I’ve Got Nothing but Ovatine

Well, I’ve got nothing. Actually, that’s not true, I have a bazillion comments and emails I need to respond to and a bunch of actual work stuff for STUFT Fitness I need to attend to, but bloggy wise I just can’t think clearly this morning.

Wait, I’ve got Kitty who religiously sits on the stove, but refuses to actually brew my espresso for me.

And a new discovery that I can froth my perfect summer mocha after it’s all put together to make it that much more fun.

Oh and lately we’ve been doing a little something new in the morning.

Yep, Ovaltine. Judah insists on drinking plain soymilk every morning

while Joaquin always requests chocolate milk (I usually do a little bit of a Carnation Instant breakfast packet or STUFT Tots Chocolate Milk for special occasions).  I bought some Ovaltine during our last trip to Target so we’ve been adding about half a serving to Joaquin’s morning milk. I like that it doesn’t have too much sugar. Joaquin likes that it’s easy to stir.

Cheers!

Shnikies. I just got a text to sub a class this morning so I’ve got to run.

Here’s fun move to try this week. An old video and I’m super sweaty and gross (pretty much the norm), but a great core move to add to your routine.

Have you done your V-sit today?

I wonder how fast I can whip together my cinnamon sugar breakfast STUFTwich this morning. Ha ha.

Did you know it’s national banana day? Are you celebrating?

What’s your chocolate of choice?

Mine is my favorite cocoa powder. I use it anytime I need something to be rich and chocolaty.

Ovaltine? Wasn’t that the code word from The Christmas Story and the boy who wanted the Red Ryder B-B gun? “Drink Your Ovaltine?” I actually didn’t know you could even buy the stuff these days. ha!

You don’t have to comment on the comments you receive….we know you are busy girl! The golden rule of blogging…never say you are sorry or make excuses for some thing (or that’s what I think about blogging any way)…it’s your blog you “get to” do what you want. 😉

Shortest post ever…? I’m so confused. 🙂 I just watched a Seinfeld episode where they made a funny joke about Ovaltine, haha.

Good morning! How did you know I needed a video for motivation this morning? 🙂

I did not know it was national banana day. I will find someway to enjoy I am sure and as far as chocolate of choice, I totally started laughing. Like there is one. I will say I am heavy on the cocoa powder myself these days. It works in so many ways for that quick chocolate fix! And I need so many of them.

    Have a great day.

Just read through your other posts – my thoughts are with you, lady. Hang in there. It’s not always easy, btu somehow, someway, it ALWAYS gets figured out.

LOVE ovaltine! I am like you, though, LOVE cocoa powder!! I go through it mighty fast… ha.

    Hope you are feeling better!

Ovaltine?! LOL! My grandfather used to drink that and I thought it was the biggest treat to get to have it when we visited them. Awesome.

Hey… I bet that would be tasty in a green muffin…

Gasp, I am not celebrating! All my bananas are frozen and well past the eating stage, more in line with the baking stage. Those boys are too cute! Looks like they both started the day off on the right foot! I hope you’re having a great day! xoxo

I’m not big on bananas. In fact, they kinda make me gag. I love their flavor, though, so I have been known to make a mean banana bread on occasion. As for chocolate, there is no such thing as bad chocolate as far as I’m concerned. I like it all. I mean it. The cheap crap in the foil wrappers for Christmas? Like it. Hershey’s? Like it. Godiva? Great. All good. I have to end by saying I had nothing in the house but some leftover roasted broccoli slaw with barbecue sauce and chicken. Heated it up and served it over some egg whites and topped it with salted pistachios. LOL. What’s wrong with me?! 🙂 I love your blog. Thanks for sharing with us.

Whoa, wait. You put pistachios and egg whites on roasted broccoli slaw with chicken and BBQ sauce???? That is just sooooooo awesome! I may just have to try that. I thought my concoctions were weird. LOL.

I love the picture Kitty! That is too funny that she likes to sit on the stove!! Anyhow, my chocolate of choice is a nice dark piece with either a glass of red wine or dipped into peanut butter (my weakness!). But, I love chocolate peanut butter milkshakes, too! For celebrating national banana day, I mixed some banana slices into my yogurt this morning.

Hopefully you remember my Ovaltine addiction in college. Thanks to this post, it may have to make a reappearance!
