Bob Workout, Handful Pledge and a Picnic

Workout:

Taught a noon spin class.

Taught evening Y50X class (plyometric HIIT class), step aerobics and then went on a slow 4 mile jog with my friend Beth at the beach.

I’m sure the people who come to my classes are getting sick of me using the same moves and music. I really need to change things up a bit. So, no new moves to share, but a friend did remind me about this video with my best friend Bob.

I totally forgot about it since I haven’t been up to tape any workouts in a very long time (my last visit was this one in November). It’s a fun AMRAP though you can do at home and hey, he’s looking at me in the still shot. That’s right Bob. Ha.

Oh Bob- We had some fun times together. He he.

Since I was always trying to impress Bob by wearing my Handful and my dear friends at Handful have a big campaign pledge going on to get their fabulous bras made here in the USA, I have something to share. They have a big goal to reach to be able to produce Handful Bras in the US and some really great products to pre-order to help reach it (including the new orange and green bras coming out).

There’s free shipping on everything and here are the packages that are available for pre-order as part of the pledge:

*Handful Tote & Bottle Opener ($30)

*Handful Tee (men or women’s options) & Hat ($40)

*Handful Made in USA Bra ($50)

*All of the above ($120)

*Handful Bras “one for every day of the week”, 7 Handful bras at a big discount ($250)

Who wants a Handful?

It was ridiculously hard to get going yesterday morning. Even after my strong coffee I was struggling. It may have had something to do with the massive amount of desserts (yes, plural) I overindulged in on Mother’s Day. I hate how a sugar overload sticks with you for a couple days and just makes you feel lethargic. I also hate how I told myself I wasn’t going to have dessert at the party and then had not one, but like four. Ugh. Oh well, I did the whole reverse 80/20 rule for the special day.

After a little sweat session in spin I felt better. Sweat helps a lot doesn’t it?

The boys and I had an impromptu picnic in the front yard for lunch yesterday.

IMG_2637

On the menu: Grilled cheese and hummus sandwich for the boys with a side of Costco seaweed snacks.

IMG_2635

I had forgotten about the whole hummus and cheese combo deliciousness. It’s similar to the cheesy yogurt dip sandwich and is just a grilled cheese with some hummus in it. The boys love it though.

I had my new salad obsession with Humming Balsamic Dressing.

IMG_2638

This one had some chicken and fresh basil on there too.

Oh hey, look who decided to join the picnic.

IMG_2639

My pre workout snack for the car to the gym yesterday afternoon was an apple, a chocolate cookie dough quest bar and some STUFT NuttZo Monkey Balls.

IMG_2641

Speaking of those balls, there’s still time to enter the NuttZo giveaway. It ends tonight at 8:00 PM, PST.

And not that you care, but I took pictures so you get to see it.

Dinner.

IMG_2646

(Roasted broccoli slaw, roasted peas, roasted cabbage, swiss chard and jalapeños seasoned with garlic, Bragg’s Aminos, ginger and cayenne topped with sriracha, Trader Joe’s Peanut Dressing and some other hot sauces I found in the fridge.)

Dessert.

IMG_2647

(Cake batter protein shake on a 120 calorie dark chocolate muffin with lots of PB2 and chocolate NuttZo. It was made in my new NutriBullet. Holy smokes that thing works well.)

I attempted to watch Dancing With the Stars while getting some work done. I can not multi-task. Is anyone watching it this season? I think the finals are up soon, yes?

Okay. I’m off. Happy Tuesday!

I need some spin song ideas. Feel free to throw some my way. My classes will thank you dearly. I’m afraid if I make them listen to Party Rock Anthem one more time they might really stop coming.

Smile

I hear you on the dessert front. Hate that overly stuffed sugar feeling. But hey, if you are going to eat dessert, I always say indulge to the full extent and enjoy every bite…new songs for spin, hmm – I always thought Harlem Shake would make a great interval song for spin, as well as Right Now (Rihanna’s song with David Guetta)…my spin instructor sometimes does all 80′s music and I Think We’re Along Now by Tiffany turned out to be a great song to spin to.

I forgot to mention this in my last comment, but you’ve totally turned me onto the sliced jalapeños! I sometimes get carried away though and my stomach is not very pleased with me. I love spicy like you do too, but yep even my iron stomach gets angry. LOL! Happy Tuesday!
