Well, I’m SUPER late to this whole 11 Random Things About Me post.
I don’t even know the whole rules, etc. I think I was tagged by Katie way back when and then a month or so ago by Christin. Since I don’t remember them, I’m not playing by the rules. Sorry. I’m way to late to the game anyway.
So here it goes.
1. I have a hairless cat named Kitty. You can read all about his story here (including how I used my college loan money to order him on the internet).
2. I have a thing with cute bowls, mugs, plates, silverware, etc. I have to eat certain meals on specific plates and certain drinks out of particular mugs or glasses. It all depends on my mood and the season (yes, my mugs are seasonal). Weird.
3. I’m the most indecisive person you will ever meet. I always second guess myself and my decisions. I can’t help it. I wish I could just make a decision and go with it, but it’s not in my nature.
4. I have always loved the Muppets. They are awesome. Beaker is my favorite and I can do a mean Beaker impression (that I was trying to teach Joaquin yesterday).
5. I also love sock monkeys. My mom made a bunch for Christmas years ago and I’ve been obsessed ever since.
6. My candles, wallflower plug-ins, hand soaps, lotions and perfumes change with the season. I have certain scents that I use only for winter, same goes for springs, etc. Which reminds me, I should be getting ready to change them next month.
7. I eat some kind of nut butter at least once a day.
8. My favorite meals are either veggie pizza or Mexican food.
9. I’m very high maintenance when I’m out to eat. I can never order just as is on the menu. I’ve always been like that, even as a kid.
10. My hands are always cold and dry. They look like a 90 year old lady’s hands. That’s why you don’t see pictures of them.
11. My second toe is longer than my first. Someone told me once it means I’m a leader. I’m going with that.
12. I have weird looking feet (not just my toes). My roommate in college used to tell me I had monkey feet.
13. I have a sewing machine that I bought 5 years ago. It’s sitting in a room all set up. It’s been used once. My ironing board has probably been used once also.
14. I’m 5 2 1/2 and am always sure to tell people about that extra 1/2.
15. I used to have all my closest organized by style and color. I won’t even show you what they look like now.
16. I have never been to Europe, but would love to travel there someday.
17. I want to breed hairless cats. I also want one of those hairless dogs that have their tongues sticking out someday.
18. I would love to qualify for the Boston marathon.
19. I cut out coupons all the time, but never remember to take them to the store.
20. I used to have chronic sciatic back problems in college and could barely walk for two years. I had shooting pains in my butt and down my leg. It was awful.
21. I used to have my nose and tongue pierced in college also. I wonder if it was related to my back pain. Ha.
22. I have two tattoos. A sand dollar that looks like an Easter egg (not by choice) on my lower back and a butterfly on my front left hip.
23. I had leg perthes disease when I was 6 years old. I spent over a year in a leg brace with my legs spread apart in a straddle. I taught myself how to ride a bike with that darn brace on. Then I had surgery and was put in two full leg casts with a broomstick in between. My grandma had to make me special underwear. It’s pretty much amazing that I can run the way I do now. I have a big inner thigh scar and one of my legs will forever be wider than the other.
24. My belly button will forever point straight out thanks to my twins. I hate it, I love them.
25. My undergarments always have to match my outfit.
26. I am VERY stubborn. If I want something I will do whatever it takes to get it. I do not like being told that I can’t do something. If that happens I usually bust my butt to prove someone wrong.
27. I hate disappointing people. It’s one of the worst feelings. family, friends, etc. It doesn’t matter. I hate letting people down.
28. I am the luckiest girl in the world to have found Andrew. We have a long history that I won’t bore you with, but I liked him for years off and on before he finally decided to give me a chance. I’m so glad he did.
29. Not only am I lucky to have found him, but I also became part of the most amazing family in the world.
30. Speaking of family, I love mine. I have one younger brother and that’s it. My mom is my best friend and my dad is my “go to” man. I’m pretty sure I’ve caused a few gray hairs for both of them. I was and still am a handful.
31. It was not easy for me to get pregnant with our little guys. I won’t bore you with the whole story (maybe someday), but these two guys are definitely miracles. Even the doctor couldn’t figure out how I got pregnant when I did. The fact that it was twins was just even more miraculous. I am blessed.
32. Although I’m not making much money, I am living my dream being a mom, training clients, running my own fitness business, teaching classes and blogging and making videos. I hope to some day really make a career out of it (and be on the Ellen Show).
Oops. So much for 11 things. I guess I got a little carried away.
Tell me something about yourself now.
I’m off to make some green eggs and oats. Have a great day!

Fun facts. I have been struggling with severe sciatica recently so I know that pain too well. My hands look like an old lady’s too. Super veiny.
Maybe we’re hand twins? 🙂 So sorry about your sciatica. It’s no fun at all. Hope it gets better. My chiropractor did wonders.
that’s it, I am calling him Lumberg from now on 😉
I love sock monkeys too… SO much. my mom gave me the cutest sock monkey pillow recently, I’ll have to share a photo…
Happy Sunday! XO
A sock monkey pillow? I’m jealous! 🙂 Happy Sunday to you too! Give Basil a squeeze from all of us!
i loved this! and i swear i could’ve written a lot of it… apparently we’re very similar, which might explain why i want to be you when i “grow up”. 😉 i’d love to hear about your story on how you got pregnant with your boys. i love “miracle stories” like that!
I should share it. It’s pretty darn cool. Maybe in the next few weeks. 🙂 Love that we’re so similar. Thought of you when I ate my protein cookie dough just now. 🙂
Love these type of posts! I want to know two things though : the story behind your twins being born/conceived AND the story behind you and Andrew:). Everyone else does too, and it would not bore anyone! Your awesome, I love reading your blog and look forward to it EVERY DAY!
Okay Carolyn…… I’ll work on getting those the next few weeks or so. Adding them to my long lists of things I need to post about. Ha! Thanks for the nice compliment! Happy Sunday!
I concur w/ Carolyn! 🙂 Love stories like that (But only if you feel like sharing!)
My hands are ALWAYS cold too!
Are your feet too? My feet are freezing at all times too!
ALWAYS! I have wool socks on right now.
After reading this I like you even more than I already did.
I am impressed you can run like you do! Wow.
P.S. I’m 5’2 and 5/8ths.
Really? 5/8th? We need to stand back to back. 🙂 I’ve been wondering how tall you were since you made that comment about picturing me being tall. Maybe it’s because I hang out with these two short guys all the time.
I look taller on TV. 😉
WOW!! loved getting to know you more!! I had no idea about the leg stuff – you’re an amazing runner to begin with – knowing that just makes you more awesome in my eyes!
Thank you so much! Let’s see – what can I share – oh when I was in graduate school I once played intramural water polo…..:) Hope you are having a glorious Sunday!
Ooo…. water polo. That’s fun! 🙂 Happy Sunday!
Love learning more about you 🙂 I love the Muppets too!! 🙂
Muppets ROCK! 🙂
Slightly more than eleven, but I think eleven is kind of small when you think about it! Love your list! I am with you 100% on #9. I have always been a difficult diner… and it never fails that my meal will be the one messed up royally when orders come out. Hence I never go out to eat anymore…
My orders always get messed up too!!! It’s so frustrating! 🙂 Maybe I should stop going out to eat. Ha!
None of this surprises me as I already knew we were so much alike! I swear, you and I were separated at birth! Love this list!
Awesome list!! I swear if we didn’t live on opposite ends of the country, we would be best friends! I have to agree with you – mexican food and pizza – hands down – best.food.ever. 🙂
this just made my night! i’m totally smiling. love and miss you my dear friend. xo, your roommate with the flinstone feet
