I’ll Trade You- Advice, an Outfit and Second Chance Mizuno Giveaway

Well hello friends.

Want to hear about my genius move from yesterday?

OK. Fine. Twist my T. rex arm.

Ha.

I was at the Y last night after teaching 4 classes in a row and was chatting with a friend afterwards showing her what burpees were and someone asked if I was supposed to sub the class down the hall because there wasn’t an instructor there.

Say what?

Why, yes, yes I was supposed to be teaching that class and totally forgot about it. I’m such a winner sometimes.

I hustled my tush in there and gave them a hard strength training workout to make up for it. I’m sure they’re really loving my this fine morning.

Ha ha.

I won’t go through all my classes I taught yesterday, but I will tell you after that long run Sunday and a full day teaching yesterday I’ve been sporting my compression socks and applying some serious BioFreeze the past 12 hours.

And gosh darn it, my stinking night time “office hours”

(that looked a little something like this)

IMG_1769IMG_1772IMG_1774

went way too late last night trying to figure out travel plans for the San Francisco Marathon. Friends, I don’t know if we’re going to make it. I’m trying to use all our reward points, but San Fran is one heck of an expensive place. Eeek….

I think we can pull it off, but will it be worth it?

Darn it. I’m so confused. Do we go for it? I can’t pass up an opportunity to run a marathon for free can I?

If you’ve got some advice I’ll take it.

Maybe we can do some trading.

I’ll trade you some cookies and cream protein dough for a couple hours of sleep and some advice.

IMG_1631

(Note- The recipe on the original post has been edited. I didn’t have the correct amount of oats. Thank you Tracey for finding that.)

Better yet, I’ll trade you a Flat Kitty and some doughtzel balls for a Southwest flight to San Francisco.

Now that’s one heck of a deal, isn’t it?

Ha ha.

If only I could find a sponsor…

Speaking of trading, the first day of the IDEA World Fitness Conference I traded in going to the opening ceremonies to politely let myself into the fancy schmancy Marriott gym.

I decided to go for a little treadmill run while I had a chunk of time between sessions.

IMG_3124

Then I hung out in the nice Marriott locker room for at least 20 minutes attempting to look presentable so I could try to make some new friends at the expo.

IMG_3126

This was the best I could do.

IMG_3128

Oh yeah, I filed my nails while I was in there too. Classy.

We had to wait a bit for the expo to open so I of course took advantage to take some pictures of my sweaty face.

IMG_3131

My new friend (pictured above) offered to take my picture for me. What a guy. I didn’t even have to ask.

IMG_3132IMG_3133

Oh and that’s my Flatout wrap snack I shoveled in my mouth in less than 20 seconds with Smart Balance Light, a Splenda packet and some cinnamon. It was juts enough to tide me over until I could get my hands on some free samples. Ha ha.

IMG_3134

I didn’t get very far inside the expo when I realized everyone else was cute and clean and I was pretty disgusting.

IMG_3140

Then I saw these.

IMG_3136

The cutest Lorna Jane workout clothes ever.

IMG_3139

Lorna was there too. I chatted her up of course and she was so nice and fun. I fell in love with her clothes. Since my outfit was already way too sweaty to be wearing around and trying to impress people and I conveniently forgot a change of clothes, I decided I needed a new one (so I could try to be cute like Lorna).

IMG_3141

Um yeah. I hightailed it to the bathroom pretty darn quickly for a wardrobe change.

Before                                                            After

IMG_3144IMG_3145

And why yes, I was totally that girl who went back to show off my new outfit and take a picture with Lorna Jane herself.

IMG_3166

How cute is she?

IMG_3167

And how cute are her clothes?

Smile

Anyhoo……

Since we’re talking fitness gear and running and all……

Here’s the big trade.

Ready?

Instead of boring you with more IDEA dumps and workout talk at the moment,

I’m going to trade you my babbling for another chance to win an invite into The Mezamashii Run Project.

That’s right.

Another invitation.

Holy smokes friends.

We’ve got to act fast though because the invitation expires on July 15th.

