We Might Have to Move and Breakfast Lately

We Might Have to Move and Breakfast Lately

Taught a BOSU class- best move of the class- BOSU burpee with a plank jack

Did 25 minutes on the stair mill- level 14

Main stair mill motivation was an old episode of Friends and this magazine.

I used to wait for Fridays when I subscribed to US Weekly. I miss it. Don’t get it anymore, but I got suckered into buying one last week.

I’ve been all about breakfast lately. I always am, but with the whole plain espresso thing and no sugar free syrup or cinnamon sugar breakfast STUFTwich issue, I’ve tried to expand a little.

I’m pretty proud.

Let me show you.

I ran out of cabbage after I ate this same breakfast three days in a row last week, so yesterday I scrambled some eggs (regular eggs mixed with my usual egg whites from jugs), chicken sausage and spinach in a little coconut oil. Seasoned it all up with Trader Joe’s Everyday Seasoning and some extra cayenne and had some plain roasted kabocha on the side.

Yep. Kabocha is even good plain friends.

Today I tried bacon on for size. Not a huge bacon fan, but couldn’t resist that this was already cooked and could be microwaved quickly.

Yes, there is a little sugar in there and you die hard Whole 30 folks might not approve, but I figured it wasn’t enough to ruin anything. I only had a little bit and the sugar content was minimal.

It went down like this.

Same idea- scrambled eggs (real mixed with jug whites), spinach and that bacon in coconut oil with a little sea salt.

Just magnificent.

Too bad I’m out of kabocha again.

Let’s see how long I can make it this time…..

Oh, and the boys breakfasts have been looking like this.

Scrambled eggs and green gobblin’ muffins.

Those there are their vitamins. Here’s the GNC goodies the boys and I take every morning.

If you’re on instagram, you saw these guys were way too cool for the pool today.

I chose to share that picture of them looking “cool” instead of these.

Don’t they just make you smile?

So, um, yeah, we just might have to move.

This happened AGAIN. Just this afternoon.

So not okay.

One week apart, two snakes, same spot down in the backyard.

I’m starting to get a little angry about it.

And, I’m resting for a bit. I’m pooped. I’m not training for any events and am going to take things easy for the next couple of days until my next prolotherapy appointment. my friend Janae just wrote a great post about overtraining. I think that’s what kind of got me here in the first place. It’s time to rest so I’m ready to start slowly when the time is right.

Easier said than done of course, but fingers crossed I can ease back into running soon. Woot woot. I’m getting so anxious.

Oh, and not sure if you ordered your neon Pro Compression socks yet, but they’re selling fast. Use code NEON for 40% and free shipping on the new neon colors.

Have a good night.

Do you like bacon?

Have you ever found a snake in your yard?

What’s for dinner?

I’m going to try to see if they boys will eat a Meatza Pizza. We shall see.

Your little men are SO cute. Great job on the breakfast creativity. I don’t like bacon at all, but I like the smell of it (is that weird?). I think the smell just reminds me of my grandma’s house- she always made bacon when we stayed overnight. We have found several snakes in our yard…major yikes

I love kabocha just straight up plain. I don’t even consider it plain LOL. I’ve only found 2 snakes in our yard in the 12 years we’ve lived here. Harmless thankfully

Dang- I keep meaning to read it. I’ve been going to bed at a decent time instead of my usual late night reading. Putting it on my list though. 🙂 And keep those emails coming. I cherish them!!!! 🙂

I hate snakes. I found one in our yard last fall and I was frozen with fear. It was tiny but that doesn’t matter. Ugh.

I tried the Women’s Ultra Mega for a month but ended up not taking the energy pills…or at least splitting 1 in half and throwing the other out. Do you take the whole packet, including those? Caffeine really affects me, which is why I’m wary. (Of course I have no problem having it before working out or teaching a class, but I try to use it minimally at other times since my mood crashes so bad when I’m “coming down.”)

OH HOW I HATE SNAKES!!! I have only found one in my yard this year…so far:) I have decided to give up dirt road running for a few days since I saw a bullsnake AND a rattlesnake yesterday. Gonna have to drive into town to run until it cools off a bit and they quit moving around so much.

Ahhh how do you not love bacon?! You crazy gal! 😉 I think bacon pretty much makes everything better. And yes, I saw that photo of the boys on Instagram – made me laugh! They are too cute. I bet the boys are loving your snake friends in the backyard!

Oh Snakes! When we lived in AZ it was scorpions and boy those scared the crap out of me. We saw a few in our house. Yikes. I’m kind of glad we moved back to the east coast.

    we do like bacon 🙂

I can do snakes, it is spiders that destroy me. And yes, I deal with them all the time. One of the best things about accounting books is their spider killing capabilities.

So even when I ate meat I wasn’t big on bacon. I do get why people like the smell.

I am in finals week so lets just say eating is all over the place. Dinner involved olive bread, hummus, and banana and peanut butter. I like to call it the carb extravaganza. 🙂 Don’t fret however, I do considerably more eating earlier in the day. 🙂

Two snakes, I would freak out! I was walking my dog up by my boyfriends apartment and a snack that was at least 5 feet long crossed the path infront of us. It was horrible! I wonder if there is any kind of natural snake deterrent you can use. I know certain bugs don’t like types of mulch and fertilizer. I ordered my Pro Compression this month! I will have a pair of neon orange ones to add to my collection!!

Old Friends episodes are the BEST!
I haven’t found a snake in my backyard, but my sister did so now she says she can’t do yard work. Ha. I don’t blame her!

I thought we were kindred spirits, but then you said you’re not fond of bacon. I don’t know if I can get over that. 😉

I love how fascinated all your men are by the snakes while you cringe & take pictures. Yikes!

Do I like bacon? Does the sun set in the West? Is the sky blue? haha Your boys are adorable. 🙂

OK…this one looks bigger!!! And by that I mean scarier b/c if they continue then there could be a lovely nest and now my inners are just freaked thinking about it!

I have found 2 or 3 garter snakes in my yard in the past 10 years we have lived here….we live across the road from a small preserve so I am surprised there isn’t more but the road between us must be enough to keep them on there side. I had to call my hubby home from work (40 minutes away) once to remove it from the yard so I could continue gardening…so gross!! YEEK!

  17. 17

LOVE bacon and made some turnip mashed potatoes and thinking of throwing some fried eggs on top with lots of veggies. Hmmm…sounds kind of interesting, probably gross to many, but I’m trying to tweak my eats this week, after some stomach issues. Good for you, for taking some time to rest! You’ll be back stronger then ever. XOXO

Tony moved a snake out of my path yesterday on our run! Two snakes at the park so far…I need to find a new park!

Growing up on a farm, I can tell you that it might be the chickens that are attracting the snakes. Just a thought…

I know this has nothing to do with today’s post (especially since you are avoiding these on the Whole 30) but I just tried Quest bars for the first time today and THEY ARE INCREDIBLE. I got a cookie dough one and microwaved it and it was probably the most delicious thing on the face of the earth. Then I also broke it up into tiny pieces and rolled it into balls and mixed it into frozen Chobani to make cookie dough ice cream/froyo! Incredible. They are a new staple. Just wanted to let you know since I found out about them from your blog! Sorry if this made you sad because I know you’re missing them!

I think you are doing great with your less sugar – do what you can & the best you can! 🙂

    No snakes here.. YIKES!

I actually do not like bacon – good ting I am not paleo! 😉

I LOVE bacon and think its the perfect food esp when veggies r cooked w it. I love thick cut bacon and then regular bacon and brussel sprouts. I don’t bother w turkey bacon because the additive r too much and it tastes like cardboard
