18 inch stihl chainsaw I was sporting head to toe Reebok gear (this shirt and these pants) and decided to take some pictures of my favorite moves we did in BOSU to share.

Here you go.

Push ups with alternating front arm raise.

Plank.

V-sit

Idea-

Do each move for a minute (push up with arm raise, plank, V-sit) and go through 3 times. That would be pretty cool workout in under 10 minutes. I should try that next time.

Whelp. Let’s see.

Some “no’s” of the day yesterday.

I have probably 10 pairs of sunglasses and usually about 2 or 3 of them randomly in the car. Yet, no, when I was on the run all day I did not have any sunglasses on hand. It was annoying and I’m sure I have a few extra wrinkles on my forehead now. Lovely.

My second prolotherapy appointment was yesterday afternoon. No, I didn’t look at the size of the needle, but those injections are no joke. They do not feel good friends.

I did find this picture on the Journal of Prolotherapy website that was pretty much what my second injection was though.

[source]

That lady sure looks like she’s in pain too. I feel ya sister.

The picture is actually from this article: Hip Arthritis Prolotherapy Injection Technique which is pretty interesting and explains what they do. It also says the success rate is pretty high. Good news.

I told my doctor I was anxious to start running. He told me “no, not yet”. Boo. But he did say “soon” and that he wanted to see how I was after these two treatments. And hey, that’s okay, what’s 2 more weeks of waiting after all this time off anyway? I guess it’ll force me to try pool running next week instead of just talking about it.

No, I did not have any tummy trouble all day today at all. That was the first time in a VERY long time. I also did not have any kabocha. I wonder if it’s related. Hmmm…….

No, you are not going to make it through this post without seeing some sort of squash picture though. That spaghetti squash and apple I was roasting up this morning turned into this.

IMG_8976

I roasted it on that Nonstick Reynolds’s Wrap and didn’t use any spray or anything. It worked out pretty well and was even better once it was drizzled with coconut oil and almond butter.

Some of you asked about the coconut oil spray from Trader Joe’s being okay for the Whole 30. No, it is not okay. Too bad I buy the stuff in bulk and have 3 cans in the pantry. The propellants in pretty much all cooking sprays are not approved and either is anything with soy lecithin. (Got that answer from the Whole 9 Forum website.)

So, basically none of the sprays are supposed to be used because of the added ingredients. Beavis. Changing my ways for a bit I guess.

No, I did not follow the other rule to not have caffeine after noon.

IMG_3590

No, these unsweetened Starbucks Americanos are not growing on me just yet. It must take awhile.

No, I have not gotten sick of the Meatza Pizza yet. I tried it again last night along with one made on a cooked chicken breast.

After

IMG_3599

No, it did not disappoint. Either did the roasted zucchini and broccoli slaw that accompanied it.

IMG_8985

Again without any kind of spray, but I did drizzle a little olive oil on top before the seasoning.

No, I did not eat my dinner at a decent hour. Yes, I was picking fresh basil from outside in my pajamas at 10 pm.

IMG_8990

No, Flat Kitty did not help me eat it.

(Found that guy in the family room. Looks like he’s been through a little bit.)

And, lastly, no, I have not gotten Father’s Day presents for STUFT Daddy or for Papap yet. I like a little last minute pressure when I shop. It’s more fun that way.

Not to mention Papap is just so difficult to shop for. He never gives me any ideas or anything.

IMG_8983

LOL. Funny guy.

Here are some random Father’s Day gift ideas (just in case you’re a last minute shopper also).

Runner’s World has a pretty nice list here:

Father’s Day Gifts For Runners

My only complaint is the shoe choice. Obviously if you’re getting shoes for ANYONE they should be Mizuno (in my opinion).

Smile

Your man might need a Halo (hat, visor, head band, etc.). There are so many different products to choose from to keep the sweat out of his eyes and face.

Or he might need some Pro Compression socks. Golf, running, low trainers, you name it. Pro’s got it.

Papap is going to be the coolest grandpa golfer around because the boys don’t know how to read his little notes. They mean nothing to them. He might just be getting some of these cool golf socks along with this Halo Sport Hat. (I’m 99% sure he doesn’t read the blog, so I’m not spoiling anything.)

Now if I could just score him some Mizuno golf gear, he’d be all set. This shirt is calling his name (and shirts were on the list).

Seriously, Mizuno has all kinds of really cool golf stuff that I just now discovered. Check it out here.

Maybe, just maybe you want to impress your man with some new ginormous jugs. I just ordered two for myself yesterday. I’m sure STUFT Daddy will appreciate them. Ha.

And well, if you’re not feeling like spending money or you have a little “no gift exchange agreement” like STUFT Daddy and myself, then you can always resort to a little JibJab.

Good stuff.

Yay to no tummy troubles. Boo to needles! Hopefully it’ll help and be worth the pain. I think all my hubby wants for Father’s Day is for me to NOT spend money on him. haha

I don’t know that I could do the Whole30 thing. I’m happy in my modified-paleo life – perhaps I do need to change some things though :/ What made you decide to switch it up?

It’s tough. I’m not going to lie, but all I keep thinking about is how it might help with my inflammation with my leg and help cure my over consumption of artificial sweeteners. I’m feeling so much better already. Can’t wait to get to that modified lifestyle stage where I can find balance. :)

You are really doing a great job with improving your diet. I know it’s hard to make changes, but the fact that you’re feeling better makes me so happy! Thanks for the info on the spray. I try not to use it much, but it is so handy sometimes. I use a good amount of parchment paper though to cut back on it so much. I hope you have an incredible weekend with your men!

I feel your pain! I am finally out of the boot back to the gym, and I just want to run! We’ll get there soon…!

    Boo for more no’s :(

Just think how awesome your comeback story is gonna be, though. <3

OUCH! That needle is no joke! I hope that it’s helping and that you are feeling better. And I love that Starbucks picture :-) Crap, Father’s Day is this weekend isn’t it?

I don’t know what to write – you are just so much fun to read!!! :) I love the honesty! Hey, here is something, I don’t do these food programs cause I like to make my own rules! :)
