I have a problem.
I burn things.
Not just occasionally either. I burn things pretty much on a daily basis.
Just now in fact, as I was trying to get this post together I burned my espresso.
I didn’t even know that was possible. That should be fun to clean, yes?
Yesterday for lunch I got lucky and only slightly burned my kale chips.
Here’s what I used to spice them up (just in case you want to know).
They were accompanied by a ginormous turkey sandwich wrap which had this new Costco find in it (again, just in case you want to know).
Then last night I really burned my roasted sweet potatoes.
I was so upset and tired that when STUFT Daddy tried to make a joke I couldn’t even laugh. In fact I’m pretty sure I bit his head off. Sorry STUFT Daddy. However, I’m never too upset to take a few pictures.
Not only do I burn things, but 99% of the time I’m so mad and tired that I eat it anyway.
This sweet potato mess and roasted broccoli slaw with tempeh needed some serious doctoring up. I used some low fat ranch and TATS BBQ sauce.
(That was me last night eating my burnt mess while watching Dancing with the Stars at 10 pm).
I attempted to get that burnt taste out of my mouth with this sweet quinoa dessert.
In the bowl- cooked roasted quinoa (that I had frozen), a little soymilk, some PB2, a scoop of Nuttzo, a scoop of Artisana Cocoa Bliss, a little brown sugar and a couple Trader Joe’s unsweetened chocolate baking discs. (Could I put anything else in that bowl?)
Okay, enough of my burning problem. I don’t think it’s going away any time soon. I try to get too many things done in the time between when I put things in the oven and when I actually take them out. Maybe I should try using a timer- now there’s a thought.
Let’s talk abs.
Burning things isn’t my only problem. I also have a serious case of diastasis which I tell myself every week I’m going to work on, but life happens (so do taxes) and the weeks keep flying by. I have to be very careful with the abdominal moves that I do and I try to stay away from too much rotating and twisting.
Here are two moves I taped for you. They’re my current favorites that I keep using in my classes. The second move does entail some rotation, so if you have diastasis be very careful. I usually stick with just the first version myself.
I thought we needed a change of scenery.
It only takes about a minute for the boys to grab the camera.
I shouldn’t wear a hat and glasses when I tape videos. It seems like I’m trying to hide.
For those of you who need a little challenge, here you go.
If I’m going to see you at Strollerwise today, get ready for this. Ha!
Okay friends. I’m out.
Oh wait. I have a Flat Kitty Friday theme for the week.
If you want to link up (or just play for fun), take a picture of Flat Kitty with your one of your favorite breakfasts.
Email your picture to firstname.lastname@example.org or post it on my Facebook page and I’ll put it in Friday’s post.
Email me if you
need want are willing to accept a Flat Kitty (if you don’t already have one that is).
Have a good one.
