Well, I don’t have any pictures of My Trainer Bob and I from yesterday’s video shoot, but I do have some fun things that happened, a little What I Ate Wednesday action, a couple of other random things, a new dairy free broccoli slaw concoction and a Love Grown Foods winner.
Whoa that’s a lot. I better get cracking.
Right now I’m bringing in spring with a very strong STUFT salted caramel mocha in my cute seasonal mug.
Want to see what’s going on in the background of this picture?
Ha ha. Nala sure wants that dove. He and his mate are hang out at our house every single day.
I’m waiting on a replacement Tassimo machine (long story) so I got into a coffee sample pack I got at The Gourmet Experience and brewed it in my stovetop espresso maker.
This Muddy Waters coffee is pretty good stuff.
Speaking of kitchen appliances, I also have a brand new Cuisinart Griddler thanks to Costco’s fabulous return policy. I took in mine that I got a couple Christmases ago that stopped working and they credited my account so I could get a brand new one.
I love Costco. While I was there I also purchased a couple new finds:
Don Lee Farms Veggie Patties
and Hemp Hearts.
I haven’t tried either of these things yet, but I sure am excited about them.
One thing I don’t have after that Costco trip is toilet paper which we desperately need. Ugh. I hate that.
On to a little What I Ate Wednesday and my recap with “my boyfriend”.

I was only 40 minutes late after sitting in 3 hours of LA traffic. Way to impress Kristin. Luckily they were running late also.
I was starving by the time I got there so I had a banana from their food table (not pictured).
After we shot the workout I made a trip to Starbucks from my favorite green tea latte drink.
It’s definitely not a regular green tea latte. Can you figure out what it is?
I also had some Trader Joe’s lite air popped popcorn.
Then I broke down and had this monster of a Supreme Protein Bar. I’d gone three weeks without any dairy and packed this bar in case of emergency.
Well, that emergency happened since it took me over 3 hours to get home also. Ugh.
I have to say I was a little worried about the bar, but my tummy seemed to handle it pretty well. Yay!
After a late night treadmill run while watching the new show Bent, I came up this BBQ broccoli slaw bake.
I think it’s going to be my new thing. I’ve been wanting to try a little something like this for some time and last night I finally did. The result was impressive so I thought I’d share. You know, since you haven’t seen broccoli slaw in awhile and all.
Broccoli Slaw BBQ Bake
one bag broccoli slaw
seasoning- garlic salt, garlic powder, pepper, sea salt, cayenne
rotisserie chicken
jalapeño (optional)
BBQ sauce
Spray a pan with nonstick spray. Spread broccoli slaw on pan. Spray slaw with cooking spray and add seasonings.
Top with chicken, the jalapeño (if using) and some BBQ sauce. (My favorite BBQ sauce is TATS Original Black Dahlia.)
Roast in the oven at 400 (or 375 convection) for about 15-20 minutes.
I actually had mine with a little garlic bread (my favorite bread with some Smart Balance Light, garlic powder and nutritional yeast) made in my sandwich maker.
Note- I think this would also be good with Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Wing sauce (similar to this cauliflower bake).
I finished the night off with a little soy sandwich from Trader Joe’s.
Oops, I got a little to excited about the broccoli slaw (I do that sometimes) I forgot to recap my Bob workout.
Here you go.
I didn’t even take any pictures this time because I was trying to play it cool.
I reclaimed my usual spot in front right by my main man.
I was the designated “advanced girl”. He he. I love that.
Before we started taping he turned to me and told me he expected excellence out of me. My immediate thought was that I should’ve had a stronger mocha and gotten a little more sleep.
The workout we did was a little different. It was similar to CrossFit in that it was AMRAP (as may reps as possible).
It was 4 moves repeated for 7 minutes and you kept track of how many rounds you did. I really like the idea behind it. Those 7 minutes were pretty darn long.
My plan to play it cool must have worked because when I talked to him after the workout he told me he wants to do a one on one with me. I wanted to jump up and down and hug him, but again I played it cool and simple said that that would be awesome. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it plays out. How cool would that be? Ahhhh!!!!!