I’m not going to rewrite all my Mizuno love again, but check out my original Mizuno Mezamashii Run Project Giveaway post for all the details about this amazing campaign.

Yes, I LOVE my Mizunos.

IMG_1577

IMG_1582

You’ve seen that before, but it’s a heart for love.

No, I’m not stalking you for the chance at another opportunity for a sweet pair of shoes. 😉

What would I do with a brand spankin’ new pair of Mizunos? Run, Run, Run and run some more, of course. I have a bunch of races coming up this fall and I’m in need of another pair of Mizunos. No other brand will do. Must be Mizunos.

This time I am crossing my fingers, toes and eyes even if it does look funny.

Oh and Flat Kitty…If it’s your paw that’s hitting the Random.Org button…there’s cat nip in the mail. haha J/K Well…unless I’m the lucky chosen one. 😉

I would use my shiny new Mizunos to train for my very first 10K, Run for the Hills which benefits the breast cancer group Beyond Boobs. We’re encouraged to wear a blinged out bra so clearly I need snazzy shoes to match!

First of all I think you should do the marathon. Speaking from someone who lives on a starting teacher budget I know money can be a stress but life is about experiences and sometimes those are worth the money! (And I wish I had airline miles to share with you!)

Running to me started out as a way to stay in shape after being a softball player for 17 years. Now it has become a way of life and part of who I am. I am training for my 4th marathon (this time the right way and am hoping to run a sub 4 hr) with a training group and I am learning so much about myself as a runner and the power of running with other people. I would use my new shoes to train for my race (Leavenworth Marathon in Oct)!

    Christine says:

I would of course run and run and run some more. I run because i love the feeling you get after a nice long run and I feel like i can keep on going. Running makes me feel better about myself and I know that it keeps me healthy and strong.

I would love to try running Brilliant! I’d take mine to the beach, to the trails and on the streets to see what brilliant running is really all about! I’ve honestly been wanting to try Mizunos for a while – hope I win. Good luck in SF!

First off, I love your blog! Running is my “me” time, and the time during the day I get to better my self . With a 13 week old little girl and very energetic 2 yr old boy, it gives me a chance to think, become more confident as a young mom and worman, and feel more energized! I would love a new pair of Mizunos to log my miles in! After all every mom wants to be the “cool” mom with the amazing running shoes to sport around!

I’m training for my second half marathon right now and I’m definitely in need of some new shoes. I think a brand new pair of Mizuno shoes would give me the extra motivation to kick my training up a notch! I’ve lost over 90 lbs so far, largely due to running, so to me running means taking control of my life and only looking back to enjoy how far I’ve come!

Why don’t you just drive to SF Marathon? lots of pit stops along the way for the little ones.
And I tried to see if I could transfer my 3,800 points to you, but they will not allow it. sorry. i tried. since I probably won’t use them before Oct of this year.

IDEA: you didn’t meet up with Alexandra and Kymberly from FunandFit.org? They are crazy girls.

Mizunos: hello. found love of running. need to start running shoe obsession. and to take them out on Saturdays with the running group clan.

    Allyson Lyon says:

I struggled with running for so long because I couldn’t find the right shoe. Despite going to stores and having them try to fit me every time I ran I ended up with blisters on my ankles. I wore vibrams for a while and those helped but I couldn’t do more than 4 miles in them without pretty nasty pain. Due to training for a half this posed a problem so I went to another running store that could provide me with some gait analysis. They brought out a few pair of shoes but handed me the mizuno first and said that they thought that from everything I had told them about how I run and also from my complaints about previous shoes that these would be a good fit. As soon as I put them on it was as if my feet were singing. I could tell instantly that they fit “right”. These shoes are the only reason I was able to run my half uninjured. Currently I am training for a full Mary and I was told to get another pair of shoes and break those in as well because I’ll be putting so many miles on my shoes. As you can imagine I want to do that of course but with 6 kids and a 115 dollar price tag sometimes my needs/wants aren’t always a first priority. THIS is what I would use these shoes for. It would make that additional worry go away. I’m a mizuno runner for life. 🙂

