Usually Friday mornings are a little slow moving around here. Not today. By 5:45 am we already had a change of toddler clothes due to a little “accident”, Kitty not only got his morning drink (I’ll let you guess from where), but also scratched up some furniture and someone was just waiting for it to be light outside so he could come into Mommy and Daddy’s room.
Sweet, sweet boy. Needless to say, my buddy and I got up, made some coffee and hot cocoa and started snacking on some breakfast biscuits.
So……
we’re taking a break from the normal day to day STUFT crazies to talk biscuits this morning.
Not just any biscuits, these delicious breakfast biscuits from belVita.
We’ve been snacking on them quite a bit around here lately. I actually first saw these biscuits awhile back at the gym when they were giving out samples. To be honest, we took more than just our one sample each as we walked by. I may have shoved just a few in my gym bag while encouraging the boys to go grab a couple extras. Yep, that’s how we roll when there are good samples going on. He he.
These biscuits are awesome. We recently got a package with all five of the different flavors to try out.
So exciting, right?
I thought my favorite would be the chocolate ones
but I actually like the cinnamon brown sugar the best.
Here’s a peak at the nutritional stats (of the chocolate ones) if you’re a label reader like myself.
I love that whole grain wheat flour is the first ingredient.
Here are the top three reasons why the STUFT family is really fond of these biscuits:
There are four in a package. Yes, four. I don’t know why I’m particularly excited about this, but anything that has four treats in a package is a win in my book. I mean, who can really only eat just two graham crackers or other snacks at a time anyway? These biscuits are perfect for the certain people (like us) with big appetites that need just a little bit more packed in a serving.
They have some serious staying power to give you energy and keep you fuller longer. It takes a lot to fuel me for awhile since I’m always on the go and I eat like a machine, but I’ve been surprised how long these really have kept me satisfied.
“The sustained energy in our belVita Breakfast Biscuits comes from a combination of specially selected ingredients and a carefully controlled baking process that helps preserve the integrity of the grain.”

They are convenient and easy to pack for snacks on the go, which is perfect for busy families on the run.
On the belVita website, they recommend pairing the biscuits with fruit and low-fat dairy for a balanced breakfast.
I listened to them of course, except made the pairing my afternoon snack. I tried the cinnamon brown sugar biscuits with a plain Greek Chobani yogurt topped with sugar free maple syrup and a roasted apple sprinkled with cinnamon.
It was more fun to eat like this.
Obviously, I had to keep experimenting the next day for breakfast.
Obviously I had to come up with on heck of an amazing breakfast parfait.
Yeah, so I didn’t realize how great this little parfait was going to be. It was so darn good. So good in fact, that now I want to try it with all the different flavors of biscuits and Chobani yogurts. There are so many great combinations to create. My first one was an apple cinnamon package of belVita biscuits, an apple cinnamon Chobani Greek yogurt and a Jazz apple sprinkled with cinnamon.
I’m thinking an orange or a pear parfait will be next. Hmm…..
Yesterday the boys decided not to nap. I think we’re entering into a new non napping stage over here which I’m really not excited about, but I’ll save that chat for later.
These biscuits saved the afternoon though.
Even Turk wanted some.
However, the boys were not in the sharing mood.
They wouldn’t even share with me so I was forced to have my own package of the chocolate ones. I paired them with a darn strong protein latte.
I wasn’t in a sharing mood either and finished off that pack in less than 2 minutes. He he.
Okay, gotta run (and maybe think up a new parfait for the day). I wonder if I can make one with kabocha squash. Ha ha.
Have a good Friday friends!
Have you tried these biscuits? What’s your favorite flavor or favorite way to eat them?
*FitFluential LLC compensated me for this post. All opinions are my own (as is the confession of hoarding these biscuits before being a part of this campaign).

Ohhh… I want cookie biscuit! Crunchy + creamy Greek is always a win!
Yes, ALWAYS a win win. BTW- I bought TVP the other day because of you and now I don’t know what to do with it. He he. What’s your favorite recipe?
Yay! I love TVP as oats: http://www.sprint2thetable.com/2012/10/pumpkin-pie-tvp-oatmeal/ or as nuggets (totally kid-friendly!): http://www.sprint2thetable.com/2012/08/chick-less-nuggets/.
Let me know if you try them!
Thank you friend!!!!
Can’t wait to experiment.
I used it in a three bean chili with Tru Roots Sprouted bean blend from Costco & it was great! (sorry totally creeped into this convo!) I soaked it in chicken broth & microwaved it a bit- then just added it to the beans after I cooked them. It even looked like meat in the chili
MMMM will have to try those out… I’m a big greek yogurt fan!
I got a packet of the golden oat belvita biscuits after the Chicago marathon and LOVED them! I had no idea what I was grabbing (post-26.2 loopiness maybe?) and was skeptical so I only grabbed one pack and I seriously regretted it after trying them. I want to buy them up in bulk! I didn’t realize they had other flavors
Must try immediately.
Parfaits are always the best way to start a day! Looks like a win in your household! I hope you have an incredible Friday!
I’m glad you did a review of these. I pass them in the store all the time but never pick them up. Maybe next time I shop I’ll grab a package and try ‘em out! Thanks!
I’ve never tried them! I would love to try them in a parfait like you made. Looks yummy
Never tried those biscuits but they look awesome! Especially in that parfait!
Your parfait looks so yummy!! Ugh on the no napping… we’ve been fighting it over here, too. A whole week of resisting naps, and finally today she’s sleeping. I’m not ready for this next stage, but I think I’d better quickly figure out how to be!
I love the parfait combo that you whipped up! I think I would have to do a peanut butter apple sandwich combo! BAM! Have a fabulous weekend! XOXO
Two things (besides the biscuits!) that I now want to try-
roasting apple slices with cinnamon
and
sugar free maple syrup in my greek yogurt.
Always so many great ideas to be found here.
I am loving these things SO much. And I’m with you in so many ways – love having 4 instead of 2 in the package. The cinnamon one was also my favorite.
Genius on the breakfast parfait. I will have to do that!
I’ve never tried them but you are making me want to add them to my grocery list! Love the pics of your boys! I fear the stage of no naps! I’m SO not ready for that!
Oh man, I don’t know if I’m ready either, but I think we’re there. Ugh.
Biscuits help. Ha.
I got those Belvita biscuits from Costco today to try out!
I almost bought them too even though I still have a ton at home. They’re pretty darn good.
Those Belvita biscuits look like cookies! My favorite flavors would probably have to be a tie between maple brown sugar and golden oat. Especially if they’re topped with cookie butter or any nut butter. Especially walnut butter. And jelly. Maybe a Belvita nut butter & jam sandwich?
Oh man, now I’ve got to go out and get these…
I did the belvita with SunButter and jam thing. It was amazing!!! Great minds think alike. He he.
