Ten Wonders

Ten Wonders

Good morning!

I opted to spend some time with “my boyfriend” last night and finished watching the Biggest Loser instead of getting on the computer and it was MARVELOUS!

I really wonder why I don’t do that more often. I feel so much better in the morning.

On to some other random “wonders”……

I wonder if I’ll ever run out of festive soaps? Ha ha ha!

Or Vitatops?

And I wonder if Kitty really thinks he’s going to get one.

I don’t think so buddy.

I did share some with the boys yesterday morning though. (I guess I have enough.)

I don’t know why they insist on eating everything with a “poon” (kid spork).

They each ate at a cranbran one topped with a little of SunButter wonder.

Love this stuff and love that they’re giving you coupons for our race for Amelia.

I wonder if I’m ever going to get sick of my new green tea/espresso latte.Probably not. Yesterday I added a little of this sugar free vanilla syrup to it.

It just keeps getting better and better. Here’s the green tea powder I use to make it.

I get it on Amazon.

Oops. And I wonder why I never gave you this magnificent smoothie recipe that uses the same green tea powder.

Berry Kale Green Tea Smoothie

1-2 cups kale

1 cup frozen berries (I used half strawberries and half blueberries)

1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt

1- 1 1/2 cup milk of choice (I used light vanilla soy milk)

1 scoop matcha green tea powder

sweetener of choice (I used one Splenda packet)

This was my “go to” drink last when I wasn’t feeling well.

It was even better with that festive straw (which is really hard to clean by the way).

Speaking of kale, I wonder why I don’t add wasabi to my kale chips more often. The other day I seasoned them with these goodies.

Delicious. They went perfectly well with my Morningstar Farms veggie burger on a sandwich thin with a little jalapeño yogurt dip and some romaine.

I wonder if there’s anything that jalapeño yogurt dip wouldn’t be good on. I really doubt it.

It even makes a quick Flatout Mexican pizza (that I made the other week and forgot to share).

On the Flatout pizza- jalapeño yogurt dip, chicken breast and taco sauce.

Baked at 400 for about 10 minutes or so.

Then topped with romaine, salsa, a little Scotty B’s and some chili peppers.

Mmm…. spicy!

Angry smile

I wonder just how long the hose can provide entertainment sometimes.

Or what exactly Joaquin thinks he’s doing with the hose handle

or what Judah’s doing for that matter.

Chipping wood?

I really wonder why I thought it would be a brilliant idea to create a WARM kale smoothie/latte.

It was HORRIBLE and messy.

Don’t try this at home.

I tried to choke it down since I went through all the effort to make it, but I couldn’t.

Bad idea.

I made a dark chocolate PB2 latte instead.

The boys and I tried out Jillian Michaels 6 Week Six-Pack DVD last night.

I wonder if you really see results if you do it for six-weeks.

I thought it was a pretty good core workout. We just did level 1 because we just did a little quickie backyard calorie blast workout and I still had to get on the treadmill. I liked that fact that it was 30 minutes and she tied in some cardio with a lot of different core moves.

I really think my BF Bob Harper needs to come out with a DVD like this. I should have a talk with him.

And finally…… I really wonder why Andrew wasn’t more excited about this new shirt I got him from Target.

Isn’t it cool?

He better wear it.

It was a pretty GU’d DVD. Quick and not too intense. 🙂 I wish BOB had one though. I’m biased. 🙂 Things have been hectic here too. No worries about GU! Just so excited that I won! 🙂

I’m going to add kale to my smoothies next week. I almost bought it last weekend but was afraid it would be gross. I’ll try it with your recipe! Thanks for your wonder-ful post. 🙂

Erin- Make sure to blend it really well! Kale is harder to disguise. 🙂 Let me know what you think. I may have ruined it a little yesterday with my hot experiment. Ugh. I can’t really think about kale right now. Hope you’re doing well! HOw’s the couch to 5k?????

Good to know! I’m a little bummed because my Magic Bullet already seems to be leaving chunks of spinach. I’ve only had it for three months and I don’t think I use it as much as you use yours. I may keep it at work and get a Ninja for home. Chunks are not good… and I can’t believe you tried to warm it up. That doesn’t sound good either. Live and learn! 🙂

C25K is going well. I stalled a little so I’m only on week 6 but I ran my first 5K on Sunday. It was hard but I’m really glad that I did it. I’m going to finish C25K and then run another one on Dec. 30.

Oh, and I tried Mama Peas’ frozen pumpkin cubes in my protein shake. SO good! Thank you both for that tip.

When you were talking about the warm kale latte I thought ‘gross’. But kudos to you for venturing outside of the box, it’s the only way to get winners too huh?

Love your 10 wonders, especially all the delicious recipes! I’m addicted to Vita Muffins (thanks to you, of corse) and I (sometimes) share with Isabella (she likes the cranbran too). The video looks awesome, maybe Ill get it for a quick morning workout.
Anyway, I feel a little sad I won’t be running with you Sunday (I will be thinking of you and the boys, you are one strong mama)! Have fun and see you in 2 Mondays at Strollerjam! 🙂

My husband wants to know what kind of cat Flat Kitty is and where he can get one 🙂
I love Bob’s DVDs! I have a couple and they always kick my butt. I literally yell at him on the screen.

  1. […] is not a good idea to travel with berry kale smoothie for the boys in the car (I had a berry kale green tea smoothie for myself) unless you want purple/green dots on your ceiling and Joaquin to keep repeating […]