    Sheena says:

I’ve been longing for trail shoes, so this would be perfect! I’d take those suckers through the roughest that nature has to offer (don’t worry, I’ll also be bringing band-aids for my accident prone self)

OK…who wouldn’t want to win a pair of Mizuno shoes?? Free SHOES?? FREE MIZUNOS!! It’s all good….love running and run/walking that I have been doing til I am all healthy to let loose again. 😉

OH yea, and GO TO THE MARATHON!!! If you die in a month you will be sooo happy you did!! (Yes, that is the way I look at things some times….and it totally works!) Now make your reservation and go ….

Next I would begin my new journey..rain or shine. I am not going to lie I would put them through some long rough miles and at times the terrain wouldnt be very pretty, I may even soak them in sweat and tears..Have I mentioned that I am the mommy to three wonderful daughters, ages 2,4 and 5?…So yes I need some run time to figure out life and at times just see the beauty that others who don’t make the journey do not get to see.

    Ashley says:

Awesome there is another chance! I run for my health. I have never felt healthier and happier since I started running and i don’t eve want to let that feeling go. I also like to run because it helps encourage others that they can do it as well! Its a win-win to me!

  58. 58

Even though I don’t run a ton (although I might with these shoes) running means strength to me. Compared to not that long ago when I was in my eating disorder, I can now run knowing my legs will continue to support me, cardio is not going to make me lose (unhealthy) weight, I’m not running to burn calories, and I have the RIGHT to be running now. No one is looking at me and thinking “That skinny sick girl should not be running”. Wow, randomly got pretty serious here. Thanks a lot Kristin! :p

I have run exclusively in Mizunos for over 14 years, and I will be running in them in 14 more. I would love to be a part of the Mizuno project. Plus, I figure that I’ve given Mizuno thousands of dollars over the years so a free pair of shoes would be great, too. I will never stray from Mizuno. Oh and Go to the Marathon in SF! It’s FREE! I know getting there is not, and I agree SF is expensive but I’m sure you can work it out. Recently being diagnosed with Celiac Disease I plan on moving mountains in my new Mizunos. My main goal is to get my health back on track and improve my pace. Running is a gift and I am blessed with a body that is allowing me to put one foot in front of the other. One of my brilliant runs is from the Tinker Bell Half Marathon January 28, 2012. Besides it being a RunDisney event, which are my favorite races, this race was right before I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and I was very sick the morning of the race. Despite being sick, I put on my tutu and laced up my running shoes and walked to the start line. I pushed through and accomplished my goal of finishing. Since being diagnosed, crossing the finish line and earning my Tinker Bell medal means even more to me as I learned a valuable life lesson: when life knocks you down, get up, brush yourself off and keep going!!

    Annie McGee says:

I’d use the shoes for my upcoming half marathon and full marathon in Indianapolis…
What does running mean to me…..running to me is my chance to set an example…it is time to be me and really practice what I preach (PE teacher)! How can I expect my students to believe that being healthy and active is the key to a fulfilling life if no one is there to set the example. EVERYTIME my students run in class, Mrs. McGee is right there with them (even if that means logging more than 10 miles in a day throughout classes). Running to me is how I am a leader not only to my students, but my family. Running to me is being able to ALWAYS say yes when I am asked if I can play tag, basketball, catch, or go on a walk….as Mrs. McGee…but more importantly as MOMMY!

      STUFT Mama says:

Annie- I was a PE teacher for 10 years too. (I still teach on Fridays only.) I always felt like that. Like it was our job to be an example. LOVE it! Keep doing what you’re doing. 🙂

    Joy says:

I run for so many reasons, but one of the main ones is how it makes me feel after I finish. I love feeling clear-headed, accomplished, like I pushed my body, and like I’m striving for or achieving a goal. Nothing else but running can do all that for me, which is why I love it.

Thank you for another chance to win!!!