Here’s the link to the promo for the new Online Fitness Club that’s launching soon with all these videos I’ve been taping.
Bob Harper Online Fitness Club
Just in case you missed it, I’m in this video a couple times.
I promise I won’t post it any more.

We also had a quick discussion about how 100 calorie snack packs are pretty much junk. Save your money and stay away from processed foods.
In case you need another reason to skip the packaged stuff, I found this article the other day on Shape.com. I’ve totally experienced the post processed foods grumpiness first hand. Click here to check it out.
Okay, I think that’s about it besides announcing the winner of the Love Grown Foods Granola giveaway.
Thanks to random.org …..
JennyV- You’re the winner! Yay!
Email me at stuftmama@stuftfitness.com with your address so I can get your coupons to you!
Okay friends. That’s all. Dang this post ended up being a lot longer than I anticipated.
See you tomorrow.
What you got?

I’ve been curious about his workouts. They look pretty tough (aka awesome). And that bbq slaw sounds great. I could easily sub in tempeh or seitan. I love slaw on bbq sandwiches anyway.
Heather- I’ve done something like it with tempeh and it was awesome!
wow some many great things in this post. first that Broccoli Slaw BBQ Bake sounds and looks amazing!!! it is has been a long time since I had bbq.
and yay for working out with Bob! loved the video and congrats on Shape too
and I know I say this all the time, but want your arms
I just can’t get enough of working out with Bob. Ha ha!
Oh my gosh! I am so excited for you! I can’t wait to hear all about your one on one sessions with him! Yea!
I need the broccoli slaw concoction. And another protein cookie because I am obsessed and dream about them now.
I have a Griddler and it is pretty much the best appliance that ever existed. But I could eat paninis for days, so maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about.
I’m obsessed too. I just made a new version that is pretty impressive. Can’t wait to share!
His workouts look awesome. But WTH is up with his hair? Long and floppy on top and short everywhere else? Yuck.
No clue what the Starbucks drink is as I have never been there, but it looks yummy!
His hair is different everytime.
It looks good now!
I love love love the don lee farms veggie burgers from costco! They’re SO delicious, one of my all time favorite brands of veggie burger (they have sunflower seeds) you will love them!
Oh I can’t wait to try them Carlyn.
Sunflower seeds? YUM!
And another thing- look at these opportunities thay keep popping up that wouldn’t happen if upon were still working full time as a teacher! I think this is confirmation that you made the right choice -questions no matter how scary it is to give up thay full time job. Makes me wanna quit my job! Shh. Don’t tell my husband.
I know Jennifer- too bad these aren’t paid opportunities. Ha ha. Thanks! We’ll see if I ever get my one on one chance.
Missed you yesterday. Between you and me I think you should quit your job. Ha ha!
Love this post! All of the eats look yummy.
That would be awesome to get a one on one session. How did you get this job to begin with? Did you see the Bob interview on Rosie Tuesday? It was a good one.
Ahh… I missed the interview. Darn it. It’s not quite a job as I don’t get paid. Ha!
Bravo to you for playing it cool! I would have been a giggly mess.
I don’t think you can go wrong with broccoli slaw. We’ve been making our own egg rolls and using broccoli slaw as the filling. Really good!
You are so right. You just can’t go wrong with broccoli slaw.
I’m so curious to know what’s in that drink of yours!!
Green tea soy latte with a shot of espresso and sugar free vanilla syrup. My favorite Starbuck’s drink ever!
Just takes awhile to order. Ha!
i’m coming shopping with you next time. Love all the good eats. and of course i love seeing you with BOB!
Please do! We’d have so much fun shopping together!
The Coffee: 1 shot, sugar free vanilla soy green tea latte. Is that correct cause if it is I might have to try it. But the one shot throws me. Coffee in a green tea latte? Is that correct? While I am no stranger to a complex starbucks order, I want to get it right!
I love how this is my first comment on your blog. But the food looks amazing, and Bob is amazing, and now I am going to stalk the rest of your blog so I can learn to have an amazing body like yours too! (creepy blog prowler? yes?)
