Sunday Gym Treats and God’s Clouds

 

Workout: Took a spin class. Hopped on the stairmill for 15 minutes afterwards just to make sure there wasn’t a dry spot left on my shirt.

Um, weird (and possibly TMI), but spin was uncomfortable today. I got a bike with a bad seat. I hate that. Cushiony seats and the special bike pants are key.

 

So, happy Sunday!

This is how my night ended last night.

One heck of a ginormous sweetener free dark chocolate cup. He he.

 

Let’s see, not that you care, but my first meal today was egg whites, that Trader Joe’s bacon and spinach all scrambled together in coconut oil with an unsweetened Americano.

I followed it with the same detox style sweet potato but didn’t take a picture.

Lunch was a turkey style meatza pizza and a big salad.

Now I’m eating a cut up banana drizzled wit dark cocoa powder mixed with unsweetened almond milk.

Oh, and it’s in an almost empty almond butter jar.

Yep. Totally probably note Whole 30 approved according to the SWYPO thing, but hey, sometimes you just gotta eat a banana in a jar. It’s pretty darn fabulous and there isn’t any added artificial or real sweetener so whatever.

At the gym today we picked up a fun little package of treats that were there for us.

We got a fabulous box of Power Cookies from Bonnievilles. I know, cookies at the gym, but these are some good for you cookies.

We got all the different flavors to try, but my man Joaquin obviously wanted the chocolate mint one.

I did my job and checked the label before letting him dig in.

Pretty good stats. Simple ingredients. Sounds good.

It was gone in just a few minutes. Judah went for the cinnamon maple flavor.

The peanut butter caramel looks the best to me. I’m putting one away for safe keeping once the STUFT Detox is over. I wonder if I can freeze them. Hmmm……

Anyhoo..

I can’t tell you how excited I am.

It’s time. More on that later along with the recipe for the zucchini pizzas since some of you asked for it.

 

I’m supposed to making a grocery list right now and plan out all of our meals for the week. I’m totally procrastinating. Not good. I better get my act together. I do not do well at the store without a list. Why is it such a big job?

 

Oh and just in case you get to see a wonderful sunset tonight (or if you don’t) I thought I’d share our very deep conversation about “God’s clouds” the other night.

Joaquin really wanted to know what kind of “flying thing” God uses to get the clouds from church to the sky.

Judah said God just spreads them out all over the place like magic.

I say, God is pretty darn amazing.

    i don’t plan out my weekly meals but i really should. i go to the grocery store WAY too often. itz not that i mind, itz just not very economical and for some reason our money tree in the backyard isn’t growing alongside our tomatoes. #weird

    I try to plan out a couple weeks meals at a time (not by specific day – just recipes to make!).
    I love the color of those new Mizunos!!!

    I try to plan out our dinners and make a grocery list over the weekend for when I go to the store on Monday. I always forget something if I don’t make a list!

    OMG! I just had my first Quest Choc Chip Cookie Dough bar. It was so amazingly yummy. Its just a shame they cost so much being shipped from the US. Need to wait for a friend to go over and get me some.

    I am still waiting for my Mizuno’s in the mail as well, fingers crossed its any day now.

    Yep, i am a planner and have the rough gist of what meals we are eating for at least 4 dinners of the week.

    I don’t go to spin classes often for that exact (TMI) reason – none of the seats are cushiony and I don’t have super padded pants…not a great feeling!

    Anyway… : ) I do write a grocery list before shopping each week – I have to or I’ll buy all kinds of things that don’t really “go together”…writing that list is on my to-do list for this morning!

    We eat a lot of the same recipes with staples that I always keep in the house. I do a ton of food prep during naps on the weekend so lunches/dinners/snacks are supper fast during the week. So did you get the Ok to run again?

    I really don’t plan out our meals I just buy our usual essentials and mix and match based on what we feel like. It works for us. I hate the spin bike seats – some are so much worse than others and I do not know why.All I know is that I often test out the seat before claiming my bike.
