Workout Wednesday- Two Quick Moves of the Week


Hello! Happy Wednesday!

I traded in my planned blog post last night for some fun family time and to go to bed early. I even ditched out on my weekly Biggest Loser date with “my boyfriend” and have no idea who got kicked off Dancing With the Stars.

Right now I’m still in my pajama pants and Spanx tank top (Yes, I slept in it. Yes, again.) and I’m planning on making some Green Goblin Muffins for breakfast for us.

Here are a couple Moves of the Week.

The first is a side burpie. I saw this from online from Bob Harper (who else, right?). I’ve used it a couple of times in STUFT Boot Camp and my Y40X classes at the Y. Every loves/hates it! ha ha! It’s a good one!

The boys are in the stroller because my earlier attempts with them on the floor almost cost me my camera.

I did let Joaquin “O-UT” after I was done. Smile

I should have worn my new lululemon uniform. Dang it. Next time.



This next video was for Tuesday Trainer over at Lindsay’s List. I just have to say that she is the coolest person ever and I lover her workouts she puts together for everyone on Tuesdays. She still included this video even though it’s not very relaxing with Joaquin screaming in the background. She is too nice.


This move is based on the boat pose in yoga. I do it A LOT in my classes, but call it a V-sit. It’s a great one to strengthen the entire core area instead of doing just crunches that only focus in the to layer of abdominal muscles.

Hmm… the boys are saying “Uh, Oh” in their bedroom right now. That is NEVER good. Who knows what I find when I go in there in the morning.

    Those videos remind me of when my kids were little. I did many a sit up with a baby crawling all over me. It was good though because it just added resistance.

      Added resistence- way to look at the positive. I usually get too annoyed a couple minutes in and can’t handle it. ha! When I’m in plank and they get on my back….. that’s not fun.

    Hello! I just found your blog a few days ago and I LOVE IT! You are one awesome person, and your boys are adorable! I have a 2 year old and a 10 year old and I really appreciate that you share what you eat AND what you feed your kids and share with your husband! I’ve been hitting the gym and trying to eat healthy for about 9 months now and it has been challenging when it comes to feeding the family, so I love reading how you do it! I am dying to try some PB2….I think I will run to a whole foods tonight to see if they carry it (because I’ve never seen it at my King Soopers!).

      Christa- WELCOME! Thanks so much for the nice compliment. Um, yes, soo challenging when it comes to finding time to workout and take care of the family. I struggle balancing it all every day. You have to try PB2!!!!! I don’t know if they have it at Whole Foods. I order it online. If you live close to me I can hook you up! 🙂 He he! Good luck with the gym outings. Keep it up!!!!!!! 🙂

    I have a love/hate relationship with burpees. Love what they do for my body, but hate doing them! Boat pose is one of my yoga faves! Your little sweet peas in the background make a great audience! 🙂

    I hope Bob forgave you for standing him up last night 😉 I like the side burpee a lot!! When I need a little something to change up my workout, I will be keeping that in mind!

    Ha haha haa Not sure what I enjoyed the most — the fact that you have twins (I just happen to LOVE twins. Oh wonder why?!), the “uh oh” followed by the kicking leg, or that you might do the side burpees in a future video at warp speed. Way to stay calm under pressure!

      PS- I totally thought of you tonight. Did you watch the Biggest Loser this week? They had them on the ground doing the side leg lift things. I was totally laughing!
