It’s About Technogel Time- Giveaway

It’s About Technogel Time- Giveaway

Okay friends. Enough teasing, right?

I made you read and look at all the pictures from my extra special workout with Bob yesterday, so it’s about darn time I tell you about the item that has changed my life over the past two weeks.

I’m going to try my best to make this short and sweet. I mean, really sweet because you’re going to get a chance to win one of these. Oh yes. This is the best giveaway I’ve done on the blog and I’ve been so excited to share.

Exactly two weeks ago I got this amazing pillow from Technogel.

I was selected to review this pillow as a FitFluential Ambassador. It just so happened to be perfect timing as my pillow I was sleeping on had no padding left in it at all. Let me also just say that I am super picky about pillows. They can’t be too flat or too puffy. (I also have to have my left hand under my pillow with my palm up at all times. That’s beside the point though.)

When deciding what pillow I wanted, I made sure to read all the product descriptions (you can find them here) because I didn’t want to choose the wrong one. I went with the anatomic one based on a recommendation and the fact that the description says it’s good for people who sleep in their side. Yep, that’s me, a side sleeper.

This pillow…. oh this pillow.

“Redefining pillows” is no joke.

You can read all about the specific construction and mechanics about the pillow here. To lay it all out for you, this pillow has a special Technogel comfort layer and memory foam.

The Technogel not only helps with the comfort and adjusting to an individual’s shape, but it keeps the pillow cool by dispersing heat. Awesome, right?

I was like a little kid at Christmas taking this little gem out of the box (and not letting anyone lay a finger on it).

I was very careful transporting it from the outdoor photo session to my bed.

It also may or may not have been a coincidence that I decided to unveil the pillow the one night STUFT Daddy was out of town.

I just couldn’t wait to get my head on it.

My particular pillow  (the anatomic model) is contour in the middle so my head seems to fit just right. I wasn’t sure at first since the pillow seems so much heavier than what I was used to and it was definitely cool on the side of my head which took a couple nights to really appreciate.

I really think this pillow has not only done wonders for my sleep, but for my neck also.

I’m also going to give it credit for getting my PR at the Hot Chocolate race the other week. That was after only 2 nights of sleeping with this guy. Wait, that doesn’t sound right does it?

I even went out and bought it a little something.

After a week of sleeping on it I knew it was going to stay and needed a special “only mama can touch this” cover.

Obviously I don’t iron. I did, however, wash the cover after I took this picture.

Okay, enough of my blabbing, here’s your chance. Before I tell you how to enter the giveaway, I need to tell you that when I looked up tis pillow online it retails for $169.99.

Um, yes. LOVE this pillow.

One winner will get to select one of any of the styles of Technogel pillows (including the travel pillow).

All you have to do to enter is leave me a comment here telling me one of the following: what position you sleep in, if you’re a heavy or a light sleeper or how much sleep you usually get a night.

You can have one additional entry by tweeting the following and leaving me a comment telling me that you did:

I want to win one of those amazing @Techogel pillows from @stuftmama. http://stuftmama.com/2012/04/06/its-about-technogel-time-giveaway/  #technogel

Oh happy day (or night if you get to rest your head on this pillow).

This giveaway will be open until next Tuesday, April 10th at 8:00PM PST.

I just might get my first ever comment from STUFT Daddy on this one since he’s extremely jealous of my pillow and I’m not willing to share.

Have a good one!

    Angie says:

I am a side sleeper as well. Most of the time I, too, sleep with my left hand under the pillow. Sometimes though I cross my left arm over my chest and rest my hand on my right shoulder. Sounds like a contortionist, right? I have such difficulty with my pillows. I have bone spurs in my neck and without a good pillow I wake up every morning with extreme pain and stiffness in my neck. I wind up buying a new pillow every few months. This pillow sounds amazing!

  32. 32
    Kelsey says:

I usually sleep on my side, with a pillow between my legs to help with keeping the spine straight! Im a pretty light sleeper…I usually wake up to my dog having bad dreams or the fact that his face is resting on my bed looking at me and waiting for me to wake up and let him out! (so cute when he does this BTW) I try to get 7-8 hours of sleep, but lately i’ve only been getting 6-7 (due to going to the gym for 2 hours after work then having to cook when I come home) Takes ambition and determination to get the goals you want in life!! 🙂

I joke about being a narcoleptic, but was tested for it and am clinically a narcoleptic. I control it with rest diet and exercise – not meds. I require 9 – 11 hours most nights – it can get scary if I go too long without my needed sleep;). I am a HEAVY sleeper. So, while the pillow sounds amazing, I have been known to sleep in some pretty weird places with no pillow or nothing that even resembles a pillow under my head. Oh – I could tell you some pretty funny stories from before I was tested – haha!!

Oh man, sleep and I are best friends. And I have been griping about my flat, worn out pillow for months now, but just haven’t gotten off my duff for a new one.

I sleep 8 hours a night, and I work really hard to make sure I get my butt to bed to do it! I mostly sleep on my stomach (with my head facing left, RIGHT WILL NEVER DO) with one foot sticking out of the covers to regulate body temperature. My husband mocks me for that, but what does he know?

