Okay, so Flat Kitty must not have been very nice this week because I didn’t get too many pictures emailed to me. I’m going to blame him instead of the fact that I only mentioned it once on here the other day. Oopsies.
Before we get to the snacks I thought you might want to see a picture of dinner last night since it’s been awhile. I know you’ve been missing my broccoli slaw pictures. Ha ha!
Eating is finally getting back to normal around here after being sick for so long. Last night I had my usual spicy broccoli slaw spaghetti with some cheese sandwiches (that just happen to get a little too crispy).
I also opted to watch The Bachelor from last week and finally paint my toe nails (they had leftover polish still on from Thanksgiving) instead of writing a post.
Okay, enough blabbing. Here’s Flat Kitty’s snack break.
Flat Kitty and I also experimented with that protein cookie dough from the other day and tried to save 100 calories by taking out the peanut butter.
Instead of eating it with a spoon I formed it into a large protein dough ball and after a little time in the freezer it was chilled and calling my name.
I prefer the taste of this protein cookie dough with the peanut butter (or other nut butter) in there, but if you just want a protein rich, doughy snack with some oats and crispies for around 210 calories, this definitely does the trick.
Light Protein Cookie Dough Ball
1/4 cup oats (20 grams)
1/3 cup brown rice cereal (10 grams)
2 tablespoons PB2 (12 grams)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (10 grams)
2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
Form into ball or press into dish. Chill.
In addition to my protein dough ball I munched on a Trader Joe’s brown rice cake with a tablespoon of SunButter and some blueberries.
(I just got these today.)
Let’s see what else Flat Kitty got to snack on.
Over at Lindsay’s he got some almonds and edamame and got to get some love from Clara.
Lindsay is the genius behind the Tuesday Trainer workouts and her kids are freaking adorable.
At Sara’s house He got his hands on a curried deviled egg.
I’m surprised he knew what one is since at our house the only eggs we know are Costco carton egg substitutes. Ha!
Over at a different Sara’s house Flat Kitty got his hands on some special Valentine’s Day homemade whoopie pies.
I would like one of those please.
And at Stephanie’s house he got some Girl Scout cookies.
Lucky guy. I wish he would bring me a box. ha!
And well, that was all of his adventures for the week. I didn’t get the word out soon enough. Next week will just be a free for all. Any picture you want to email me I’ll put in the post.
I’ve had some requests for an upper body workout, so I’ll try to shoot a little video with some of my favorite moves this weekend.
Okay, I’m off to see what I can tackle for the remainder of nap time.
I also have a treadmill run that I need to get to later tonight. I’m not too motivated today though for some reason. I need to find a good romantic comedy for motivation. Ha!
Have a great weekend!
