Happy Saturday!
I forgot to announce the winners of a couple giveaways from the week, so here it goes.
Chosen by random.org:
The winner of the Cooking Up a Business Giveaway is #82 Jordan D.
The winner of the Xfinity Fitness Band Giveaway is #158 Elizabeth.
Yay! Email me your mailing information and I’ll forward it along! Congrats!
I didn’t really chat about my long run yesterday morning. It was definitely one of those that was mentally tough.
I had to keep reminding myself how lucky I am to be able to run and run kid free for hours in a beautiful place.
Seriously. How can I not enjoy that, right? And I got to sport my new Wave Inspire 10 shoes.
I also listened to Kelly Clarkson’s new Christmas album. I liked it.
On the home front yesterday afternoon something HUGE happened.
Oh heck yes.
Definitely more details will be coming and our addition to the family hasn’t fully been put together just yet, but we had quite the celebration last night after finally getting it in the house (it was a big job).
I couldn’t stop smiling and I may have shed a few tears of joy.
Some of us were more excited than others.
Yeah, Kitty cared more about the warm fire. What a weirdo.
In addition to celebrating with the cheap wine from Costco, which was pretty darn good by the way,
Andrew uncovered the BBQ and grilled for us.
Dinner was fabulous.
We have a lot of leftover salad from the one I took for Thanksgiving, so I threw that together really quick.
It went well with tri tip, chicken, roasted mushrooms with truffle salt and roasted asparagus.
Mmmm hmm…..
It was the perfect date night.
Obviously Modern Family was involved.
And since we were talking candles the other day, this Yankee Candle is the bomb.
And random, but thought I’d share that although I’m all about singing decorations, if you don’t have one in your house, you might consider yourself lucky. After listening to the song multiple times a day from 5:30 am to 9:00 pm, it’s not as cute.
Ha ha.
This morning I taught boot camp.
Came back and did just a couple stability ball tucks since I feel like I haven’t been doing enough core stability work lately.
Definitely not easy to take a selfie in that position, but it was a good extra challenge.
Ha ha.
While I did a little core stability, the boys tried their own form of a stability workout.
Ha ha. Don’t worry, STUFT Daddy was there holding on to the tree. We’re just making room for our new addition to the family by getting rid of a few things. Do not try this at home.
And, I’m sad to say that our local market is out of purple sweet potatoes and they told me that they’re not sure when they’ll have them again.
I will stop asking them and stop posting pictures on here, but I have to leave you with how to make the perfect one.
First clean it and poke a few holes with a knife.
Microwave it for 3 minutes or so.
Then bake it at 425 (I use convection) on parchment paper for about 30-40 minutes.
The skin gets all crispy and the inside is soft and sweet and ready to mix up with coconut butter, nut butter, cinnamon or whatever you want.
Beavis. I miss my purple friends already.
Ha.
That’s all.
I’ve got some cleaning to do, we’re celebrating Papap’s birthday tonight and it’s about time I ordered some Christmas cards.
Have a good one!
I’m running the Del Mar Athleta Iron Girl 10K tomorrow just for fun with a friend. We’re all about dressing up and decorating cookies at the end. Yay!
You can still register here or register at the event tomorrow morning. “STUFTMAMA” gets you 10% off any of the races.
Oh and……..
if you haven’t entered the Mizuno Shoe GIVEAWAY yet, make sure you do! It’s open until next week!
More holiday giveaways coming up. Just not today.
Anyone racing a holiday event this weekend?
How was your Friday night?
What’s your all time favorite delivery you’ve had in your life?

Shut up—-you got THE treadmill!! That is so exciting! (Be thankful that I live across the country, otherwise I might be at your house every morning to run on it!) 🙂
Enjoy!!!
We have the snowman and the dog. My 18 month old figured it out last week when we got our decorations. If i hear jingle bells sang in that creepy voice one more time, I may go insane. I think the batteries may mysteriously disappear.
We have all of the Snowmen musical decorations (yep, ALL of them!) and I put them ALL out every year. I LOVE hearing them and never get tired of them. My kids are getting older but they still can’t resist hitting the “play” button a few times each season.
So exciting that you got the Boston Marathon Treadmill! You deserve it, and I know you’ll put it to good use! 🙂
I wish I could run it! I’m actually back in San Diego this weekend, too!
Thanks, as always for sharing the “struggle” runs along with the great ones – and congrats for powering through it!!! I need to order Christmas cards as well … oops … and I was going to run a half tomorrow but it got cancelled for ice! Bummer! Good luck on your 10K, even if it’s just for fun!
You got one of those TREADMILLS!!!!!!
I think I am super jealous of you now!!!!!! UGH! I don’t like being jealous of others …..can you please get me a discount for one too …..?? We are loving the jerky around here…thanks!
And oh yes, I baked and baked….tried the Kneaders Sugar Cookie recipe and it is all that and a Boston Treadmill!! 😉
New treadmill. Yipee! Tell me more about it and where can I get the best deal? I’m getting very close to getting one of those, it hasn’t gotten over zero degrees here the last 5 days!
I’ve never microwaved my sweet potato for 3mn first, how is the result different than just baking it?
I’m watching some Modern Family reruns right now – one of my favorite shows!!
And – I can’t wait to see your new family addition – pretty sure it is going to be awesome!!!
I would definitely have to go with the inspires. I’m on my 2nd pair currently and they are by far my favorite. I’m a stability girl so I LOVE Mizuno not to mention they have the best color selection of shoes.
I hope your race today went well! I saw your pre-race picture on IG and your holiday outfit was super cute!
OMG! How exciting for you! I’m so happy for you. I can’t to hear all about it! Enjoy it.
I’m quite jealous of your delivery! SO exciting!!
OMG now i’m so curiuos… what is it…?
Such beauty on your runs! You are tight – hard or not – cherish the beauty! 🙂
I see a treadmill in your future! 😉
OK you & the kid pics crack me up!!!!! And the cat of course!
Got to love Modern Family!
So excited that you got your treadmill!!!! Can’t wait to hear all about your adventures on it!
I’ll be doing a Christmas Relay this Sunday (each person runs a lap around Lake Merced in San Francisco… which is just 4.5 miles). It’ll be fun and we’ll dress up a little, hehe.
OMG I’m so excited for you about that treadmill (and only slightly jealous, haha).
You should be staying plenty warm with all the veggie roasting you do! =) Using the oven in the winter is the way to go. I am drooling over those mushrooms in your picture….and cracking up at the twins on the cat’s scratching pad!
