Well, That Was Easy

Good morning.

Well, That Was Easy.

Easier said than done sometimes and easier to say after the fact, rather than when you’re in it.

Yes?

I’ve been saying that phrase in my head over and over to myself over the past couple days so thought I’d share.

Workouts:

Saturday I taught boot camp.

Sunday I took a spin class and did a little time on the home elliptical later in the day. It was hard to motivate myself during the spin class. I just wasn’t feeling it so I had to hide my watch from myself. It did go by pretty quickly though after a bit and I thought, “hey, that was pretty easy”.

Later at home I wasn’t sure how I felt about getting on the elliptical, but I pretty much rested the day before so figured I needed just a little time on there.

I put on the most hideous workout outfit I had and got a little sweat on with Gossip Girl.

Oh hey, and showed off our fancy shmancy TV set up on instagram.

Turns out we’re not the only ones who still have TV likes this.

Once my time was done on there and my little sweat session was over, totally thought to myself “that was easy” and I felt so much better.

I’m telling you- a little Gossip Girl motivation goes a long way.

I slept a lot this weekend. A LOT. At least 8 hours each night. It was fabulous.

It was needed because it was these days on the Whole 30 plan.

Here’s a Whole 30 timeline from Madison about the Whole 30 plan. It’s pretty interesting what your body goes through in 30 days.

Other things that were “easy” over the weekend:

Creating another little mocha smoothie with 1/2 cup egg whites, a frozen banana, spinach, 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, sprinkle of cinnamon, instant espresso and ice…..

Well, that was easy.

Attempting to read quietly yesterday afternoon.

IMG_3363

Not so easy.

Finally deciding it was time to paint my toenails. Easy.

Finding the time, not so much, but I made it happen.

Picking out a color was easy- I made the boys do it for me.

Best base coat and top coat ever though are these in case you care.

Oh, and after reading this article from Runner’s World

Do You Have Chimpanzee Feet?

Well, deciding that I do indeed have chimpanzee feet was easy too.

Andrew left me in charge of gathering the chickens and putting them in the pen last night. I was convinced I would screw it up and lose a chicken or something. I didn’t. They were all in there already when I got down there. Lucky me. That was easy. Phew.

Burning roasted broccoli slaw and the rest of dinner last night.

That’s a given. Ridiculously easy. Doctoring it up with Cholula and anything else I could find (nutritional yeast, tomato sauce, crushed red pepper, fresh basil, balsamic vinegar, etc.) and serving it with a ginormous salad- kind of easy.

Making up this easier, quicker, smaller version of the microwave English muffin that isn’t as good as the original, but is really easy in a pinch when you need something quick before the madness of the day starts on a Monday morning- easy.

Off to tackle the day friends. Fingers crossed it’s an “easy” one.

Have a good one! Happy Monday!

I’m glad you stuck to the detox through the weekend. I bailed on the 21dsd. I couldn’t handle the tiredness and it was making me sad. I see my friends out and about, having fun while I’m all mopey. Not to mention, my workouts were suffering BIG time. I cheated with… PINEAPPLE. Right? Who would consider pineapple a cheat? And then I had my preworkout on Sunday morning and killed it at the gym! Feeling good today so I know I just needed that time to reset. I wouldn’t mind revisiting it in the winter months though! Keep going mama! 🙂

I am dying to make all your smoothies and ice cream and every yummy treat involving ice – but I just broke my blender trying to make the ice cream 🙁 Is the vitamix really my only option? what is the cup you used in your picture today? Please help me find an affordable blender option that can handle smoothies and iced treats!! Thank you!!!

That English muffin does look pretty easy! Awesome recipe.

And I bet it feels good to know that you’re on track with the whole thing…. Even though I bet you wish the “nap” phase was shorter and you could just get onto the tiger blood 😀 8 hours certainly is fabulous for sleep! Is that longer than what your normally get?

LOVE that Out the Door top coat!!!

The boys did a good job picking out your top coat color! Yesterday I made sweet roasted kabocha with cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin pie… Amazing! I usually just do coconut oil without any of the sweet seasonings and man it made a huge difference it was even better than before, I didn’t know it was possible!

Ummmmmmmmmmmm, I have the ugliest feet in the world so I don’t show them – flat – wide – bunions!! UGH!

I always love reading what you are doing & eating – I may not do it but interesting! I LOVE THAT muffin recipe though! 🙂
