Fitness Friday- Mama’s Booty Workout

Good morning friends!

Well,  we finally made a video for you. Man it’s been a long time. I’m going to pretend that you missed us and our working out videos okay? He he.

Since I had a few requests for some booty moves, I put some of my favorite body weight ones together for this little calorie blaster. They’ll not only target your booty, but hopefully kick your booty a bit in about 10 minutes.

I do the whole workout with you here rather than just showing you the moves. (You know, because it’s more fun to workout with someone.)

There isn’t a warm-up included, so it’s best to warm up a little on your own before doing this workout.

You don’t need anything, just comfortable clothes, a little room to move and athletic shoes (toddlers causing a commotion in the background are optional).

Let’s do this, yes?

Video Notes:

Yes, the boys picked these moves out for you.

They do their best to demonstrate the moves with me at the beginning.

My “tripod” is an old bar stool.

We have a couple close calls with the darn fireplace shovel.

I even time all the moves for you. You’re welcome.

If you get sick of seeing me, at least the boys provide a little entertainment throughout the video.

Our Mother’s Day gift to you.

Not that you care, but here’s what I’m wearing in the video:

Lululemon top (padded with my extra Handful bra inserts- keeping it real)

Halo hairband

old (and I mean old- I wore them throughout my pregnancy) Aspire workout shorts

Nike shoes (I don’t know the style, but I did just order a new pair of training shoes yesterday)

And well, I don’t like publishing a post with just one picture, so here’s a couple more random ones for you.

Again, you’re welcome.

Yesterday I made some cinnamon crunch kale chips (made just like Flatout cinnamon crisps).

They weren’t that great and were stuck in my teeth for hours. Don’t try them at home.

Dinner last night.

photo

Roasted broccoli slaw with Costco rotisserie chicken, marinara and fresh basil. Served with a cheese less sandwich. (Side note- I definitely smell like basil this morning. Weird. Does that happen to anyone else?)

For dessert I topped my Chocolate Mint Vitatop with STUFT Dark Chocolate Sauce (only used 1 tablespoon sugar free maple syrup and a little less soymilk so it was more like a frosting) then topped it with those darn expired sprinkles

and my messed up ice cream that did not turn out well. It was a little too icy. One of these days I’ll get it right.

Oh and….. my friend Beth gave my the coolest present ever last night at my step interval class.

Check this sucker out. A glass straw. Freaking awesome. Awhile back Beth also gave me the smallest fork ever (that I have since lost somewhere).

I’m putting my new straw to good use this morning in my mocha.

It makes me feel cool.

Today’s Torani sugar free syrup flavor that made it in my mocha is almond (my favorite).

And…..

we’re out.

I’ve got work and a long run on the schedule today, then a little birthday party for my bro. So I’m pretty much going to be thinking about food the entire 20 mile run. Ha.

Have a good one!

Loved the video! I got a kick out of the boys performing the moves on the side and then gracefully falling down, haha. I’m visiting home for a few days and am without weights so this would be a perfect workout to do while I’m here. I bookmarked it!

Man I love that you posted this video – I have four kids and anything I do in life is punctuated by “stop that please” or “where are you going, come back here” or “stop hurting your sister”. I don’t even notice I do it half the time.

Meanwhile I will do this workout later. Much as it will really really hurt.
