Tuesday night- a short 30 minutes on the elliptical at home to loosen up the legs
I had my coaches keeping a close eye to make sure I was taking things easy.
Wednesday- Taught spin in the morning.
Did 6 miles on the treadmill with my Mizuno Inspire friends and my Live With Kelly and Michael friends afterwards.
I was too lazy to change out of my spin pants so kept them on for the run. Totally felt like I had a load in my pants. I don’t recommend it.
I hadn’t run since the marathon and my legs were feeling pretty good this morning so I wanted to let them run a little bit. My coach said not to run at all this week, but obviously I’m not very good at listening to people.
So I have a bunch of random things that I just feel like dumping. If you’re not a fan of my dumps, feel free to just go to the end of this post where the winner of the Halo Visor is announced. He he.
I didn’t feel like writing about food yesterday or the day before. I’ve been overindulging like no other since the race, but I’m ready to talk food a bit now.
We usually celebrate races with pizza. We did this past Sunday too, but I made some serious homemade vegetarian pizza with Trader Joe’s pizza crust instead of ordering it.
One with cheese for STUFT Daddy
and one with jalapeños instead of cheese for mwah.
I didn’t even burn them.
We also drank my favorite wine.
I always try new wines and then end up saying that I love Ménage a Trois so much better. And you just can’t beat the $6.99 Costco price.
I had the biggest dessert ever. I can’t even remember at the moment everything I piled in my big bowl and no pictures were taken.
I’ve been eating way too many belVita biscuits lately too. My favorite combination has been the blueberry biscuits with SunButter.
It’s a little dangerous.
Monday was a rough day. I think I mentioned it in my last post, but we had some serious spilling issues in the kitchen early in the morning.
It wasn’t fun.
We did get into some new GNC finds though.
The boys got these GNC Kids Gummy Multivitamins and I ordered these ginger root supplements. The boys have been loving the new vitamins, but are a little disappointed that the serving size is only one a day. I got the ginger root because I had heard on a Jillian Michaels’ podcast that ginger helps with muscle soreness and inflammation.

I’ve been taking them the past few mornings in addition to my Vitapak vitamins and I think they’re helping.
Speaking of helping, I’ve also been doubling up on my probiotics and taking Zicam because I’ve come down with a little cold or something. I love this stuff.
Yeah, Zicam is expensive, but I really think it works.
The boys and I were on our own for dinner last night. Conveniently STUFT Daddy had a party to go to that we weren’t invited to. We partied on our own here with Legos and roasted veggies.
I think he was the one who missed out. Ha ha.
The boys aren’t too keen on my roasted veggies yet, but I’ll keep trying. One of these days they’ll change their mind.
I put together roasted brussel sprouts and roasted broccoli slaw with some chicken that I roasted the same way. Instead of topping it with my usual marinara sauce I used balsamic vinegar and this Trader Joe’s bruschetta along with some nutritional yeast and fresh basil.
It was a pretty good mix of flavor if I do say so myself. I was trying to be extra healthy since I needed to recover from my overindulgence of breakfast biscuits, chocolate and peanut butter just after the race.
Well, hey, what do you know, that might be all I have for you.
Oh wait, one more thing, the Target stores that have both the huge carts and Starbucks inside are my favorite.
Even though our quick stop there today turned into a long one with multiple trips to the bathroom for the boys, this café Americano saved the day.
So did this ginormous bowl of roasted kabocha squash I had for a late lunch.
Okay, enough chit chat.
