Just in case you’re wondering, we have a new version of protein cookie dough in the works over here that involves canned pumpkin.
It may not look that great, but it’s the taste that matters, right?
Also, in case you’re wondering, that Broccoli Slaw BBQ Bake from yesterday’s post can be made Italian style by seasoning it with garlic, garlic salt, dried oregano, dried basil, Italian seasoning and crushed red pepper. It can also be done with tempeh instead of chicken and roasted the same amount of time (375 convection or 400 regular for 15-20 minutes).
Then topped with some marinara.
Oh yes. It was fabulous. (Although nothing you haven’t already seen on here before.)
I used this Trader Joe’s Organic Spaghetti sauce with Mushrooms this time though.
Changing it up.

And, just in case you’re wondering, Flat Kitty has been laying low the past couple of weeks and is ready for some action.
As of late he really likes to be pictured next to unsuspecting people or pets (or in front of reality TV shows).
Also, just in case you’re wondering, thanks to this suggestion from Megan,
Flat Kitty really likes to dance behind people.
I think Megan’s idea is genius, yet I didn’t quite have the best video success.
Here is my weak attempt that I shot tonight after getting home exhausted and sweaty from the gym. At least it gets the point across and is good for a laugh.

(Listen to Andrew at the end. He wasn’t going to let it happen. Ha ha!)
So, if you’re in, you can submit your videos or pictures to me for next week. Whatever you want- Flat Kitty dancing or hanging out by some unsuspecting people or pets.
Hopefully I can put together a funny post for next week’s Flat Kitty Friday.
Email me at stuftmama@stuftfitness.com if you need a Flat Kitty and I’ll send one your way.
Lastly, just in case you’re wondering where I am this weekend, I’ll be doing my best to start (yes, start) on our taxes, changing all my wallflowers (hand soaps, lotions, candles, etc.) to spring scents, teaching boot camp, running the Hot Chocolate 15K Sunday and trying to give the majority of my time and attention to these guys.
These guys, by the way, had a very successful first trip to Starbucks today without being in the stroller. I was a little worried what might happen with just the three of us in there. Thank goodness they were on their best behavior.
Just in case you’re wondering, I ordered the same drink as yesterday.
He he.

Have a great weekend!

I so so so need to come visit you.
#alasthatisall
Yes, yes you do. You need to teach me your ways.
Have a great weekend Kristen! I hope the taxes (ugh) go smoothly and you can soak up all the time you can w/the boys. The hot chocolate 15k sounds like fun, I am sure you will rock it, as usual!
Your boys are so well behaved–I can just picture them each going in a seperate direction. Last time I went to Target and let Addy (my 2 year old) out of the cart–it took me, my mom and my sister to keep an eye on the little bugger;-)
Thanks Becky.
Oh no- three people to keep an eye on Addy. That’s funny. Don’t be fooled. My boys are not that well behaved all the time. Ha.
Flat Kitty dancing is awesome! Great idea.
Congrats to the good Starbucks behavior. Juice boxes were always key for my behavior, says my mom. Funny, because now morning coffee is the key.
Happy Friday!
Those darn juice boxes better be good for something since they are expensive. Ha! Um, yes, I’m with you. Morning coffee is the key here too.
No coffee- no good behavior. Ha!
good luck on your race, friend!! But more importantly, finding happiness with those little guys! You’re doing an amazing job!
Thanks Lindsay. It’s a daily struggle, that’s for sure. I hope you have a great weekend too friend!
Can’t wait for the recipe. I’m on a huge pumpkin kick recently (it’s on sale at Stop and Shop!)
Sounds like you a have a busy, but exciting, weekend ahead of you. Enjoy!
I go through pumpkin kicks a lot too Jenny.
What is the Stop and Shop?
It sounds like my kind of store.
bought some broccoli slaw on sale last week and thought of you
Yay for broccoli slaw. I should buy some stock in that stuff!
I need to buy some broccoli slaw! The past few times I’ve gone, they’ve been out of it….so sad. I want to try roasting it
. Hope you have a great weekend!
Out of broccoli slaw? Oh, that’s happened to me before too and it WASN’T pretty. Happy Friday!
yum on the pumpkin recipe, I tried the protein cookie dough for the first time the other week and LOVED it! — Also…I am just imagining putting “I’m Sexy and I know It” song on while you and flat kitty are dancing. HAHA makes me crack up laughing!
I sing that song on my head when I dance.
Have a great weekend and an awesome race! We need to start our taxes soon too – argh! But there always seems to be something better to do, right?
Also, my newest hot sauce obsession (I honestly never thought I would say that!) is the Franks sweet heat BBQ, which I think would be fabulous on your broccoli slaw
I haven’t seen that sauce Jenny, but you are so right. I bet it would be fabulous on broccoli slaw. YUM! Thanks for telling me about it! Hope pregnancy is treating you well.
you’re going to taunt us with a delicious new version of your protein cookie dough and then not even give us the recipe?!?! ahhh what am i going to do with you??
just kidding. in all seriousness though, can’t wait to see what it’s all about! have a great friday!
I know Ashley. There’s a video that goes along with it though so I wasn’t ready to post it yet.
Hope you’re Friday is going well too!
Oh, I did the protein cookie with pumpkin last week. Pretty freaking fantastic! I love your expressions while flat kitty dances. I think the next flat kitty adventure should be Kristen makes faces while flat kitty looks disgusted.
I love the boys Muppet attire.
Canned pumpkin is for every recipe.
Ellen’s dance dare is currently my favorite segment. Some of them are sooo hilarious.
Oh thanks. If it were up to me they’d wear Muppets every day.
I thought of you when I went to get into my huge pumpkin stash.
I know you have one too! Oh Ellen’s dance dares- sooooo funny!
I bought broccoli slaw the other day and thought of you. I plan on making your exact version tonight, with the tempeh and marinara while the rest of my family eats homemade pizza. I’m pretty excited about it! Have a great weekend!
Oh let me know how it goes. I can’t get enough of the stuff.
You have a great weekend as well Candy!
haha I love that video and as always, the pictures of the boys! Your family is precious. Have a great weekend!
I LOVE their t-shirts! Too cute! I haven’t started my taxes yet either. We were supposed to have Tony’s sister and her family here for the weekend, but they had to cancel. Maybe that is a sign that I need to get off my bum and get them going? I hope you have an incredible weekend my friend! xoxo
If you start your taxes, I’ll start mine.
I should be doing them right now in fact.
Ha! Hope you have a great weekend also.
Mmm, that protein cookie dough sounds delicious. I love pumpkin. Okay, I keep saying I’m gonna get a pic with flat kitty… I’m really gonna try this weekend!
Whenever Laura. Only if you want ot or have fun with it. I just do it because it’s fun!
Have a great weekend!
I can just imagine what was going through the boys mind as they looked at the water.
“That sure looks like it would be messy and fun!”
“Let’s freak Mommy out and fall in!”
Enjoy yourself this weekend!
Oh I know, everytime we go to that spot I get nervous. We haven’t had a close call yet.
I just want to say that I’m looking forward to the new protein cookie dough recipe! : )
