Have You Ever and a Thankful Thursday

Hello! Hope you’re Thursday is treating you well.

Did you know it’s National Talk Like a Pirate Day?

A couple of “Have You Ever” things. First, have you ever played that game, “Have You Ever”? I’m pretty sure we played it quite a few times in college, won’t go into detail there. But, it’s a fun one to play with little kids too.

Have you ever just been sitting outside enjoying a quiet afternoon meal only to get flashed by a toddler?

Have you ever picked up your child from school and had his or her shoes on the wrong feet?

Have you ever spent more time searching for the ginormous Target cart than you did actually shopping there?

Have you ever had your toddler fall asleep while shopping?

Judah can fall asleep anywhere. Poor guy. That could not have been comfortable.

Have you ever tried using cabbage leaves as a taco shell for fish tacos?

That was dinner last night and it was awesome. I had my fish tacos with date night guacamole, roasted carrots and roasted cauliflower.

Have you ever had a cat help you with your PT exercises?

Kitty’s keeping me accountable. Ha.

Actually, I think he just loves the quiet mornings when the boys aren’t here.

Have you ever just used a wipe and some dry shampoo and called it good enough in place of a shower?

Hmm…… this is becoming a regular thing around here. After my morning workout instead of showering, I’ve just been doing the Action Wipes thing and now am trying out a little Kevin Murphy dry shampoo too. Good enough, yes?

Well, my day today started with coffee in this mug.

(Check out the chickens in the background.)

It also started with this mini baked egg white and arugula STUFT egg-rito to hold me over until breakfast.

So, when I got the chance to do a little morning run on my own I decided to list a bunch of things I was thankful for today.

It’s kind of nice to put everything else aside for a bit and just think of everything around you that you’re thankful for. Maybe that should be a new Thursday thing. (It should be an everyday thing actually, but maybe I need ot make Thursdays on here “thankful Thursdays”.)

Ten things I’m very thankful for right this very moment.

My boys.

The fact that we can afford to send them to preschool (it isn’t cheap). Hopefully we can make it through the year. Ha.

One on one time with one of my men.

Rarely do I get alone time with either of the boys. Last night Joaquin went with Daddy and Judah stayed with me. It was so much fun.

The ability to run. I fit in 6 easy miles this morning and just felt so great that I could do it, that it felt pretty easy and was pain free and I got to run outside by myself.

Usually with my schedule I can only run outside twice a week and the rest is on the treadmill, so today I was extra grateful.

Random, but I finally figured out how to set the automatic lap thing on my Polar RC3 GPS. Don’t know what took me so long, but it’s nice to be able to look at the pace per mile.

Amazon Prime. I order a lot from Amazon and I love that as an Amazon Prime member you get it pretty much the next day without an extra charge.

My most recent order was this.

For Chobani. They graciously send us monthly packages complete with Chobani Champion Tubes. They sure know how to keep the STUFT family happy.

I’m very thankful for reading this the other night.

I’ve been trying to keep it in mind as I usually have every minute of every day planned out. Working on giving that up a bit to find peace.

And, well, there’s lots more on the list, but it’s time to go get the kiddos. And once I pick them up, it’s OUR time.

I’m VERY thankful for that.

Have a great rest of your day!

What are you thankful for today?

Have you ever played “Have You Ever”?

I’m thankful for my dogs. I almost lost one yesterday; he swam too far in a huge pond and I didn’t think he was going to make it back. I’m thankful that he’s sore today instead of the alternative. I’m thankful that I can be at home this afternoon and just cry every time I look at him. I’m emotionally drained, but am so thankful.

I’m thankful that it’s almost Sunday – the first day in weeks where we don’t have tons of activities going on (just 1!).

One of my twin boys has his shoes on the wrong feet 98% of the time. And this summer we were at the airport flying out for vacation at 4:30 am, going through security and we all had to take our shoes off. We look down and the kid has one shoe on the right foot and one on the wrong. Yep. He had on two right shoes. (one of his, one of his brothers…his brother chose not to wear that pair.) Another exciting adventure (and I sure am thankful for those fun adventures!!) with twins!!

I’ve played “have you ever” at my bachelorette party! Haha.

And I’ve also done the wipes and dry shampoo when I’m pressed for time….usually about once a week.

LOVE!!!!!!!!!!! When I was little, my parents had a pic of me falling asleep on the toilet! Yup, I could fall asleep anywhere when I was little – what happened! 🙂

I wish I could use dry shampoo – I would! My hair is too curly but I get the wipe thing! 🙂

Lots of fun in this post & LOVED that pic of your boy flashing on IG!

Thankful for another day whether it is good or not so good… 😉

I have played “Have You Ever”…that picture of your son passed out is hilarious…today I am thankful for being able to afford to go to Costco and stock a fridge with lots of great products to fuel this crazy lifestyle. So many people aren’t able to have access to food like this and I am thankful for it every day. 🙂
