One More Day Please

Yes, I would like just one more day (or two) right now. I still feel like I need to recover a bit from Christmas and we have a very special birthday to celebrate tomorrow that I’m not quite prepared for. I have 24 hours. Plenty of time.

Yesterday, instead of getting to rest after all the festivities I was thrown back into my Monday schedule of teaching five and a half hours of fitness classes. It was a little rough, but I guess that’s one way to burn off all those dessert calories.

I would like to officially put in a request for just one day where everything else stops around me so I don’t feel like I’m not keeping up or missing out on an opportunity while I’m taking my day.

Okay?

Great.

I wish someone would give these guys the message also. They’ve been all about mowing the kitchen floor at 6:30 in the morning the past two days.

Come on.

Last night, instead of posting, I did a little kitchen rearranging. Some room needed to be made for the coolest gift ever.

Oh yes. My attempts to get a discounted Keurig over the past month failed so my amazing parents and uncle pulled through and got me something better. I’m pretty sure my life is going to change with this thing.

Hey look, I even got a little help from my new friend.

Ha ha!

Speaking of my friend, have you ever heard of a

doppelgänger?

I think I found mine.

And yes, I was still wearing my Christmas pajamas last night and yes, I still have them on this morning.

Okay, so while we all take our day, I’ll leave you with just a couple of Christmas highlights.

I don’t want the previous picture to be stuck in your head.

We had an amazing Christmas. It was filled with lots of time with wonderful family. I took over 120 pictures, but am only sharing a few. I’m not sure how comfortable everyone is yet being posted on the internet. My poor boys (and my immediate family) don’t get an option. He he!

Holy moly my boys are turning two tomorrow. I can’t wrap my head around that.

Have a wonderful day! I’m off to have my first latte made with my new Tassimo (and get out on my pajamas).

Random question for the day-

Who’s your doppelgänger?

I’m willing to bet it’s better than mine.

I don’t know. Our little guys are miracles as is so I don’t know if it’s in the cards for us anyway. Not that I’m not a basket case already with just two. LOL.

I have to tell you I made my family eat green coat’s oat pancakes on Christmas and they got rave reviews. I just made them from the recipe on the bag and added spinach. Yummy! And So filling! I didn’t know if I would be hungry for Christmas Dinner… but I made room. Glad you had a wonderful Christmas. Happy birthday to your boys!

Oh yay! That’s exactly what I did. The mix is just so darn good on it’s own. 🙂 Glad you could still make room for dinner. He he! I might have to make them again for the big birthday tomorrow! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas Jennifer!

You have such a beautiful family! I don’t know how you do it…5 fitness classes and take care of twin 2 year olds. I am so in awe of you! Enjoy your coffee treats! I’m super jealous! YUM!

Love your scarf, the boys grill and your new coffee machine!! I took way too many pictures (280+!) so I am glad to know you still took plenty so that makes me feel a bit better 😉 LOL! And I am not sure who my doppelgänger would be… I always have a really hard time coming up with a response to that when someone asks me?? But yours is pretty funny although I am not quite sure its a total look-alike for you 😀

He he! Thnaks! I lvoe that scarf too! Thnaks for answering my doppelganger question- no one else said anything. LOL. Let me know if you figure yours out! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas Kinley! Did you get your Flat Kitty yet? 🙂

      • I’ll keep thinking and let you know! And no! Not yet… I keep checking my mailbox but nothing yet… sometime our mail here is randomly slow but I still thought I would have it by now 🙁 I was actually just thinking about this today when I checked the mail – lol!!

Love all the pictures! And I can imagine the kitchen mowing. If only kids knew how to give us mommas a break. 😉

Your family is gorgeous! So jealous of your new Tassimo! At least I’ve got those Torani syrups to keep me company in the meantime! I have been told I look like Judy Garland (when I was little little), like Blossom (when I was an awkward teenager), like Donna from That 70’s Show (when I had dyed red-orange long-ass hair), and like Rachel Ray (which made me want to stab someone… she’s um, NOT MY FAVORITE, lol!). Happy almost-birthday to your little angels!!

Ha ha! Okay, you have a whole list of dopplegangers. Who knew? 🙂 Love it Christin! And um, off the record, Rachel Ray isn’t really my favorite either, but she seems nice. Maybe I’m just jealous that she has her own show.

I need a day to recover too – and I don’t even have kids! You must be worn out. Looks like a great Christmas though!

My doppelgänger is Belinda Carlisle from the Go-Gos. The 80s Belinda, not now.

Okay, you have a COOL doppelgänger. So much better than mine! 🙂 Ha ha! I think you’re even prettier than her. 🙂 And, um, yeah, worn out is an understatement. Wish you were closer so we could hire you to cater a little birthday party for us. He he!

Dang, I thought I had it rough with my daughter’s birthday being on Jan. 4th, but your boys are turning 2 tomorrow? I would not be ready for that, I’m still in Christmas mode!!!

    Happy Birthday boys!!!!

  11. 11

LOL! I love it. I don’t really think I have one! Not sure…

  12. 12

Lincoln has the same reindog shirt as the boys 🙂 He also has a toy chainsaw that he got for Christmas that I will happily trade for the mower – he has been “cutting” down our Christmas tree since he opened it!
I got a new coffee grinder for Christmas, not as cool as your new toy but at least I don’t need a fork to grind coffee anymore 🙂
Happy Birthday to the boys! Two! Let the good times roll!!