I would love to tackle some hills in a new pair of Mizuno’s. Now that I’ve got my groove with running, I’ve been trying different shoes rather than my old stand by stability shoes. 🙂

    Michelle says:

What would I do with a brand new pair of Mizuno shoes?
Well, first of all I would be very thankful that I got them and then I would wear the h*ll out of them and look totally cute (and cool!) doing it!!
I am a brand new runner. This is the beginning of week #5 for me. I ran my first 5k on the 4th of July and finished in 34:37…
Ok, not even close to being satisfied with that! LOL…
6 weeks ago…I was telling people that I wouldn’t need to hire a trainer, I would just need to hire someone to chase me with some sort of weapon…Because that was the ONLY way I was going to run!!
    And now?
I am a runner! I don’t love it every time I run, but I love that I am able to!
    My 2nd 5k is in 3 weeks 🙂
BTW…I used to live in San Diego (for many years) and I LOVE your pics and miss it there!
My son was born in Chula Vista and I worked in La Jolla, just a block from the beach (across from Jack in the Box-if it is still there!)
    🙂

Another chance to win these?? I soooo want to try a pair! I wish someone would pick me! I would have a brilliant run every day that I wore these darn shoes! I run for fitness, to get away from my kids for some quiet time, sometimes I run to be with my kids while they ride their bikes! I run because I can!

So I just started running at the beginning of the year. I have officially worn out my first pair of running shoes! I’m pretty pumped about needing a new pair due to using my old ones too much! I am loving running and exciting to be getting back into shape (i was a gymnast and cheerleader for forever then quit working out altogether after college, bad idea!) Thanks for another chance to win!

    2) would love to have a pair because I am runner. I would run in them till the bottoms fell off! Why do I run. Simply put I run to be. I run to be sane, to be powerful, to be clear headed…….just to be a better version of me.

    Cheers!

YIPPIE!!! Another chance to win some HOT kicks! I swear, if I win these shoes I WILL sign up for my first marathon…I have run 2 halfs in the past and both times when I finished I could not imagine doing that whole thing over again – seriously thought i was going to die after i finished my first half…and then somehow I signed up for another one soon thereafter. Its a sick love/hate relationship but I am truly determined to run a full and these shoes would be FABULOUS motivation!!! P.S. Your blog rocks! You are such an inspiration!

    Katie says:

What would I do with a new pair of Mizunos? Run…run…run! I have been battling plantar fasciitis for several months and have not been able to run. I have been contemplating trying a new brand of shoes…what a great way to see if Mizunos could be for me! Why do I run? For several reasons…my sanity, stress reduction, my sweet tooth:), for my health, for the children I hope to have…the list goes on. Running is such a simple thing that has made such a huge impact on my life and I haven’t really given it much thought until I couldn’t run. Thanks for sharing such a great project!

    Angie says:

I would run in my new shoes and not get blisters! I have a hard time taking care of myself, the kids come first!

  111. 111

There are a bajillion reasons I run… to be healthy, to have endurance to chase around my kids, to feel less guilty about eating dessert (every day…), but honestly, the number one reason I do it…. I love it 🙂

  112. 112
  113. 113

I use running to literally run away from my genetic short-comings and keep my heart healthy. I am training for my very first full Marathon and I only train in Mizunos, so I would love an extra pair to keep my feet happy while I log those miles!

I would be unstoppable. I would run faster and do more in those shoes.

    I need those shoes 😉

    Liz says:

Ok, so I’m comment #102 but I just had to tell you why I run…
Running makes me a better mama, wife, friend, teacher, and person. I run because I CAN, because no other workout helps me feel quite as happy as 5 miles. I run by myself in the dark at 5 am or in the hot sun pushing a 50 pound stroller at 3 pm because it keeps me sane and it shows my daughter that her mama is strong and healthy. I know the Mizunos won’t make me as fast as you my dear friend, but I don’t mind, they will still get me to the finish line!
Miss you and hope to see you soon! Can you fly into Oakland instead of SF? You gotta get to the SF marathon 🙂

    Stephanie says:

