Yes, Yes I……..

Yes, yes I did not get on the computer at all yesterday. There just wasn’t time to fit it in.

I guess that really isn’t helping my chances of being The Next LOVE Grown Foods Blogger is it? Thanks to those of you that have voted for me! If you haven’t yet, I’d love it if you could just “like” my picture (I’m on the bottom right with the boys).

Thank you! Thank you!

Yes, yes, thanks to the boys waking up an hour earlier than normal we had time to sit down and have a magnificent breakfast yesterday.

And yes, yes, they are still looking over those catalogues every morning (as am I and dreaming about owning a cool espresso machine or a Keurig).

Yes, yes I am still making them the great egg oat pancake for breakfast pretty much every day.

IMG_7516

Yes the love it. Yes it’s usually green, but I decided to change it up a bit.

And yes, yes you can make my green eggs and oats in the microwave (and without the spinach) to have a quick and easy protein oat bowl.

IMG_7519

(One serving of Coach’s Oats made with amount of water called for on package. Add 1/2 cup egg whites, splash of vanilla, cinnamon and sweetener. Microwave everything for 5 minutes. It works best if transferred to a bowl sprayed with cooking spray. I used tupperware.)

Yes, yes, it is THAT much better with mixed berries, sugar free syrup and SunButter.

Yes, we managed to fit in a special trip to visit a special someone yesterday after Strollerwise, a 5 miles jog through the park, and stopping to feed the ducks.

Yes, some STUFT Mama Facebook friends already figured out who we saw.

Santa 2011

Ha ha ha! Why does this picture make me laugh?

And yes, just in case you’re wonderful this particular Santa is a family friend so it makes it that much more fun. Too bad he can’t cut us a deal. Those pictures are pricy!

After our visit we attempted a quick little 10 minute core workout at home with “my boyfriend”.

And yes, yes, the boys totally know him and say “Bob” whenever they see him.

IMG_7521

Yes, they look really into it don’t they? They didn’t sit there for long.

Our workout attempt was closely followed by lunch, a doctor’s appointment, a trip to Target and a little Christmas shopping.

Yes, the day was BUSY!

Yes, these cool new Flatout Foldits make great sandwiches.

IMG_7474

The boys had a couple for lunch with a veggie burger and a grilled cheese and jalapeño yogurt dip  sandwich.

IMG_7523

And yes, I ate the exact same lunch and dinner as yesterday and decided to spare you the pictures.

Yes, I did experiment for dessert and make a cute little s’mores out of one of these cool Flatout Foldits.

IMG_7524

In the Foldit- one cut up marshmallow, 1/2 Baker’s semi-sweet chocolate square and a dab of Better Than Peanut Butter.

Yes, of course I made it in my coolio sandwich maker.

IMG_7525

And yes, it was awesome!

Smile

Yes, I opted to go to bed at a decent time last night and skip out on the Biggest Loser, doing a blog post and replying to comments and emails.

Yes, I feel bad about not doing the last ones, but I feel fabulous after a good night’s sleep.

Yes, I got this email this morning.

image

Yes, I get them pretty much every morning. No, I have never signed up.

Yes, I also got a different email about another Bob Club date this Saturday. Lets hope he doesn’t cancel and let’s hope I don’t wear these pants.

Smile

Yes, I have a super buy day staring me in the face, not to mention our Christmas tree still looks like this.

Yes, I need to fit in a long training run sometime today (hopefully 15-16 miles) for my upcoming marathon.

Yes, I’m writing this in my bed while in my pajamas.

Yes, I was looking up quotes the other day for my LOVE Grown Blogger application and came across

Can’t Buy Me Love Movie Quotes.

image

One of the best movies ever.

And yes, I did use a quote from that movie in my application. That’s not really helping my chances either is it?

I really need some picture “likes”.

Smile

And yes, I may have to take a few days off from the blog because I have taken on way too much and just can’t seem to keep up.

Yes, yes I need to get in the shower and get a move on. Breakfast and making a new version of Peanut Butter Doughtzel Balls are calling my name, not to mention the Crib Club Comedy routine is about over.

Have a great day!

Seems to be a common theme – we all need to take a breather sometimes, especially with how crazy the Christmas season can be!

You missed the Biggest Loser?? Don’t worry, it’s on hulu. You can watch it after the kiddies hit the deck! Actually, as long you don’t miss the finale everything is OK!

  3. 3

Tis the season to be over-committed. I feel your pain, my friend!

You deserve a break….I know I’ll be waiting for you to come back anytime! I just wanted to let you know that Kohl’s is having a good sale and I am about to grab a kuerig for myself. It’s a mini brewer, regular price $129.99, on sale for $99.99, but there is a coupon code on the front page for 20% off. You get free shipping on orders over $50, plus $10 Kohl’s cash for each $50. So it would only be $70 if you count the Kohl’s cash. If it’s in your budget, now might be the time to get one!

Yes, yes, this post made me tired just reading it – but then you were just to lunch time – lol!! It got even busier as I read on ;) Hopefully you can get a little break in so you can enjoy the Christmas season! Perhaps a “wordless” day of posts is in order for your blog?? Lol! Just slap up a couple of pictures and you are good to go! But then again, maybe I am just lazy… but I want you to be picked by Love Grown!!

PS, I love that picture with Santa because a) Judah looks totally angelic and b) Joaquin looks like he just did something naughty but is not going to tell us what!! Too cute :D

A wordless day sounds like a darn good idea Kinley. If I could just keep my mouth shut (or my fingers from typing). :)
PS- the boys look like that all the time. ha ha!

I totally just read Lindsay’s post about taking a break… the holidays can just get so overwhelming!! I’m grateful for slow afternoons at work lately so I can read blogs and write posts, otherwise I wouldn’t be around much either, especially now that my massage clients are starting to ramp up now that I got my license and I am making their appointments in the evening and on weekends around my full-time job! Craziness but I love it. I wish they made gluten-free Flatouts, because that Smores concoction looks amazing!

Candice- don’t be fooled. That was not the first take and luckily there was no line so Santa was very patient with us. :) Ha ha! Good luck with your kiddos Santa visit. And… yes, yes, you do need a sandwich maker. :)

Kasey- so sorry you can’t have Flatouts. They do rock the house, don’t they. They should make a gluten free version just for you. Don’t they know who you are??? :) he he!

I love that movie! The dance he practices for the party is awesome! I totally do that move for Tony all the time! I’m glad you had a great day and got some rest. With two boys that age and everything else you do…you are my hero!

Sarena- OMG- the dance. I’m pretty darn good at that dance. ha ha ha! African Anteater …………. ritual? I can’t remember. Why is it every time we think we can rest, something else happens? :) Life is funny, huh?

That’s a good Santa! His beard looks real! I love that photo of your boys…too cute. And they’re actually smiling, instead of crying, which seems to be the typical photo-with-santa pose.

I just randomly came upon your site and have been looking around. Love the healthy life style…. BUT I would say please do some research into plastic use and especially in the microwave! When heated chemicals are given off into your food. I just hate to see you work so hard to be healthy and let chemicals in your body via something so silly :)
Just a heads up…. EWG.com is a good place to start. Also the movie “bag it” is an eye opener on many plastic levels.
Anyhow I will enjoy reading your blog daily!!

      STUFT Mama says:

Jen- Thank you so much for saying this. I’ve been thinking about it for some time and have seen blurbs about plastic, etc. but have never really researched it. I NEED to. You are right- it’s silly to concentrate so much on being healthy and neglecting something silly. Thanks for the website address and for making me think twice about some of my preparation techniques. :)