Monica- YES!!! The shot is a little weird, but oh so good. You have to try it! Have fun stalking- my poor blog is a little unorganized. Ugh.
A one-on-one?!?! Girllllll… you are amazing! How are you going to keep your cool for that?
Can’t wait to see how you like the hemp seeds – they’ve been on my list to try for way too long.
I don’t quite know what to do with those hemp seeds yet.
Oh… and if I really do get a one on one I have no idea how I’m going to keep my cool. Holy Moly.
Yay! Another workout with Bob – so cool! And of course you were his superstar advanced girl – I bet you’re the best person at each of these video shoots. Very exciting he wants to do an individual session with you! I must say I’m impressed that you kept your cool when he said that to you.
6 hours in LA traffic in one day? I’m surprised you didn’t show a photo of the giant bottle of wine you deserved to drink last night…but, traffic schmaffic when you get to do something you love with Bob.
Oh wine- why didn’t I do that? Yeah, I guess 6 hours of traffic, a huge gas bill and a sore butt from sitting in the car so long is worth it. Andrew might not agree though.
Of course you’re the advanced girl!
I wanted to watch Bent but I couldn’t stay up…till 9..
Sara- Bent was soooo good! I loved it! I always think of you when I’m at my Bob workouts (like I want to tell you everything that’s happening).
Broccoli Slaw with BBQ sauce looks amazing! Thanks for the recipe!
Oh Madison- it IS!!!!
How cool, that would be such an awesome experience! I hope you get chosen to work one-on-one with Bob! I completely agree that those 100 cal packs are janky, yuck! And that brocc slaw is my fave, so good! I’m going to take a wild guess at your drink! A green tea iced latte with skim milk and 1 pump sugar free vanilla syrup?
Lisa- so close on the drink. Just missing soy milk and a shot of espresso in there.
Single Iced Venti Sugar Free Vanilla Soy Green Tea Latte
After 6 years of being a Starbucks barista
I better know that order!
Okay Becca- you ROCK!!!! Are you still a barista? What’s your favorite?
Kristen I am still a barista at Purdue University in West Lafayette Indiana. I graduate from school in December (finally) and I hopefully will leave my barista skills behind me. I am however THE master at making super yummy low calorie drinks, but at this point in my life I know longer consume most of Starbucks products. Some of my favorites I drink now:
1. Soy Mistos
2. Iced Coffee with Soy
But before I gave up artificial sweeteners I use to LOVE:
1. Ice Awake Tea Lattes with sugar free vanilla (instead of classic) and soy
2. (Hot) Awake Tea Lattes with sugar free vanilla (instead of classic) and soy
3. “The Becca”
Grande Soy Misto with 3 pump sugar free cinnamon dolce, 2 pump sugar free vanilla, no foam, stirred, with cinnamon powder.
4. Soy Mistos with sugar free vanilla
5. “Almond Enjoy”
Grande Soy Misto with 2 pump sugar free vanilla, 1 sugar free mocha, 1 coconut
Enjoy
Oh… I would like to try all of these like NOW.
Love that one is named after you.
I wonder what looks I would get if I ordered “The Becca” here in CA. That “Almond Enjoy”….. oh man. Thanks for all the ideas!
I won?! Alright!!
Looks like a great day with Bob! What an excellent opportunity.
Yay! Yes you did! Will email you back soon!
Happy Friday Jenny!
I can see you now talking to Bob about a personal session. Stop hogging him!
BBQ broccoli slaw has me written all over it! YUM! I hope you are having a great week. I’ve been crazy swamped and I’m hoping to catch up with you soon! Miss you! xoxo
Can’t wait to catch up Sarena.
WHOA…You and B-Harp ONE-ON-ONE?! Crazy! What an awesome experience!
The experience sounded great – I love that – and way to be the advanced girl! I’m not surprised.
And YUM to your recipe – maybe I’ll give it a go this weekend. What a fun-filled, jam-packed post! Have a great weekend, friend!
Hope you have a good weekend too busy lady!
Hope we can catch up soon!