With new shoes I would run, run, and run! I run because I love it and because it is cheaper than therapy! 🙂

  124. 124

I run because it keeps me sane. It’s some me time on the road, er pavement. It allows me to step away from everything that is around me and just exist. At the same time, it allows me (if it’s one of THOSE runs) to work through all my problems. To analyze and review all options and take the proper steps (ha!). And just as a kicker (ha, again!) those Mizunos would look super sweet on my feet running across the Golden Gate Bridge

Tips for running the SF Marathon — 1. drive! Yes, it’s an 8-hour drive, but cheaper than flying. 2. Stay in the East Bay, much cheaper and with a really early start, traffic getting in is minimal. 3. If it was 2 years ago, I would have offered my futon and ride to the start, but that room belongs to the baby and the futon is in some dorm room in Chico (thank you craigslist).

    Monica says:

Ah, the elusive Mizuno running shoes!!! With a pair of my very own I would explore uncharted running territory! Or at least new-to-me territory. I would also wear them during my upcoming first-ever half marathon, because I fully anticipate that being one of my most memorable & brilliant runs 🙂

    Meg says:

I love, love, love Mizunos! So I just had to enter this contest.
What would I do with a new pair? Definitely put them through a couple hundred miles of running, hopefully at the SF (2nd Half) Marathon and at some (or all) of the races I have coming up this fall. Maybe they’d even join the hubby and I are on our (belated) honeymoon next month. Pick me! 🙂

So excited to enter to win some amazing shoes from a great company! I love running because it’s so therapeutic and a wonderful workout. I have recently fallen in love with running as a past time/hobbie and I am now training for my first ultra marathon in September, do these shoes would help me train brilliantly!

The lifespan of my current Mizuno Wave Inspire 8’s (my third pair) is coming to an end and I am currently in full training mode for the Falmouth Road Race in August. Happy Running!

    Cait says:

What would I do with a new pair of Mizuno’s? Continue training for my first marathon this fall! I know I’m going to need another pair sometime soon.

To me, running is a chance to endure. It’s a way for me to metaphorically live my life through my soles. I know that if I can train hard, beat an old PR, or finish a distance, then I can do anything in life. My soles teach my soul.

I am afraid to make those damn doughtzels because I KNOW that is going to be an eating situation. 🙂

Anyway, i hope you get the SF thing figured out. Ironically I stress about money all the time and won’t buy practically anything but I am always the first to tell people we get to go through this life one time…enjoy it. I know you will figure out what is right and maybe if there is a inkling that this race isn’t worth the budget load than that is your answer. Which decision makes your gut calm.

I will think sponsor thoughts for you.

I am not much of a runner and when I do run I am a trail runner. I run because of the mental escape and the feeling. I run to see my puppy up in front of me. I run because I still can and because I know enough bodies that can’t or lives lost that used to be runners.

Have a great day. Sigh. I will make the damn doughtzels.

      Samantha says:

PS. is it poor form to say that I will then have to run because of eating too many doughtzels? Somehow I think that isn’t the spirit they are looking for.

  136. 136

I run because I love food! Haha my role model runs everyday and it seemed like she enjoyed it so I decided that maybe I should give it a try. One I started running I couldn’t stop! Right now all I have ran in a race was a 5k but I’m going to do a 10k in a few months. My goal is to do a least two marathon before summer time next year! I want to do the White Rock Half Mararthon ( or now name Dallas Marathon, I think) , and the Rock N Roll Half Marathon!

So any-who, I decided to sign up for my first 1/2 marathon in Philly this september and started my training plan yesterday! 🙂 I am so nervous/excited…and that being said, I just ran the color run in Philly on Sunday and really need a new pair of shoes 🙂 Winning them would be awesome, and some sweet motivation to get running!

The reasons why I run: for my health, to stay in remission from my Graves Disease, I run to feel good about myself, I run to challenge myself and to challenge others, I run to motivate, I run to drink wine and eat cookie dough dip, but more importantly I run because I can. Running is my therapy and reminder that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. Running reminds me that I am a strong woman.

