Random Thoughts

Hello! Before I get to my random thoughts, I’m a part of this really cool thing called Tuesday Trainer over at Lindsay’s List today. I submitted our Push up with a T Stand video that the boys and  I (and Kitty) made. He he!
Okay, onto the random thoughts (bare with me):

The boys aren’t quite ready to help me decorate.

But man, these sock monkeys rock (when properly placed on a high shelf).

IMG_6168
So does this sign that pretty much sums up my life kitchen.

IMG_6171
All of my soaps, lotions and wallflowers change with the seasons. I have a little bit of a problem.

IMG_6146
My new cold cup makes me very happy.

IMG_6164
And so does this iced tea concoction.

IMG_6166
(Good Earth caffeine free original tea with a scoop of orange Ultima.)

Subbing in this roasted red pepper and tomato soup for marinara sauce in broccoli slaw spaghetti was a great idea (and is a little addicting).

IMG_6060IMG_6059
I have been eating WAY too many peppers. I think I’m starting to smell like them. Is that possible?
Hmmm….I don’t think that’s a “fall” scent.

IMG_6058
Fat free cheese does NOT do well in my cool sandwich maker. I will not be trying that again.

IMG_6097
I am loving Trader Joe’s Organic Tempeh lately thanks to Mama Pea (it also goes well with broccoli slaw spaghetti). This may be the start of something big.

IMG_6149
This Sweet Red wine from Trader Joe’s goes really well with Chinese food (and it’s cheap).

IMG_6155
My Vita can make some mean green “ice cream”.
(spinach, a frozen banana and a FAGE 0% blueberry cup)

IMG_6172IMG_6175
The perfect toddler snack.
The boys love eating it with a “poon” (or fingers).

IMG_6177IMG_6179
Maybe a little too much.

IMG_6186IMG_6185
I really should dress them in green shirts more often just to play it safe.

My vita can also make some cold overnight oats into a delicious smoothie (which can be made that much better added to an almost empty almond butter jar).

IMG_6202
My only purchase last weekend has been finding it’s way onto a lot of my food.

IMG_5847
Especially open-faced egg sandwiches

IMG_6181 1
and Flatout wraps (egg whites, light jarlsburg, jalapeño yogurt dip).

IMG_6210
And, well, the boys think eggs only come from a carton (not a chicken or the actual egg itself).

IMG_6167
I should probably work on that.

On a more serious note:
It’s not very easy to write after teaching 4 hours of classes at the Y. I’m pooped and can barely keep my eyes open so I apologize for the writing quality.

And to get a little more personal…

Feeling like I’ve disappointed someone or am doing something that doesn’t make my loved ones proud is not an easy pill to swallow.
I’m trying to remind myself that it’s not how many times you get knocked down, it’s how many times you get back up, right?

I can’t help that I “Dream Big”.

I hope you do to.

Thanks for being with me for the ride. It means the world to me.
A special thanks to my sister-in-law Annette for sharing this song a couple of weeks ago. I love it (and it totally hit home tonight).
As did my chocolate mint Vitatop with a mint Skinny Cow sandwich on top. Smile He he!

If I had even a 1/4 of your spicy tooth my husband would be a happy man. He loves the heat and I find regular old black pepper to be too spicy sometimes :)

Great song – thanks for sharing!

I see you’re a Costco shopper like myself. I love their greek yogurt and the liquid eggs as well. I love seeing bloggers list their newest favorites, it always gives me ideas. I love your ice cream for the boys. It’s so important to feed them healthy from the get go or they never develop a taste for truly healthy foods. I think you’re doing a wonderful job with them. And seeing their messy faces, oh my gosh memories.

Oh Marie- I really should buy stock in Costco. :) Thanks for the encouragement about feeding them healthy food. It’s getting a little harder as they get pickier. :) At least they still cheer for spinach!
