around with them!

That picture of the boys on the “horse” made me laugh out loud! Love how kids never are as entertained by their real toys as they are by their repurposed toys!! And that video of Judah getting sleepy in his highchair made me super nostalgic for the little boy I babysit for… he used to fall asleep in his high chair every day I babysat when he was little. Now he’s 6 1/2 so not so much of that happens anymore 🙁 Have a good weekend!
