So, I think you may have figured out by now with all my hinting that I won a little something something the other day.
Yesterdays post was all about me and the coolest club ever,
today it’s all about a new addition to our house.
That email I referred to the other day was from Mama Pea herself.
Oh yes, I WON the Vitamix.
I WON the Vitamix!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Sorry, I just had to say it again.)
Dreams DO come true. My “dream machine” has arrived!
It has been a whirlwind couple days around here so I hadn’t gotten the chance to properly introduce it to the family. I’ve just been admiring it in its box.
And getting it acquainted with my new best friend and my boyfriend Bob.
Today though, it was time.
After a fun day of Strollerwise and chasing Joaquin all over creation hanging at the park with good friend
and watching our kids (stud puffins) all play together
we decided to welcome our new addition to the STUFT family.
While I did a couple bicep curls got it out
the boys found a good use for the packaging.
Joaquin discovered it even came with a “flashlight”.
Ha ha!
After I was done admiring it (and pretending to be a Price is Right gal)
and giving it a little too much PDA (I hope my boyfriend isn’t jealous)
it was time to put it into action.
I made the boys a Strawberry Almond Flax Smoothie.
Then I decided the only way to truly initiate my new Vita was to make one of Mama Pea’s Pumpkin Pie Smoothies.
I even tried to be cool and take some actions shots like she does.
Well, looks like I’ve got something to work on.
My smoothie got a little thick so I opted for a bowl.
And since it was truly a celebration I whipped out a little sample I’d been saving for a special occasion.
I received this sample size of Nuts About Granola Plain Jane Peanut Butter Granola to review last week. I thought it would be the perfect topping for my smoothie.
It was. It was delicious. Peanut buttery, crunchy, just the right amount of sweetness and a little chewy. Mmm….
I tried to use only half the bag, but…..
it was just too good (and the peanut butter smell was too hard to resist).
Oh well. It’s a good thing they didn’t send me a bigger size. Ha!
I just noticed on their website that they have a new Carrot Cake flavor available. I bet that one is really good!
Anyhoo…….
Since tonight was Tuesday and my boyfriend and I have weekly Biggest Loser date nights, I met him on the treadmill for 6.5 miles first. Then my new Vita and I kicked back on the couch to watch the rest of the show.
(I was trying to show Vita how this mama “parties” (pajamas, cell phone in the shirt, wet hair, super old glasses, the list goes on…..).
Dinner was broccoli slaw spaghetti and a cheese sandwich (on Trader Joe’s Whole Wheat Tuscan Pane Bread).
Followed with a Skinny Cow cone.
The new Vita fits right in with the family. We welcome it with open arms (and mouths).
I have a feeling our lives will never be the same. I also have a feeling I’m not going to let anyone else touch it. Is that wrong?
And while STUFT daddy may have not liked the long family drive the other night to go pick this baby up (or my continuous singing that I won a Vitamix), the things I’m going to make in this little beauty will make him forget all about that. Don’t you think?
Do you have a Vitamix? What should I make next?
Have a good one friends.