    Run Nai Run says:

What an amazing giveaway! Thank you! And some of us are loving the Team Bob updates!! I am a side sleeper, also with my left hand palm up under the pillow…and I “perch” on the edge of the bed so a foot can be out of the covers! I sleep four to five hours a night, and I wake a couple times. Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

    Chelsey says:

This pillow looks amazing!! Thank you for the awesome chance to win it. I am a side sleeper, and unfortunately have become a light sleeper. I used to be the girl who slept through thunderstorms, and now I wake up to the slightest noise! Getting old is a bummer, haha. I aim to get 8-9 hours of sleep, but lately has been closer to 7, with occasional wake-ups to let the puppy outside. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your restful sleep!

  71. 71

Very exciting. I love your non-ironed cover 🙂
I sleep on my side, I am the lightest sleeper ever and I get 8-9 hours a night. I need that to function. I have no idea how people function on less. Since I’m a really terrible sleeper I make sure to stay in bed at least 8 hours even if I’m not sound asleep so at least I’m resting.
I am SO picky about pillows. I’ve had the same one for the past ten years so I should probably try a new one!

    Carolyn says:

I’m a side/stomach sleeper and thanks to my three boys I am now a fairly light sleeper. I am lucky to get 6 hours a night but I do so much better if I can get at least 8 hours (this rarely happens since my baby is still not consistently sleeping through the night). These pillows look amazing. Mine are pitiful!

  87. 87

I’m a side sleeper who doesn’t hear a thing at night (excellent since my the hubby is the one who has to get up with the kids, then!) and gets about 7-8 hours of sleep a night. I really would love this pillow. My neck is always a mess in the morning no matter what pillow I have. Maybe this could be my dream come true?

Thanks for the chance to win!!

  91. 91

    Kris says:

oh my GAAH I was reading along, not knowing it was a giveaway, thinking I need to buy one of these for Jason, and one for myself. (we have the tempurpedic pillows that we got with our bed, but J complains it is too warm – this would be PERFECT for him).

I sleep on my right side, with Basil curled up in the bend of my knee. 🙂 I am a pretty regular/heavy sleeper, once I get there that is! and I am good with 6.5 hours of sleep, much more and I wake up tired.

I switch up sleeping positions all night long. Side, back, stomach…I’m a mover. I’m a medium sleeper. I sleep about 9-10 hours a night. Any less and I’m cranky all day. I’m lucky, my 3 year old is the same way. She sleeps 12-14 hours a night 🙂

    Jen says:

I’m typically a back or side sleeper and was reminded of that this morning when my right shoulder was sore this morning from sleeping on it. As far as type of sleeper, I can be a heavy sleeper when I’m extremely tired, I usually only hear my alarm go off in the AM and not any bumps in the night. I try to get about 7 hours of sleep (yes I miss out on a lot doing this), otherwise I tend to be tired and want to eat all day 🙂
I hope I win, thanks for the giveaway!

My April goal has been to get more sleep – at least 7 hours per night. I have, in the past (last week), been content with 4-6. YIKES!! I am a fairly light sleeper who side sleeps usually – ready to jump out of bed if a kiddo needs me. I have had almost a weeks worth of 7 hour sleeps though. I am getting better!

I sleep on my side, which side depends on which way my husband is facing. I am a light sleeper, as a mom of 5 ( child #4 & #5 were twins….surprise!!!) I became a light sleeper just to be ready if a child needed me, now that they are all in their teens..I continue to sleep light, I guess I will deep sleep when they are all grown but I doubt it….lol….However, I am up to 5-6 hours sleep so that has improved 🙂
    I really enjoy your blogs!!!!

    Jeni says:

I sleep on my left side and not for nearly long enough! If I get a solid 5 hours a night I’m basically thrilled. My neck is all outta whack and I get headaches like crazy. I think your Wonder Pillow may be just what I need! And Lord knows, as a new runner, I need all the good mojo I can get. Fingers crossed!

  180. 180

I manage to get atleast 6 hours of sleep every night no matter what, I fortunately dont need much more to function.

  181. 181

I try to sleep on my back, but always end up on my SIDE; it’s the only way I can fall asleep! Once I’m out, I’m a deep sleeper, although I tend to wake up in the night on my own. I usually get 7-8 hours of sleep, because I prioritize it. Thanks for sharing this pillow with us!

    Alexandra says:

    I tweeted!

  186. 186

I sleep on my back. I used to also side sleep, but since I herniated my lower back, I’m most comfy on my back. I’m definitely a light sleeper. ANYTHING can and has woke me up. This can prove to be troubling because I HAVE to have my sleep. It really affects me when I can’t get my 7-8 hours a night. I REALLY need a good pillow right now because I have a lot of trouble with sleeping lately and it’s affecting not only my running, but my energy levels in general. I wish I could afford to get a temperpedic bed or something. Ha, maybe one day.

I’m a side sleeper too! I used to be a really heavy sleeper – I slept through a mini earthquake in San Fran once… lol! As I’ve gotten older though, my sleep superpowers have diminished 🙁

I’ve tweeted about the giveaway too, this pillow sounds too good to miss out on!

  189. 189
    Jessica says:

My sleeping position requires one awkward leg to be stretched over half of the bed. My boyfriend calls it “the dead leg sleep”. He doesn’t approve. Haha. But I always get 7 hours a night so that I can get up to workout in the AM! I’m also retweeting you @jessicatonesup

  190. 190

Usually I sleep on my right, but now that I’m pregnant, I’m back to left! Or my back…but mostly back =) I try to get about 7 hours of sleep a night, but of course, this is totally dependent on the little guy =)
