Get a Grip

Yes, seriously, I need to get a grip. Maybe I need this book.

It just took me about five minutes to figure out what color straw I wanted in my water. Problems. I went with red for Christmas in case you’re wondering.

The red straw also went well with my broccoli slaw concoction and cheese sandwiches for dinner.

That Organic Tomato and Red Pepper Soup from Trader Joe’s is good stuff. If you haven’t tried it yet, you really should.

I also just submitted a video of Joaquin attempting to jump rope for Tuesday Trainer because I just can’t get it together tonight to tape a move myself.

I won’t be offended Lindsay if it didn’t make the cut.

Judah will be though if I talk about Joaquin’s jump rope skills and don’t show you his video this morning.

Are you wondering about Joaquin’s pants?

We had an emergency wardrobe change after Strollerjam this morning. Thank goodness my friend Julie carries extra clothes in her stroller.

Oh yes.

Someone had another case of the Mondays.

We didn’t let our little “poopy accident” get in our way though. You better believe we still ran all our errands after class. We had some balls that needed to get in the mail.

I did manage to find time to take a picture of my lunch a little bit later. Unfortunately, it didn’t give me much time to eat it afterwards. I was doing some major shoveling.

Spinach leaves topped with roasted butternut squash cubes, chicken breast and crumbled goat cheese (I’m a newbie to the whole goat cheese thing).

Then topped with some of Scotty B’s Berries and Heat hot sauce instead of dressing.

I used this chicken I found at Costco.

I just threw a couple skewers on the pan with the squash, sprayed it all with nonstick spray, sprinkled it with a little garlic powder and sea salt and roasted it all up.

Mmm… yum. I plan on eating this for lunch for the next few days.

I also inhaled a chocolate mint Vitatop on the way to the gym after my yummy lunch. He he!

Well, Kitty and I have to call it a night.

We’re tired of looking at the only Christmas decoration we have up yet.

Our Costco tree complete with lights and pine cones was the best purchase. (Judah thinks the pine cones are “poo poo”. Isn’t that just lovely. I guess it kind of goes with our day.)

I better get a freaking grip and get the rest of our decorations out before the darn holidays are over. Not to mention all my smelly soaps, wall flowers, winter lotions, etc. too. Yikes!

I do have one little favor to ask before I go. I hate asking for things, especially this time of year because I feel like I should be giving, not asking, but I’m trying to be the next LOVE Grown Foods blogger.

They’re only picking a few lucky people with the most votes. If you’re so inclined, will you please “like” the picture of the boys and I here?

The Next LOVE Grown Foods Blogger

We’re on the bottom right hand side. My face is cut off. Go figure. Everyone else has nice head shots. Ha ha ha!

Thanks so much!

I’m off to bed.

Hopefully a good night’s sleep will help me get a grip on tomorrow.

(Please answer only after you “like” my picture. Just kidding.)

Do you eat goat cheese?

If so, what’s your favorite way to eat it?

I made the cut and am allowed to comment now. I’m glad you don’t feel bad about bringing your boy out in public in green striped leggings. That is why i love you.

Poop definitely happens and green pants save the day! I’m pretty sure that’s how I look jumping rope. I’m off to vote for you! Good luck!

That’s my favorite TJ’s soup…. which is what I think you commented when I made my pasta concoction with it. 🙂

I “liked” you. Your arms look incredible in that pic, btw. Good luck!!!

I’ve always been challenged by rope jumping – I am going to try that technique… He’s got it!! Really, you have the cutest boys (I know I’ve said that before, but it is so true!!) And the green pants look so good on Joaquin, I doubt I could pull that look off (maybe if I jumped rope more often, hmm). I totally remember the days of multiple clothing changes due to “poo explosions” (my kids not me;>). Your tree looks great! That is why I couldn’t do your 4:15 class – my daughter really wanted to get our tree up – so pretty.

Beth- I am LOVING this comment. Pretty much the funniest one I’ve gotten. I couldn’t pull the green pants look off either. You’d think I would learn to bring extra clothes around with me. Ha!

So excited that you are in the running for one of the Love Grown Blogger spots! I “liked” your pic last night!

As for your day of eats, delicious per usual. I’m a huge fan of TJ’s soups. The boyfriend and I have been on a creamy tomato soup and grilled cheese kick…You’d think we were five-year-olds…

Tomato soup and grilled cheese is the BEST this time of year. I’m with you ( I just have to add broccoli slaw to my soup). 🙂 Thanks for the “like” Molly. 🙂 Let’s have dinner together! 🙂

You know I voted for you, fellow running mate! 😉 I would totally be a fan of TJ’s soup if we had a freakin’ TJ’s here! Grrrrr 🙂 As far as goat cheese (just typed chest instead of cheese… wtf?), YES AND YES! It’s my ultra favorite. I love it on everything!

Thanks for voting. I’m off to vote for you (if I haven’t already, I can’t remember). Hope we get it! 🙂 I’m so sad you don’t have a TJ’s near by. But… I’m happy for you because your winning sauce is on the way! 🙂 I sent you an email! 🙂

So hilarious (and awesome) that you had a Joaquin demonstrated move for this week’s Tuesday Trainer – woohoo! I don’t eat cheese, so no goat cheese suggestions from me. 🙂

I voted for you! Roasted butternut squash is my new favorite addition to salads! I’ve been adding it along with dried cranberries or pomegranate seeds, pecans and blue cheese. I love goat cheese on anything and everything (pasta, pizza, salads, roasted veggies, etc.), but blue cheese is my fave on salads. I bet goat cheese would be really good on your broccoli slaw concoction.

Thanks Erin for the “like”. 🙂 Okay, so love your suggestion of adding all of those other goodies. Mmm…… I need to goat cheese on more things. Broccoli slaw concoction first! 🙂 I feel like we need to eat together! Everything you suggest always soudns sooo good! 🙂 ha ha!

Your kids…and your cat…and your tree…and your roasted squash. Have room for one more person in your family? Because I’m seriously considering applying. Ha!

He is rocking those pants. I wore leggings my whole childhood because I refused to put on jeans or anything with a zipper. This literally stopped around 6th grade.

“Liked” you! And I really hope you get picked! I’ve been wanting to try their ‘nola but no one around this area sells it… And I am jealous of the green pants… I need to find them in my size – lol!!
