Not that you care, but part of my new plan to get my act together over here is to go to bed early and get up early to get things done before the day really starts. You know, bed at 10:00 pm, up at 5:30 am. It’s a new thing for me. The first few days it last week were marvelous.
Now, someone else decided he was going to change his schedule also and get up at 5:15 am every morning so I wouldn’t be awake by myself. Isn’t that nice? isn’t that how it always works?
At least he’s learning how to help out in the kitchen.
Give him just a couple months and he’ll be the best barista around. Ha ha.
He’s slowly learning all the tricks of my Dark Chocolate Peppermint Mocha (which is a must with this new early morning waking up thing).
My morning “office hours” are at the kitchen table. It’s okay to be jealous of my set up. Ha ha.
So yesterday didn’t end with our special Valentine’s 10K. That was actually just the beginning.
Not only did my friend Beth do amazing at her first 10K yesterday, she also carted me all around afterwards AND went straight to the special Sweaty Sunday workout at Lululemon with me. She rocks.
I’m such a nice friend, I called her in route to the workout and had her pull over so I could ditch Papap and the boys and hitch a ride with her. I chomped on a Designer Whey protein bar on the way and tried to clean up a bit with one of my Action Wipes.
We arrived at Lululemon with 2 minutes to spare before the workout was supposed to start.
I’m not sure if they do this at all the Lululemon stores, but the one in Carlsbad has free workouts every Sunday at 10:00 am called “Sweaty Sunday”. It’s a pretty cool thing. The workouts are different every week and range from yoga to Pilates to HIIT classes.
we were ready to go.
I got to pick out one shirt from Lulu for the special workout so I picked this tank. I was so classy that I had my tag out to try to impress my new workout friends.
Just tucking in my tag. Lovely.
Anyhoo, the workout was so fun. I taught the Y50X class that I teach at the Y. It’s three circuits of 5 moves and we go through each circuit twice. Most of them are high intensity, body weight plyometric type moves. You know, the ones that make your legs burn and sometimes make you feel like you’re going to barf. All the fun stuff (burpees, mountain climbers, slow jacks, lunges, etc.). Ha ha.
Everyone was awesome! Seriously, these ladies and our lone gentleman rocked it. We all left some serious sweat on the floor of that store. He he.
We even had some time to spare at the end so what better thing to do than some planks and extra core moves?
It was such a fun group.
Aren’t they so awesome? I kind of wish we could all workout together every Sunday at the store. I’m sure the feeling is mutual. Ha.
It was so great to get to chat with my Y friends, new friends and some old friends too. There were even some from high school and college. Crazy. Allie and I went to college together and recently connected again because of this little blog.
And um, she recently converted to be a Mizuno gal. Love it.
Sharing the Mizuno love is my thing.
Look, Beth was sporting hers too.
So that was our morning. It was a blast. I owe Beth big time as she also had to drive my sweaty butt all the way home (yes, I do not live close to the Lululemon store).
Thanks Lululemon for the fun workout!
Thanks Pro Compression socks for getting my legs through back to back workouts.

Congratulations winners! Email me your mailing address and I’ll send it along so you can get your fabulous jar of NuttZo. Seriously, if you haven’t tried this stuff, you’ve got to get your hands on some.
It was marvelous.
You know what else was marvelous? A huge bowl of my cake batter protein shake (made thick so it’s like ice cream) to finish off the weekend last night.
Have a wonderful day!