Running to me is my victory over myself. When I was in high school, I was an out of shape asthmatic who had her mom write her a note to get out of running the mile in gym class (which by the way, don’t get me started – we never ran in gym class, and then all of a sudden I’m supposed to run a whole mile for time??). Now, as a 38 year old, I’ve run 5 marathons and countless half marathons, and generally run to have a good time. I cannot believe that!

I just need to keep reminding myself of that every morning, hopefully I’ll start to listen to myself more often 🙂 I have some 1/2 marathons and a triathlon coming up later this summer, I know some new kicks would help me hit the predawn pavement rather then the predawn lab work!

Again, I saw that all kinds of people could accomplish the marathon so why couldn’t I? The next year, I signed up, trained and ran the NYC marathon. Oh yeah, and I cried as I crossed the finish line not from pain or exhaustion, but from the overwhelming feeling of accomplishing something great!

    Jamie A. says:

I never ever win anything so I’m leaving my comment only because I love your blog (I would of course run run run with new Mizunos).

My husband would say I run because I am such a cranky/not fun/bad word when I don’t. My boys would say I run because they like having a mom who has enough energy to play with them on the playground. I would say I run because I can, I should, and I love the way it makes me feel!!

    CRAusmus says:

I’ve been logging 40 miles a week for the past couple of months and for some reason, either time or soreness, I can’t seem to get over the 40 mile hurdle. So hopefully with a new pair of Mizuno’s I could finally eclipse that 40 mile a week mark.

Running is that part of the day I don’t have to be in a hurry to get somewhere. I settle into my stride, let the sunshine and the music wash over me, all while looking out for cars and other traffic, and coast through my loop. Then the craziness starts as I prepare for the rest of my day in which everything has to be done by a certain time.

I run, because I can’t fly. Although if I could fly, I’d probably still run.

  212. 212
    andrea says:

I run to clear my head and reduce stress a lot of times. I would use a new pair of mizunos to continue my marathon training. 66 days away! Can’t wait! Good luck in deciding whether to go or stay. That is a hard one for sure.

    Erica Marlin says:

Like many other mamas have said I run for clarity, sanity and inner peace. Running gives me that special time I need to not think about diapers, nursing, schoolwork, making dinner, laundry or any of my daily actions for everybody else. It’s me time, and when I get that I am a much better wife/mother/friend/human being!

P.S thank you for all your inspiration to get out there and hit the pavement (or treadmill)! Somedays it’s tough but i see what you accomplish and it reminds me what I am capable of too.

    Kelly R. says:

I run because it’s just me and the road/track/treadmill. There are no obligations when I’m running. You have time to think, to plan, to make decisions, or just to clear your mind and not do any of that. You can do it rain or shine, hot or cold, inside or outside, and no matter how you feel before you run, you always feel better afterward. I think that running makes me kinder, more conscientious, and overall a better person.

Do I dare write a post for something I USED to do competitively? Run. Ouch. But I loved it. Bad knees, tough feet, boobs really get in the way and oh yeah…I have gained some weight. So my Brilliant run MIGHT be inspired if I win these shoes! I did look at the website and liked the way they help you design the best fit for you and I bet they would feel fabulous on my feet…when I finally get to walk….then walk and jog….then jog….and perhaps sprint a bit! You are my inspiration Kristin and I do appreciate all that you do! Even for a wanabe runner like me!

    J.T. says:

I just finished my last season of running competitively for my school. After four years, I’m at a cross-roads: Where do I go next? Half-marathons? Get my mile time down? Keep going with the 5ks and 10ks? I don’t have the answer yet.
I do know that I’m going to keep running. It keeps my mind (and my arteries!) clear. I am so incredibly thankful for the fact that I *can* run right now: after eight months of injuries (albeit minor), four months of unhindered running has been a breath of fresh air.
It’s funny, though. Through those injuries, one of the things I noticed was the importance of my peers. Before, I ran for myself. But after I’d been injured for the entirety of a season, and my team was counting on me to “show up” for the championship race, I had to look beyond myself to “find the run” in me–in us. That is why I run.
PS: I’m a poor college student, and I need new shoes 🙂

