What’s the Haps?

What’s the Haps?

Well hello! It’s Saturday morning and I have a few quiet minutes in between boot camp and a fitness training I’m headed to all afternoon. I feel like I haven’t been around the computer at all lately which has been nice actually, but now I have even more to catch up on. Funny how that works, huh?

The house is freaking quiet right now. It was so weird not getting woken up at 5:45 by my alarm that repeats this phrase “I need to go pee pee in the potty.” Yep, it’s repeated over and over getting louder and louder each time just like an alarm clock. I might be able to hook you up if you’re interested in borrowing it for a bit. You don’t even have to remember to set him it the night before. It’s automatic.

I’m currently scarfing down a protein oat pancake with some low calorie peanut butter frosting and coconut cookie dough crumble.

Oh, and there’s some Naturally More peanut butter buried under there and an iced perfect summer mocha on the side.

I had to make one ginormous pancake because I just finished off both my huge jugs of egg whites. Yeah, BOTH!!!

Well, not at the same time, but I have gone through both of those bad boys in about 2 1/2 months. Time to order some more. He he.

I feel like I’ve been hiding out a bit on the blogging scene. Not intentionally, but we’ve been so stinking busy I just haven’t had a chance to be by the computer.

Here’s some of the “haps” that have been going on over here.

I’ve taught a couple spinning classes and attempted a couple shorter runs in this darn heat (It’s been in the 100’s here the past couple of days). I had to fill in last minute subbing a spin class yesterday morning in my running attire. Not recommended. Those special bike shorts with the pads sure make a difference.

Thursday night I was that classy person that dropped STUFT Daddy off for a wedding rehearsal and then tried to see how many miles I could run before we had to be at the rehearsal dinner. I wore my fancy pink Reebok tank for the occasion. I managed 5 miles.

Then I cleaned myself up with some baby wipes in the bathroom and was good to go (some might have had a different opinion).

I have an after picture, but Andrew is closing his eyes so I’m deciding to be nice for a change and not post it. Even though I think he deserves it because he made fun of me and told me to ”twat” it.

The other day the boys and I braved Starbucks again even after our last episode there. It was their idea and yes, it was a different Starbucks thank goodness.

Besides my breakfast this morning, I’ve still been making the bigger than big cinnamon sugar breakfast STUFTwich.

And changing it up with a savory breakfast STUFTwich every now and then.

This one was from yesterday and had nutritional yeast and no spinach because I was drinking an early morning green heat juice with it.

Oh man, I could talk breakfasts and green juice drinks all day right now. Speaking of, here’s what I had earlier this morning that knocked my socks off. (Click on the picture for the instagram link for all the ingredients.)

Oh and the other day I dropped chocolate pumpkin protein goo on the floor and scooped it back up in a bowl and ate it.

Yep. Five second rule. Between you and me, I did find a dog hair in it and that didn’t even stop me. Why do I tell you these things?

Totally random, but I’m addicted to pears with cinnamon lately too. I’ve been craving them every single day.

Moving on.

I’m trying really hard to focus on my new outlook. It’s going to take some time to really make some changes, but I’m considering myself a work in progress. Every little change counts, right? One thing I’ve really been focusing on this week is being away from my phone or the computer when I’m with the boys. I want to give them my full attention. I’m just not sure they’re quite ready to do the same.

Oh well. We’ll all work on being in the moment together.

Last night STUFT Daddy and I got to be in the moment for a little date night at a wedding. It was so much fun.

And FYI- if you’re really nice and you forgot to pack your hot sauce in your purse for the occasion, the kitchen usually has some on hand they’ll bring you on special request.

Ha ha ha!

Congrats to out amazing friends Jonathan and Yvette on their wedding!

Okay. I’m out. I’m off to a fitness conference for the rest of the day. One of my sessions is with a marathon coach and I’m hoping I can talk him into training me for free. I’m sure that will go over well.

What are you up to this weekend?

I went through a pears with cinnamon phase a while ago. They’re so good. I wait until the pears are nice and ripe so they’re soft and super sweet. I think I need to re-visit this food combo.

    The wedding couple look beautiful!

I’d totally eat food off the floor. I once had a roach land in a pot of home made alfredo I was working on and I screamed, made my then bf pick him out, and we ate it.

I hope that makes you feel better about your ‘over-share’ 🙂

I just started reading your blog–love your recipes (especially that dark chocolate frosting!). I couldn’t figure out why yours looked so rich and glossy (and mine was flat and muddy). Anyway, I finally went on a hunt for the Hershey’s special dark cocoa (1 store carries it in my town–I stocked up a little) but what a difference from the regular cocoa powder. I’ll never go back! I put a little sugar free raspberry syrup in mine today and had it over some “ice milk”. Thanks for sharing all your great ideas!
