He’s Back

He’s Back

STUFT Daddy had been gone ALL week. If things were a little quiet over here, that was why. He was on his way out of town while we were all on our way to the race last weekend. I’m just going to say that it was a little rough all on my own for five days. Especially with the whole new crib escape thing and all.

Things that went down while he was away:

I had to take care of all the animals. I only had two three minor tragedies.

None of the closets I had planned on cleaning were touched (either was the messy office).

We ran out of cat food, overnight diapers and baby wipes.

We only opted for take out one night when I got desperate.

I was woken up every single morning before my alarm went off.

(I really miss those two hours of quiet in the morning.)

We even had a fun lunch date yesterday with Grandma D.

I proved once again that I can make one ginormous salad.

I was also that girl who brought my own low calorie dressing.

Last night STUFT Daddy made it home safe and sound.

He even brought some special presents.

I didn’t get a hat. I got some cute earrings.

We were so excited that STUFT Daddy was home, we (Kitty and I) tried a little cauliflower tempeh pizza crust experiment (at 10 pm).

It wasn’t too shabby, but didn’t hold together very well. The taste was good though. It’s a good thing I have a little cauliflower to try it again. Ha ha.

I doctored it up a bit and had it with my leftover cheese less veggie pizza slice.

I have the day off from my normal Friday PE teaching job.

Today is our day to hang out as a family.

I’m so excited.

I feel like we’re going to Disneyland when really we’re just going to breakfast. I’m also hoping I can convince STUFT Daddy to go to Costco with us afterwards.

Welcome home.

He he!

My friend Sara told me awhile back to take some time to smell the roses.

That’s exactly what we’ll be doing today.

Hope you get to do the same this weekend.

If you want to send me some Flat Kitty pictures of something fun you did this weekend I’ll put a little Flat Kitty weekend adventure post together. He’s been feeling a little left out lately.

Let me know if you need one and I can send one your way.

A lot of my friends are all at the BLEND retreat. I’m sad I won’t be meeting all of them, but I’ve got another little race Sunday. Maybe I can beg them to let Flat Kitty make an appearance. Ha ha.

Have a good one!
