Yes. Yes I do.
I had big plans to come up with a great recipe for you all for Valentine’s Day, but yesterday threw me for a loop so I didn’t quite get a chance. The boys, Kitty and I managed to tape a pretty funny video though for Tuesday Trainer. It was for the partner moves workout Lindsay put together. You can check out the full workout here.

I was sent some great products from Attune Foods last month. I mentioned the graham crackers in my Coronado Valentine’s Day 10K post yesterday.
These grahams have been making their way into the boys’ snack cups regularly as of late.
I usually try to not eat processed foods, but the products over at Attune Foods use simple, pure ingredients and have a lot of different dietary options.
Along with the grahams I received these cereals.
The Strawberry Crisp has been making it’s way onto our Chobani yogurt lately. I am always on the lookout for a good Rice Krispies substitution. The Crispy Brown Rice Cereal is just that. A whole cup of that crispy goodness is only 110 calories. I just so happen to use those crispy little things to make this.
Valentine Protein Cookie Dough
1/4 cup oats (20 grams)
1/3 cup brown rice cereal (10 grams)
2 tablespoons PB2 (12 grams)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (10 grams)
1 tablespoon peanut butter (or other nut butter)
2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
Mix all ingredients together until combined. Roll into a ball or press into a dish.
Refrigerate (or eat straight from the bowl).
I’ll have to figure out the exact calorie information when I have more time, but I’m estimating it’s around 310 depending on the exact ingredients you use.
YOU can make a big protein cookie dough ball, but I tried to be all cutesy and ate it out of a heart dish.
The combination of oats, peanut butter and the crispy brown rice cereal was a match made in heaven.
Yum!
Okay, gotta run.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
He he! What should the Flat Kitty theme be this week? Maybe we should go with favorite snacks. Thoughts?

Delish! Happy Valentines Day! What kind of protein powder do you use?
I used this Aria one I found at Trader Joe’s. I used to use Jay Robb all the time. I’m in search of a a good one to fall in love with. Any suggestions?
I keep Sunwarrior around for oatmeal because it’s the only one that really dissolves but I’m on the search for a new whey as well for smoothies. I just got some About Time but the verdict is still out. I’ll let you know.
Where do you get SunWarrior? I keep hearing about it, but you have to order it online, yes?
Yes basically only online. It’s crazy expensive but it’s crazy amazing. I use it in oatmeal and pancakes, I do not prefer it in smoothies or shakes. If you watch the prices on Amazon sometimes they will dip down. But once you try it you’ll always have to have it in the house.
love it, pinned! do NOT love flat kitty. it makes me scurrrred. xo
Awww……. but Flat Kitty loves YOU and all your cute videos! 🙂 He he!
Oh my god this looks amazing! I pinned it so I remember it :D.
Thanks for the pin Lindsay! (I still don’t know how to put a stinking “pin” button of my posts.) I just ate another serving of it now. Good stuff.
I love your videos!! Your family is so cute :-)!
And I hope you have extra cookie dough to share with me today! 🙂 Happy V-day!!
So great seeing you today. Oh shoot, need to text you back. Looking forward to Thursday!
There’s nothing more appealing to me right now than eating a whole bowl of cookie dough. But you should totally blend some spinach in next time. 😉
I don’t think it would work that well because it’s pretty dry. Might be worth a shot though. LOL. 🙂 I’m into normal colored food lately since I’ve been sick. I don’t know what’s happened to me.
um, i heart YOU for coming up with this fantastic protein cookie dough recipe! looks amazing!
Ashley- I heart YOU for all your nice comments all the time and for trying my recipes. 🙂
Ok, I have been dreaming of something like this! A mixture of cookie dough and protein! Perfection! And quite possibly my new favorite snack… I’ll get back to you once I try it with a full report!
