Hey hey. Happy Halloween friends!
Unfortunately, I don’t have any costume pictures yet. I do have a little outfit for Kitty, but he was not cooperating earlier so that might just have to wait. He better get his act together though because I didn’t spend $5 at Target to have his outfit just sit around. Ha.
I may just have to get another afternoon post up again. Hmm….
Until I get to that though, check out last year’s Halloween post. It should definitely make you smile.
The second workout for the day was a backyard boot camp class and a quick 3 mile run on the treadmill here at home while watching Friends before I made dinner. Um, yeah, the characters are like 28 in that show. Seriously? I’m stinking old.
This happened here just now.
Not by itself though. There were some “layers” under there.
layer one- dark chocolate frosting
layer two- chocolate protein frosting (made with GNC Pro Performance® 100% Egg Protein – Chocolate Supreme)
(I froze the first two layers for a bit so they were more like frozen frosting.)
layer four- the creamy dreamy ice cream
It was marvelous.
I’ll get to that protein cookie in a bit, but I’ve been meaning to talk about the vitamins and supplements I take on a daily basis lately and keep forgetting. Now is as good a time as any.
Forget Halloween candy, let’s talk vitamins.
Every morning I take my Women’s Wellness Vitapak. I made sure to take these little packs on my recent trips with me too just to keep things consistent on a daily basis. If it’s in my purse I’ll remember to take it (even if it’s in the middle of a presentation).
At night I take these three supplements.
GNC TriFlex Sport and Triple Strength Fish Oil Sport and GNC Ultra 25 Probiotic Complex plus Immune. These are all new additions to my routine as of a month or so ago, but I’m loving how I feel on them so I’m planning on keeping at it long term.
What vitamins/supplements do you all take?
So, yes, that no bake protein cookie has resurfaced with better protein powder courtesy of GNC. I made it the other day and it made me remember just how great it is. In fact, I’m going to whip one together as soon as I post this so I can have it tomorrow morning before we head out to the gym.
Ready for it?
GNC STUFT No Bake Protein Cookie
1 serving GNC 100% Pro Performance Whey Protein Vanilla (35 grams)
1/4 cup oats (20 grams)
1/3 cup crushed cereal (about 15 grams)
2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce (may need a bit more for mixing)
1-2 tablespoons nut butter (I used almond butter)
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. It takes a little time to get everything mixed together, but you want it to be like a thick dough.
Form into one large cookie. Place on wax paper and chill. If you’re in a hurry and want to eat it as soon as possible (which is usually the case for me), just stick it in the freezer for about ten minutes or so.
It’s just that easy.
I used the Special K Protein Plus cereal in my cookie. I usually like to use brown rice cereal, but this is what I had open and it was pretty darn delicious.
Um, yeah, you need to make this now.
Feel free to Indulge in your scrumptious GNC STUFT No Bake Protein Cookie while those around you get sick on Halloween candy.
This is way better.
Okay, time to hit the sack. I’ve got to teach an early morning spin class. Dang it, I wonder if I should be dressing up in costume for that? I don’t think it’s going to happen.
See you soon. If things turn out the way I want them to, my next post will have Kitty and the boys dressed up. We shall see.
