Oh heck yes I do. Love is in the air. I mean, it IS Valentine’s Day and all.
Love, love, love NuttZo.
Love, love, love doughtzel balls.
Love, love, love giveaways.
Love, love, love all of YOU!
So, let’s get right to it, shall we?
I’ve got these amazing jars of Organic NuttZo in the house.
Oh, they are spectacular. Seriously, this is pretty much my favorite nut butter ever. It has it all. Sure, it’s a little pricier than other nut butter, but for good reason.
Here are some quick facts about this multi-nut butter:
- Provides 50% of your DV of ALA Omega 3 per serving (650 mg).
- Legumes + nuts + seeds = a complete protein (all your amino acids)
- A 16-ounce jar of NuttZo Original provides 14 servings. This equates to less than $1 per serving of organic nut-nutrition.
(Well, that last one is if you can hold yourself back and have just one serving at a time. I’m not too good at that one. Ha ha.)
My love for NuttZo started a couple of years ago when I first spotted it on shelves. My fudgy oats recipe was conveniently made in an almost empty jar of this stuff. He he.
Here’s how we’ve been using it as of late.
On top of egg whites and oats.
Oh my……. the chocolate flavor is insane.
I don’t think it’s going to last too long around here. There’s some serious self control happening.
Obviously we had to do a little baking with this also.
Obviously we had to make a new version of peanut butter doughtzel balls using NuttZo.
Obviously I’m going to make you drool over all these pictures before giving you the recipe and the giveaway details.
Hungry for these yet? He he.
Here’s the recipe.
NuttZo Doughtzel Balls
makes 32 balls
1/2 cup light butter spread or margarine
1 cup NuttZo
1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1/2 cup all purpose flour
3 tablespoons nondairy or low fat milk
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup crushed pretzels (regular or peanut butter filled)
Mix light butter spread, NuttZo, sugars and vanilla until smooth.
Combine the next 5 ingredients (all the dry ingredients except for the chocolate chips and pretzels) in a separate medium size bowl.
Add dry ingredients to wet mixture gradually.
Add 2-3 tablespoons of nondairy milk to moisten the dough.
Stir in the chocolate chips and crushed pretzels.
Cover and chill dough for at least 30 minutes.
Use cookie scoop (or hands) to form balls and place on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
Let balls sit on the cookie sheet for a couple minutes before moving to a cooling rack.
Um yeah, these are THAT good.
Oh, the perfect NuttZo doughtzel ball.
You know what I really love? You can eat the dough too. It’s good chilled or frozen. I also sometimes freeze a couple of cooked balls for extra special occasions.
