Move vs. Margarita


So it’s Tuesday. I know a lot of places have a “Taco Tuesday” (or maybe that’s just around here in Southern California). Well, on more than one occasion STUFT Daddy has gotten the night off to go partake in a little “Taco Tuesday” fun.

I’m not going to say I’m jealous or anything. In fact, I get some nights off too. My “nights off” are spent at the gym (usually teaching classes) and frequently involve me picking something up for Andrew’s dinner on my way home.

That’s fair right?


So just to be fair to you, I’ll share a little something to cover either way you might spend your night off (in case you get one sometime soon).

First up is a move of the week.

This is a stability ball tuck. It’s a pretty well known move and a really great one to engage your whole core.

It’s a really good thing I don’t train clients in my own home. I have a feeling I wouldn’t get much business.

I really shouldn’t wonder why my at home yoga attempts fail.

You know you wish you were hanging out with us. Ha ha ha!

Okay, okay. Margarita time.

This is our new favorite discovery. We’ve been enjoying them on our weekend date nights which I’m not proud to admit have included some episodes of Jersey Shore lately. Yeah, we’re classy like that. Actually, with this margarita I’m not even embarrassed to admit that.


This is a stepped up version of the basic STUFT-rita. You can find the original recipe here. It’s my go to light homemade cocktail when I want a little more than just a small glass of my favorite wine (or when we’re having Mexican food- wine and Mexican food don’t go well together in my book).

The key ingredients that make this drink darn amazing are amaretto and a blood orange.


Oh my blood orange goodness.


The Ultimate STUFT-rita

(makes 2 large margaritas)

1 can diet lemon lime soda

1 individual packet lemon lime or margarita drink mix (I used Market Pantry from Target)

2-3 ounces tequila (or more)

2-3 ounces amaretto

1 whole blood orange (peeled)

2 cups ice

Combine everything in a blender or mix well and pour over the ice. It really doesn’t matter which way you drink it because it’s just that good.

He he.


Oh if I only had a night off.

Just kidding.

STUFT Daddy deserves a night off (or a dozen for what I put him through on a daily basis).

    Thanks for the reminder to peel the blood orange! In my rush to make a fabulous margarita I may have left the peeling on. Ha! It would still be drinkable in my book!

    I want a Stuft-rita! That looks so good! I actually miss the days of the boys playing all around me (and on me) when I work out. Those days are long gone, but at least I can get them to workout with me now. I hope you got a good night’s sleep and have fun with our boyfriend today!

    Can you believe I don’t like margaritas? At all….They always look so good though. We’ll probably be doing Taco Tuesday at our house. I get to enjoy physical therapy after work – good times 😉

    I don’t have toddlers anymore, but that is exactly why I too no longer do yoga at home. Someone always needed me for something right NOW and it couldn’t wait and no one else in the house could possibly help them. It made me want to drink margaritas! That one sounds fantastic!

    Busy boys! I only have one and I know how crazy it can get let alone two 🙂 But the greatest thing about this age is how much I laugh during the day – and how many stories I get to tell Andrew when he gets home from work 🙂

    Ok- so this has NOTHING to do with this post. But i was talking to you about pb2 the other on the stuft cookies (still not in but fingers crossed it will be here tomorrow).
    Anyway i’m OBSESSED with your blog…. drinking your mocha as we speak…i was thinking of adding some sugar free syrups to it to spice it up a bit. not that it needs spice…i’ve made it every day for a week straight. 😉
    Last night I also made the stuft “ice cream” fro- something…? LOL sorry to butcher the name but i LOVE it!! i used butterscotch FF/SF pudding mix. holy moly.

    Well that looks tasty and sounds so good for summer coming up. I’m still breastfeeding though so I really limit my alcohol intake right now, which basically means I don’t drink any alcohol:). However, I bet that would be delicious with no alcohol, so yummy that I would be better off making it at bed time so my boys didn’t drink all of it!

    Oh and I am totally going to make that Doughtzel balls soon. I have been thinking about them for a week now but just haven’t got around to doing it. They sound so yummy (maybe too yummy to have in my house when I am home everyday, all day with small children-way to many temptations to go crazy and eat bad).

    Your boys crack me up. They are so boys! Boys are just like that. I would know I have 3 of them. Yes they are wonderful but man are they work!
