Sunday Times

Hey friends!

Happy Sunday. I meant to get a post up earlier, but got busy hanging with the boys. Right when I sat down at the computer Judah asked if I’d come play house with him. I mean, who can turn that down, right?

Workout this morning looked a little like this.

Thirteen treadmill miles while watching Playing For Keeps. Cute movie, crappy fan. Movies are seriously key to my treadmill runs. I can’t wait to get into some good holiday ones.

Last night we made our way to Bath and Body Works. Missed the sale of course, but were definitely the best dressed there.

We only had one minor accident and broke a few items. I wish I was joking.

After my run this morning the boys were begging for waffles. I delivered. I made some using Coach’s Oats multigrain pancake mix.

They were a big hit.

Know what else was a big hit today?

Duh. STUFT Daddy came home with two gems yesterday for me. Freaking made my day.

Sweetener free roasted kabocha back in the house friends complete with a STUFT chia pod, unsweetened dark chocolate sauce, coconut butter and almond butter.

It was magnificent.

Things that were a miss today.

Disturbing a few chickens doing their thing.

Sorry Puffin and Blacky, but thank you for the eggs.

Another miss. Kitty is not impressed with my current roasted brussel sprouts craze.

Oh well. My feelings aren’t hurt. He’s the one missing out, right?

Ha ha.

Okay, gotta run. It’s time for church and then we’re making an emergency stop at Sprouts for some purple sweet potatoes. They were out yesterday and that’s not okay. I made a phone call earlier and after being on hold for over 10 minutes they’re holding some for me.

Have a wonderful Sunday night!

I revised my post and the Buffalo Jerky giveaway is open until tomorrow night.

See you tomorrow!

Have you ever worn your slippers shopping?

Have you ever called a grocery store and made them hold anything for you? Please tell me I’m not the only one on either of these.

Yes, Nathan handheld water bottles and I think they’re great. That’s a long treadmill run and done soon after your race, too!

I have never worn my slippers shopping but I did wear them to get frozen yogurt one time! I need some better ones like yours though!

I’ve never worn slippers shopping, but they sure look cozy!

Never had a grocery store hold something, have had other stores (non food related). Hey, whatever works for you!

I used to wear my slippers all the time because they were seriously the only thing I could wear when my hip was at its worst. Just dragging my right leg behind me in slippers while using the cart as if it were a walker. So fun. Not.

They were out of purple sweet potatoes? That’s some nerve.

Do you just roast the veggies plain? Or do you use some oil of some kind?

I know right? I made up for it last night. You’ll see. The veggies- sometimes I use oil (coconut is my favorite) and sometimes I just roast them dry. Always with a bunch of garlic and seasoning though. Depends on my mood. Ha ha.

I have seen too many teens wearing slippers in snow/rain/sleet etc….really? Slippers in MN in January and February just doesn’t work. However, if I were in CA….I would probably do it. 😉