  264. 264
    Zach says:

I run as part of my New Years Resolution. I commited myself to running at least two miles a day, everyday for an entire year. I was barely able to run that first two miles on New Years Day but I stuck with it. I’ve been up every morning and now I’m running between 4-5 miles every day on the week days and between 8-13 a day on the weekends. I’ve actually become competitive in races. I finished in the top five percent of the last race that I ran (over 18,000 people). I’m running my first half marathon next weekend and will get a marathon under my belt soon enough. Running is now how I clear my head and I actually enjoy waking up and heading out every morning!

As our Relay team name implies — for me running is Cheaper than Therapy. It’s a chance to catch up with my BFF. To step away from “real life” for a moment. To stay healthy. Been a Brooks wearer for most of my running days. Would love to try some Mizunos to see what I’ve been missing out on. 🙂

Running is becoming part of my life and I am constantly thankful for those runs. I’m trying to train right now for races in te fall and would love a new pair to get me there. Hoping to do my first 10k ever by the end of the year

I would love, love, love to win these! I am 10lbs into my 100lb weight loss journey. I have started C25K as part of my weight loss journey. I am a slow jogger, concentrating on building endurance. I love the alone time to clear my head. I am currently a treadmill runner but plan to take it to the streets very soon. My husband & I will be running our first 5K in the fall for my birthday! These shoes would be a great birthday gift!

I run for me and to teach my kids how important it is to make yourself important. My four year old is so into it, that she tells me flat out to get on my treadmill if I try to skip a nap time date with the treadmill. How cool is it that I can count on her to hold me accountable?

  278. 278
    Suze says:

Well, if I had a brand new pair of Mizuno shoes, I would be stoked to replace my sad, worn out current pair of shoes as I kick up the gear on my training for the Women’s Half Marathon I’m running in late September! Bebe says:

    Christina says:

I run because it makes me okay with me. Its the only time when everything else in my world, good and bad, fades away and it’s just peaceful. It’s a feeling no other exercise or substance had ever given me and I am in love with it and with how my body feels when I run 🙂

  284. 284

I run because it makes me feel strong! I can clear my mind, listen to my music and think about nothing but running!

  285. 285
    Jessica says:

Mezamashii is what is helping me get through my 4 weeks of not running. It’s that feeling that you get when your connecting with the world arou d you as you run. Your legs flying forward the rhythm you feel as your feet strike the ground it’s the elation when you finish better than expected. Because of recent surgery I am doctor ordered not the run right now but a new pair of mizunos would be a great way to help me to look forward to that next run that’s only 12 days away…but whose counting?

  286. 286
    Carolyn says:

Man oh man another giveaway! You are like the Santa Claus of running lately (not that I am complaining). I could SOOOO use a pair of new running shoes. I usually have to buy my running shoes on discount or sale and only get one pair every 6 months. I know I need to replace them more often as I run quite a bit but we just can’t afford it right now. With me home with my 3 little boys and my hubby working hard to support us most of the money goes towards the kidlings. Anywho, I hope I win cuz I will be running running running (while pushing my 3 kidlings no less:)).

  287. 287
    Sue says:

I run because it’s my chance to clear my mind!

  288. 288

I think it’s too late to enter but what the heck. I run for my family. I was never athletic growing up and definitely not into running. When the doctor ordered diet and exercise late last year I started dabbling a little on the treadmill. Not too long after I bought my mizuno wave mushas and that was the end of it, or the beginning I guess. Now, since March, I’ve got over 300 miles on those shoes, my kids are really starting to like running and I would love a new pair of Mizunos to use in my first marathon this November.

  289. 289

I don’t even know if it’s allowed, but I’d love to win my mama some mizunos. Poor dear runs in weird cheapies that can’t be good for your feet! I’d love to give her an awesome gift! Her bday is the 16th of August and she’ll be 48. 🙂
