Taught spin. Taught cycle and turf.

Yep. Totally feels like I’m living out of my gym bag and my car on certain days. Yesterday was one of them.

I ran 2 slow miles (like 10 minute mile pace) on the treadmill while the boys were at swimming also. I’m really trying to ease back into running gently. I just had to put those new Mizuno Wave Sayonara beauties on again.

Today I went for the pool running thing again.

IMG_4187

Sported my “AMRAP” custom Halo Headband. I pretended it stood for “As Much Running As Possible” while the boys had their swim lessons. He he.

Ran for about 20 minutes in the deep end without a belt. It was tough. I was sucking wind and 99% sure I looked like a complete idiot, but it got the job done.

I was trying to really pump my arms this time and keep them close. It was also a really weird feeling to be sweating on my head while the rest of my body was in the water. I was very tempted to just dunk my head and swim instead, but I didn’t.

These guys are getting mighty comfortable in the water though. That makes me very happy.

Anyhoo.

My breakfast was so darn ugly this morning. I thought about not showing you.

IMG_9248

Then I changed my mind. Jugged egg whites, turkey bacon, fresh kale with coconut oil, Trader Joe’s Everyday Seasoning and Scotty B’s Sweet Bacon Jalapeño hot sauce.

IMG_9247

Yes, there’s a little bit of sugar in the sauce, but not enough that I’m going to let it effect the whole STUFT Detox thing.

Other eats as of late.

IMG_9239

Roasted spaghetti squash with cinnamon and dark cocoa powder, egg whites and fresh strawberries with some Peanut Free NuttZo and Artisana Pecan Butter.

My go to snack lately has been this. Turkey, carrots and guacamole. It’s like the perfect combination.

IMG_4099

These fun purple carrots work well too, but just are not as pretty once the boys and I peeled them.

IMG_4144

They’re just so cute.

And this kale is just so pretty also.

IMG_4122

I really need to go to the Farmer’s Market more often. It’s so much more fun when you have fresh fruits and vegetables in the house.

Since we have a family wedding this weekend I should probably stay away from these little guys.

IMG_4098

Not today though.

IMG_4107

Hello sweetener free roasted kabocha squash. I do love you. And, well, that’s what my Spanx are for anyway.

Toddler eats:

The boys love these Sweet Potato Gnocchi from Trader Joe’s.

IMG_9244

They also really love their Chobani Champions in a tube.

IMG_4167IMG_4172

Um and I never realized this before, but how cute is this little message on the tube.

IMG_4168

“Keep Family First”. That’s what is means, right?

And, a little toddler humor from this morning.

I almost forgot my wallet again earlier today so I ran into the house to get it and told the boys I always have to have my wallet in case of emergencies.

Joaquin says: “In case we see candy on the way to the store?”

What?

I do not buy them candy. Where do they get this stuff?

Maybe they buy candy for their hair salon or something.

IMG_4161

That’s right. They now have a hair salon and not only will come to your house, but will also trade their services for food.

How awesome is that?

News to know before I go:

There’s only one more day left to support the Handful Bra Campaign.

Handful Bra Crowdsource Made in the USA Campaign

They’re so darn close to their goal.

If you haven’t ordered your 4th of July Pro Compression socks, you can still get 40% off and FREE shipping with code JL4. Even if you’re not racing, if you sport those to a party you’ll be the coolest one there. Ha ha.

Totally random, but STUFT Daddy brought these flowers in the other day.

I have no idea what they are, but they smell fabulous.

Anyone know what they are?

Enjoy the rest of your night!

Are the white flowers on the right Gardenias? We recently moved into a new house and I didn’t know what the bushes flowering in my front yard were until the flowers bloomed. Nice surprise and they do smell great!

Hi-I wanted to email you directly but only had a few minutes while at work to send message. I was recently diagnosed with a hip injury as well, unlike your issues I only have a torn Labrum, it’s causing lots of issues. I’m just about to start training for a fall marathon also. The Dr. I went to recommenced Platelet/Plasma Therapy, I thought it was the same thing you were doing but I think it’s slightly different. I understand there is a high success rate for recovery with this therapy-one negative it’s considered experimental and not covered by insurance. Dr thinks I might need 1-2 visits at $800 a piece! How are you feeling with the therapy you’ve had so far? Also if you don’t mind me asking, what do you consider the one best hip stretch and if I only had time to do it before or after run/exercise which would you recommend? Love your blog, it’s one of my favorites! I hope your hip continues to do well!
