Well, we went to Costco today. Not the best idea to go there on a Saturday with a Flat Kitty cut out and two cranky toddlers, but hey, I’m not the sharpest told in the shed sometimes.
Want to go with us? Photo dump style?
Sometimes before we even enter the store I can tell if it’s going to be a rough one. I’m going to say that today we had a couple red flags before we even went in, but that didn’t stop me. It did lead me right to my favorite wine though.
Ha ha.
These guys know how to spot the samples.
I know how to spot the chicken right after it gets out of the oven.
I have this thing with finding the freshest, biggest, yet most cooked one. Sometimes it takes awhile. Sometimes I need a little help.
Yep. I think we found the perfect one.
We had to go back for the Flatout wraps (per my list in the previous picture). It was here that the boys started acting up and a lady said to me “They’re two aren’t they.”
Yes, yes they are.
That didn’t stop us though. There were a few more necessities on our list. I’ve been craving three ingredient fudge lately so we got some bananas.
We also stocked up on some romaine because it’s so darn cheap there. (See this old post on how I prep it and keep it fresh at home.)
Woo hoo! That had that sweet kale salad still.
We got a couple bags of this stuff.
We were all really excited about it.
Well, at least I was. It’s my new thing. My new broccoli slaw thing to roast. I love it!
Let’s see. What else.
More samples.
Some spices we use on a daily basis.
Just in case you can’t tell from the picture here’s a better picture for you.
It was a few samples later when this happened.
I’m surprised it took so long. I felt bad for my flat friend, so I tried to make it up with some cat litter.
What? Who doesn’t take pictures of themselves at Costco? I thought I was cool because I was sporting my Reebok CrossFit headband and Kitty was sporting his STUFT mama one. We were like twins.
And yes, I do carry my shopping list (and my phone and Costco card) right there. I should be using my new pouch instead though. Hmm…
We found these GoGo Squeeze packs in a fun new flavor. They’re perfect for on the go snacks.
Hey, it looks like Flat Kitty went doody in the cup. Ha ha.
Someone tried to sneak the leftover samples while I paid the bill. Sneaky guy.
And no trip is compete without getting our happy faces on the receipt at the door.
I thought we were in the clear after I took these two pictures.
I was wrong.
We had to whip out this bad boy (our handy travel potty) in the parking lot.
I didn’t take any pictures of the actual parking lot squat, I’m not that crazy.
And that, my friends, is how we do Costco.
And this is how I make the fastest turkey wrap ever to feed my face when I’m unloading the groceries.
It was closely followed by this protein mocha almond ice milk thing that was a messed up experiment of frozen almond milk in cubes, but it turned out pretty tasty.
Sorry for the Costco photo dump. I just felt like sharing today. You know, Flatterday and all. We’ll do a little Flat Kitty roast next week.
Email me if you need a Flat Kitty.
We’re off to have some family play time and then I promised I’d make either lazy mama lasagna or taco pie for dinner.
I better keep my promises. I have not been very motivated in the kitchen lately as far as dinner goes.
Have a great night!

LOL…another eventful trip! You guys crack me up 🙂
I actually laminated my Flat Kitty yesterday in case there was such a mishap!
Thanks for the photo dump, you made my night 😉
Enjoy the wine (I know you need it!) Ha!
Now laminating him would be a darn good idea. 🙂
Did we just get two posts in one day?? You know I can never get enough of Flat Kitty, especially out in public like that. 🙂
Oh, people MUST think I’m crazy. We were a scene in Costco. Ugh.
Hahaha well at least you had some extra help at Costco: flat kitty!
I’m not sure he was much “help”. 🙂 Ha ha.
I can totally relate on your shopping trip, minus a twin but adding in a 4 year old (that is actually a big help) and a cranky 7 month old that hates shopping. I can’t wait for kitty roast, I have a great idea that might piss kitty off tomorrow haha
Can’t wait to see what he gets to roast at your house. He he.
Too funny! How long did it take you to write that post? Say hi to the boys and flat kitty for me!
Oh goodness Janice, I don’t know. So silly. Hope you had a good weekend!!!
Ohh flat kitty! Their faces are priceless in the kale picture! Hope you got around to making a yummy dinner 🙂
I did! I was so proud I finally cooked for the hubby. 🙂
I love the Costco sweet Kale salad! I had it for dinner tonight with 1 morningstar breakfast patty and red peppers but Erik and Bella didn’t even want a bite (more for me)! Thanks for sharing your Costo photos, you are awesome at packing up your trunk, Miss you guys! 🙂
Miss you too!!! I might see you tomorrow morning. Don’t know what’s going on yet. But WILL see you Sunday, yes????
Flat kitty cracks me up. I love that you took him to Costco with you. 🙂
He goes a lot of places with me. No wonder I get weird looks.
My kids are so obsessed with the squeeze applesauce packs, best invention ever!
Aren’t they awesome? Love them!
Im moving in with you.
the end.
