One More Day

One More Day


I need a day. Actually, I need more than a day. Maybe a week or two. Ha. I’ll just take one more day though if you don’t mind.

I’m working on my Bob recap post, but I need a little more time to get it together. I’m just too chatty with those recap posts.


Yesterday’s workout:

6 miles on the treadmill at the gym

I wore my new Mizuno Inspires from The Mezamashii Run Project.


I’m trying to keep them as clean as possible so I do this.


Does anyone else do that? I’m so protective of new shoes.



This was my night last night at 11:30 pm.


Ha ha. Yep. I needed this mug filled with low calorie ice cream and frozen frosting. You want to know something really cool? This whole darn mug of deliciousness was only about 80 calories or so. That’s just amazing. Especially when you’re eating it at 11:30 pm. I don’t count calories, but when I’m consuming food that late at night I try to be mindful of what I’m eating.


Yesterday was a partial success with potty training things. Um, and yeah, potty training twins is not a walk in the park. I swear every time I started doing something productive one of them had to go “pee pee in the potty”. Then the other one had to go. Then he didn’t. Then all of a sudden at least 20 minutes had gone by.


Or, actually, in Joaquin’s case, he wasn’t very successful making it to the potty. He went on the couch, on the kitchen floor and on the treadmill.


We were on our first load of laundry and our forth underwear change by 9 am.


(Side note- I love Green Works all purpose cleaner. It cleans anything and doesn’t have harsh chemicals. Not to mention it smells nice. Grandma D is hooked on it too.)

We had some smoothies yesterday for the first time in awhile.


It was a STUFT Tots Chocolate “Milkshake” kind of day.

It was also a summer surprise cookie dough dip kind of a day for mama.


I drizzled it with ice cream dream protein frosting, some peanut butter and a few sprinkles.

I had a big bowl of cinnamon crisps for dipping.

I just may be having that exact same thing today.


Late last night when I was putting the boys to bed. I thought I was in the clear. I thought I’d made it through the official first day of potty training.

We were on the last two pages of book number 3 and then….

“I have to go pee pee in the potty.”

Well, of course.

Bedtime was pushed back quite a bit.


We finally have some broccoli slaw back in the house. I’ve been substituting roasted zucchini noodles for broccoli slaw lately from the garden to save a couple bucks. I broke down though and had to buy a few packs (5 to be exact).

Last night I roasted burned the heck out of a bunch of veggies.

I had one big bowl of charred goodness.


Topped it with marinara, chicken, fresh basil and just a little crushed red pepper and served it with a cheese less sandwich.


Ha ha ha.

How sick are you of seeing the same thing over and over?

Don’t answer that actually. I’ll hold off showing you pictures like this for at least 3 days.


Okay, well, we’re two potty clean ups into the day already (one of them being my leg) and these boys are getting restless. Time to go.


Guess what flavor I had in my iced mocha this morning.


Ha ha ha.

Yeah, those are all open. I’m indecisive and like to change things up okay? And like I posted here on instagram, these were all on sale. ($3.99 a bottle at Smart and Final)

    My guess is the hazelnut flavor! I Am planning on starting potty training with Judah next week when my brother leaves and we can stay home for a few days straight! I was lucky with my first, my mom got tired of Levi not being potty trained (I was sorta trying, not hardcore or anything figuring he’d get it when he was ready) so she kept him for two days straight at her house and sent him back all potty trained! Haha, Mimi potty boot camp.

    Hope everything continues smoothly with potty training (doesn’t seem to be going that bad). Do you not use a timer at all or do you really prefer your veggies that charred? I like mine a little brown but I often forget to set the timer, then forget about them so they end up somewhere between where I like them and yours. Still delicious either way!

    Gosh I so want to come eat dinner and dessert with you! We were definitely separated at birth. I have never heard of anyone (besides my grandmother) that likes the burned up veggies like I do! I keep meaning to make that ice cream dangit! I’m on crunch time today working at the gym, but I’m definitely going to put some together tonight so I can have it tomorrow! YUM! Oh and we look green works too! We ran out recently and made a homemade version. I need to blog about that. It’s vinegar based so it’s pretty strong at first, but it cleans the heck out of messes. Oh and yeah, the type of messes change as they get older, but there are still HUGE messes! Ya gotta love those boys!

    I’m patiently waiting for you to have your boys potty trained so you can tell me all the tricks so it takes 1/2 the time to get my twins on the potty! 😉

    Aw, did you put your feet in this post just for me? 😉 That green dip with the frosting looks like the ultimate bowl of anything I could think of. Want.

      Okay, too funny because I almost wrote something like that on there about my feet, but then thought you might think it was weird or get annoyed because I talk about you all the time. Ha ha. Just for you though Sara. Oh and that green dip is so you!!!

    Those syrups looks so good! Love eating my food out of mugs, not sure what it is about it…cereal, smoothies…soup, it’s the quirkiness! 🙂

    Hey there, I enjoy all of your burnt veggie delights:)
    They make me feel better that I burn my veggie meals too, and that I eat the same things daily.
    I made your low cal ice cream and it was delicious, but now its raining and I can’t justify making another batch in the cold. I’ll have to wait for another sunny day to bring it back!
    Hopefully the potty issue is going better now! Poor little treadmill!
