I haven’t gotten to my workouts yet. I’m hopefully making it to the gym in time to hang with my friends Kelly and Michael. He he.
First things first.
Email me your mailing information and your custom flavor choices (if any) for your pack and I’ll pass it along to my good friends at Chobani.
Yesterday we pretended it was still Christmas.
See….we still celebrated last night.
I slaved in the kitchen with a celebratory dinner.
Ha ha. Thank you Trader Joe’s freezer section. It actually turned out pretty well along with some roasted broccoli slaw and roasted cauliflower (season with garlic, ginger, Bragg’s Liquid Aminos and Rooster sauce).
I made these too.
STUFT Daddy said they weren’t that impressive and not blog worthy because they weren’t healthy, but we don’t want to hide things from you. Have you tried these?
No picture of our actual dinner. Family dinner time means the camera and phone are away.
I also kept the extended holiday party going by my lonesome.
Oh yes. I made a maple flavored coconut cookie dough crumble. Mmm…… And you don’t even want to know what was under that creamy dreamy ice cream. A couple of Vitatops and some two ingredient dark chocolate frosting and Better N Peanut Butter. Oh my.
Oh yeah. This movie was on again and I hadn’t gotten to watch it yet this year. Love it.
So, yeah, doubt.
It gets in the way of a lot doesn’t it?
I always doubt myself. Doubt what I’m really capable of. I think it’s just human nature.
The other week I had a long run to do. I went out with every excuse in the book ready in my head why I would be able to pick up the pace the last few miles like I was supposed to. I stayed up late the night before and made poor eating choices. I feel like I did it subconsciously so I’d have an excuse to not try hard on the run.
For at least an hour on the run I was thinking that it really didn’t matter if I gave it my all. I should just take it easy and next time I’ll try harder. Next time I’ll be in a better place. Next time I’ll really start my training.
Well, when it came that time to pick up the pace I decided to try it. It was a lot of self talk to get motivated.
I went faster than I thought though. It wasn’t as hard as I thought either. Once I was in it, I was fine and pretty soon I was back home and it was over.
I think that happens a lot. If we just give ourselves the chance to see what we can do, we’ll surprise ourselves. Yes?
I got an email with this quote from Runner’s World last night.
Isn’t that just so true?
I think we should make the year 2013 the year of surprising ourselves.
I’ve got this little journal ready.
I’m not exactly sure what I’m going to write in it. Maybe all the ways I surprise myself by trying something and believing in myself. Sounds good doesn’t it?
So in the spirit of surprising yourself and making goals for this upcoming year, I happen to talk my coach into doing a little something extra special for STUFT readers.
He does a lot of online training and writes custom plans. That’s what he’s done for me.
Well here’s a little something he’s doing for you………
He’s offering a 20% discount for any of his custom plans.
Cool huh? So that would be a whole 20 week custom plan for $39.95. That’s pretty awesome. He’s pretty cool and he doesn’t mess around. He’s got a PhD and has written some pretty amazing books.
You will have to email him directly for the discount.
Make sure to tell him you’re a STUFT Mama reader and he’ll hook you up.
Hey, we can all be training buddies. How fun.
Okay, I’ve gotta run. Literally, on the treadmill, at the gym. We’ve got a big day and I have exactly 20 hours to get a little birthday something together for these little guys over here.
Yep. Sometimes we eat at the counter in a messy kitchen. Please don’t judge.
Oh and um… yeah. I made this amazing Paleo friendly microwave English muffin just this morning and can’t wait to share it.
Obviously I turned it into a breakfast STUFTwich.
I know, right? I have a feeling this is going to be a new breakfast staple around here.
Okay. Have a wonderful day friends!
Let me know if you’re going to email my coach and start a program. I’d love to chat about it!
We can do a “Believe in Yourself” journal together too! Fun!
Questions – Do we dare brave Costco today? Will it still be crowded with holiday shoppers?
