Amazing “Peas”- Raffling for a Cause

Hello! Happy Friday!

I have couple of quick things before I get to the important raffle for today.

I started my day yesterday by showing up to Strollerwise class wearing a cape. Yes, that’s right, a cape. Judah’s Superman cape. I can’t even explain. At least it was over my new workout “uniform” and at least my new “uniform” had the free inserts in the top this time. Smile

Since I didn’t have time for coffee or a substantial breakfast beforehand, after class it was only appropriate that I have a Mighty Green Microwave Muffin topped with PB2 and a strong iced mocha. The boys had one too (the green muffin, not the mocha).

Ha ha ha! Jealous? You WISH you could have breakfast with Kitty.

I thought my day might get a little better, but as some of you already saw this on my Facebook page, I think the terrible twos are starting a bit early around here.

That picture was just the beginning of a very LONG day.

Tonight after my Y classes I made my new broccoli slaw concoction but added in some Trader Joe’s Organic Tempeh.

I have ONE person to thank for introducing me to tempeh (and the amazing low price at Trader Joe’s).

That same person is making this post and this raffle possible.

I’ve been meaning to write this ever since I got a very special email last weekend.

My email inbox has been very good to me this month. Topping the list was an email from my new best friend concerning my vita. That one was followed closely by an email letting my know I was “in the club”. I even got an email last week that I was chosen as the Vitalicious fan of the month.

It’s been a very good month.

Well, this email I got last weekend was even better. It was better because it wasn’t about me. It was about helping out our dear friend.

Amelia’s Hope for Hearing

Our race for Amelia is about two weeks away. I’m so grateful for those of you who have donated to our race. I can’t thank you enough.

I’m so overwhelmed and amazed at how many generous people there are who are willing to help others in need.

We’re still taking donations and we promise to run our hearts out. (Actually, I’ll be running. The boys will be kicking back in the BOB stroller). You can find all the details about our race on my Running for Amelia page.

Back to that special email.

That email was from my new best friend. I’m actually quite sure she has a lot of best friends out there and people who just “think” they’re her best friend (like me) because they get the pleasure of reading her Peas and Thank You blog every day and feel like they’re part of the family.

Or because they got to meet her in person.

Or because they have a signed copy of her book that looks a little like this.

I can’t say enough good GREAT things about Mama Pea.

And the list just keeps getting longer because……

She has generously offered a signed book and a batch of her famous Mama Pea’s Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Balls to raffle off with all proceeds going directly to Amelia’s benefit fund.

How cool is that?

Here is all the information on how to enter the raffle and how you can help an amazing young girl get the gift of hearing.

Each raffle entry will cost $2. You can purchase as many entries as you’d like.

You may enter the raffle by sending cash or check to STUFT Mama or by donating directly to Amelia’s Benefit Account through PayPal. If you make a donation through PayPal be sure to email me at stuftmama@stuftfitness.com with your donation amount so I can include you in the raffle.

Checks can be made out to:

Amelia Heston Benefit Account

And sent to:

STUFT Mama

1835A S. Centre City Pkwy. #198

Escondido, CA 92025

Please be sure to include a note that the money is for the Peas and Thank You raffle.

You can enter the raffle and sponsor our race for Amelia at the same time, just be sure to specify how many raffle entries you’d like from your total donation amount.

I will be choosing one lucky winner November 11th. That seems fitting doesn’t it? 11/11?

Perfect!

Easy “peasy”.

And, well, since it’s Friday and all, someone wanted to say a little something in honor of Mama Pea, her New York Times Best Selling book and her dough balls.

Ha ha ha!