And PS, I like the Flat Kitty Snack idea! I always struggle with healthy filling snack ideas 🙂
Oh Kinley- I just ate it again and it was good. I’ve been wanting to do something like this with protein for awhile. Mmm…… Yes, give me the full report once you try it!
i don’t know what makes me happier, attunes food or the push up vlog. BOTH!! Oh woman, we are the same and i love your style, taste, and all!
We are the same. If only we lived closer……… 🙂 You’re reminding me I need to experiment with my Vegemite. What do I do with it? 🙂
vegemite with cheese and tomato or vegemite with ppeanut butter and cottage cheese. Or i do toast, vegemite, peanut butter, banana, and honey. Oh the options are endless!
I’m going to try my hardest to do Flat Kitty this week! when do you need the picture? Happy V-day, friend!!
If you would do Flat Kitty you would make me the happiest person ever!!! Pictures by Thursday night is best. 🙂 And, um, I just want to tell you that you’re awesome and you’re my Valentine (even though you don’t really celebrate). K? And you have rockin abs that I’m jealous of.
Looks greatttt!! Heart-healthy heart-shaped for heart -day! Happy Vday
Happy V-Day to you too Meredith! 🙂
That cookie dough recipe looks so yummy! I love the festive heart bowl!
Kerry- The bowl isn’t mine. I totally begged my mom to bring over anything Valentine related because I had nothing. The bowl just happen to be in the bag (along with some fun baking pans). 🙂 Ha ha! I may have to keep it though. Eating out of it makes me happy.
Flat Kitty Valentine’s would be awesome! I love how Joaquin is carrying Kitty! So cute. Kitty seems to be a good sport.
Oh Sara- poor, poor Kitty. 🙂 That is not unusual around here. Luckily he just takes it. I know… I SHOULD have done Flat Kitty Valentine’s for real. Next year. 🙂
I am sure Kitty loves all that love from Joaquin! I need some of that protein cookie dough! YUM! I just got some vanilla protein powder in, so I need to have some cookie dough for treats tonight! I hope you have a great Valentine’s Day with your men!
Sarena- I think this combination is right up your alley. What kind of protein powder do you use? I’m in search of a good one. 🙂 Just read your post and am still a little sappy about it! 🙂 Do they really grow up that fast? 🙂
two things: i LOVE those attune foods graham crackers, i forgot about them! and that protein packed treat looks excellent. i need to re-stock my PB2. xoxo
Those graham crackers are the bomb! 🙂 Dang, I need to restock my PB2 too. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂 Hugs lady!
Now that’s a V day treat I want, yum!!
Hey Kristin, Just found your blog, and it’s awesome! Can’t wait to make this protein cookie dough! Can you tell me about PB2???
Also, I saw you were looking for a new protein powder. I use( and love) Whole nectar soy protein. It has no taste, so I can use it in oatmeal, pancakes, smoothies etc…
Thanks!!!
Hi Elizabeth! PB2 is a powdered peanut butter that mixes with just about anything. It’s 45 calories per serving as opposed to 200 like in regular peanut butter. here’s the link to the store where I buy it. 🙂 http://store.bellplantation.com/?Click=9493
Whole nectar soy, huh? I’ve never heard of that one. I will have to check it out. Thanks! 🙂
I just found this! Looks amazing! Did you figure out the calorie numbers?
Yes, I can’t find the post on it though. This version I believe is about 300. If you want, let me know which version you make and I can calculate it out for you Carissa!
I just had to tell you that I recently discovered your blog and, among other things, I’m loving your recipes! This cookie dough has been my breakfast for the last several days. I LOVE it!! As I type, I’m eating the protein oat pancake. Yum! Thanks for posting great tasting, healthy, high protein, easy recipes.
Holly- Welcome and I’m so glad you like the dough. I’ve been eating my fair share of all differnet versions of it lately. 🙂 Thanks for your nice comment. Hope you’re having a good weekend!
Just wanted to let you know you have inspired me in so many ways. I never seriously considered buying protein powder until I saw all of your delicious looking recipes. Then tonight I had both roasted broccoli slaw with marinara and this cookie dough and they may have changed my life. Thank you so much!
